I just played 3 days ago. I may be going for my first invasion. The first bear raid kill my 2 of my people out of 3. Made it to 5 people but winter killed another one. I might probably start a new game on this location so I can get the iron ore quicker. Thanks.

Searched for a cave for 2 days but never found one full version game is very frustrating especially bear attacks

Build anywhere you want , the games land mass isn't huge , people will walk . I'm on day 88 . Built on the O.G. spot I landed no wolves , no cave some ocean ... But everywhere has ocean . Good luck till valhalla

Thank you for sharing. By Elk spawner do you mean that's just where the map is spawning them, or is there an actual physical "nest" spawner of sorts like with the wolves? I couldn't tell from the video.
