I really felt it when you touched on family. Am dealing with the exact same thing. When Kate mentioned about the relationship daughters have with their mothers, I felt like that is the main thing am facing, cause my mum somehow makes me feel like am the black sheep of the family. I even told her how all this affects my mental health and she told me that she wasn't a doctor, lol. So whatever Steph said about seeing people for who they really are it completely resonated with me! Love this

I like Kate's thinking. Having a baby and being married doesn't stop anyone from achieving their dreams. Age is not a measure of maturity. She might be 22 but with more experience. We are not all raised and treated as kids all our lives. Age gap should never be an issue.

Dilemma number.11...if you choose to settle down with the said partner and disregard your families advice/opinion, would you be able to live with the consequences of your decisions for the rest of your life?! Families, parents especially, can be extremely dramatic and it could get dark really quick. I'd think of the aftermath of my choice before completely disregarding advice...(Also not being oblivious to the drama that comes with "blood is thicker than water")

First of amazing convo, 28:03......we need women and society to stop projecting our opinions and expectations on what defines a woman,an education doesn't define a woman,neither does a partner,your friends ,your parents no one,what floats your boat doesn't have to do the same for mine,the negativity that comes with being a young woman and being naive and stupid is a script thats run dry,we need to give people the grace to experience life authentically and develop in a path that feels to the core of you right even in the moment,we need to stop gate keeping this format of the "modern woman" it's only crippling younger women making them second guess themselves cause why,I'm too young,I'm too naive,what if he plays me cause I'm manipulatable,stop the narrative we can guide each other with out being patronizing ♥️

Great conversation..so about the 23yr old your honesty not ready for marriage. Personally I got married when I was 24 now I'm 28 and trust me I wasn't ready for rollercoaster marriage,motherhood brings for sure. Take this time to know who you are. Its even been scientifically been proven that your brain matures when you are 25 so please take your time if he can wait till well and good but be selfish with your 20's.

I feel like age is not an issue, but only after reaching a certain level of maturity. For instance, if she was 30 and he was 40, I'd definitely advise her to go for it, age gap notwithstanding. However, at 21, she probably hasn't had a chance to even fully explore and understand herself and what she truly wants. Personally, if I married the guy I was dating when I was 21, I know I'd definitely be doomed today. 🤣🤣 I'm with the girl's family on this one.
