Button flys are more common on selvedge jeans because raw denim shrinks after washing. Even if it's been sanforized it can shrink up to an inch or so depending on the denim. Since zippers don't shrink they can cause puckering around the crotch (the dreaded pants tent). This doesn't happen with button flys because everything shrinks proportionately. That's why most denim brands opt for buttons over zippers on raw and selvedge jeans.
So glad Asket received another review. Surprised you found the rise to be low, I felt the opposite. My 30W/32L black chinos are the highest rise pants I own. You could also consider giving A Day's March a shot.
I think the reason for button fly is 1. To minimize the curvy shape/fabric around the zipper area. You might notice when it is out of the box, the zipper is normally straight but after few washes the zipper starts to curve 2. To save cost as a premium zipper is more expensive than buttons in general uses.
@1:50 That seems to be a common problem in general nowadays, most tshirts seem to have a huge neck hole. I find it quite difficult to find a tshirt with a normal looking, small enough neck hole that is still perfectly comfortable
Ironically, for me the lightweight tee has the best (tightest) neck followed by the long sleeve, while the standard tee has a huge neck which I don’t like.
I'd suggest to try some Uniqlo clothing. In particular, after your recommendation on rain coats, I noticed they have one which is very inexpensive, looks great, although seems huge
@@BrockMcGoffI will definitely check out your other Uniqlo video. Today for the first time ever I went to a Uniqlo store, the one in Köln Germany, which is rather new. Bought their beige rain coat size XL, the L was too tight in the armpits for me (I´m 1.86m or 6' 1" tall, 97kg or ~212 pounds) The coat seen in photos online seemed huge but it is just right, fits really great and imho looks very elegant. Also bought a couple of linen shirts for the summer, a couple of socks, and finally also a supima cotton white t-shirt, which by the way has a perfect neck hole size, no objections at all. Very pleasantly surprised with this brand, Uniqlo is now easily my favorite clothing brand/store.
Dunno about that T shirt. Looks short and will surely shrink even if cold wash and hang dry. But i personally like my T shirt to be a little longer as they shrink anyways
@@Banguhrang07 hey guys! We actually prewash all our garments as we're very picky with the fit and want the first try to representative of how it'll be over the lifetime of the garment. So, wash cold or even on 40C, they won't move a single centimenter - just don't tumble dry!

I would love to just stand next to you, I'm 2m (6.56 feet) and I would love to see the difference haha. I have the same problems tho, when finding clothes but then the other way around, so watching your channel really helps with things like where to look for etc. Thanks, love your channel and keep on going
Dam. ¡¿There's a clothing company that sells shirts with costumize LENGTH?!!, finally. I always have to pay tailor for the length of shirts i buy. And obviously, im never satisfied with jackets because they are difficult to tailor.
I've been wearing their raw denim for about 6 months now almost daily 🤢🤢😋! they do loosen up specially around the thigh area. Do you recommend their chinos! I've been eyeing them for a while now
Great review! What do you put in your hair to push it back like that? I've had long hair for years and have only ever really used leave-in conditioner spray to keep it under control.
Do they actually deserve the price they quote? And I mean completely as a product, not as a brand and their philosophy. Is it actually that high quality?
It's definitely on the shorter side, but acceptable. 2-3 cm shorter, which is Asket regular length, will probably look OK as well. The general rule of thumb for tops length is to reach around mid fly.
