The 2018 model 3 LR RWD I bought new is still my cheapest new car purchase. Sale price 56k, $800/mo loan. $1000 reservation in 2016 $4500 to order $3000 down payment I used my fed tax credit in 2019 to buy bitcoin. Paid off my car with the bitcoin I bought with the tax credit 😂

@@badhombre4184 2021 Long Range with 4k miles bought in 2022 with FSD and acceleration boost. Paid $62k from Tesla. My car payment is less than 10% of my take home pay, so the massive loss doesn’t really affect me too much.

Bought a 2023 MYLR, cause little one on the way. Had a 2007 Toyota Camry prior, still have it actually, but the Tesla has more room and better safety rating. Financing for 36 months, which I believe was the lowest they offered at the time. Put down $29k, monthly payments are around $1260. HHI ~$900k

Take delivery tomorrow of my first Tesla. Bought a 2021 Model Y Long Range w/ Acceleration Boost and Enhanced Auto Drive. Put $1000 down. Payment is $665 a month. I’m a Lt for my County’s Sheriff Department. Salary is roughly $70k a year.

$0 down, didn’t finance w/ Tesla went through credit union. 2023 MYL, upgraded to whit leather and sport wheels, and white multi pearl paint -total plus taxes and fees $59k. payments $940, insurance $126! monthly charging at home as a high mileage driver $180+ Tax time: wrote off $15,000 off my car on my taxes + charger and install!

@xreed8 The forward collisions are my only gripe everything else hasn't been an issue. Everything else is pretty lax. The speeding was my biggest concern at first, but considering I can go 85 in a 35, it's not that big of a problem.

That’s still really expensive for the majority of people. You need to make $150k a year to afford it comfortably. If they went down to 20-25k then maybe a bit more affordable, but for now it’s still a rich man’s car. Unless you have no expenses and are blowing your income on a car😂

Secondly the amount of people making 150k is so limited in comparison to everyone below that bracket like huh. To afford it comfortably are you extremely frugal or just bad financially? That doesn’t add up.

Facts a lot of “expensive” cars are now in that range from Mercedes to Mustang GT’s I think it just comes down to what you simply want .. I think 35k for a EV tesla in good.. just because of simple things like no oil changes , saving on gas vs charging & etc

It doesn’t matter how much you put down on the Tesla you’re still gonna have like $600 to $800 payments you could put $10,000-$15,000 down and still have your payments that high depending on the interest you’re paying your credit score and anything in between

Yea, I’m surprised by some of these payments in how low they are. I put $25k down on a Model Y and the payment is around $675 for 48 month term. Bought this year, where interest rates are sky high.

It's nice to get some answers to these questions that no one else seems to want to ask. I'm still unsure if I can get in a new 2024 Model 3 LR with $4k a month ($48k a year) income. Even if I can put $15k down it seems like $550+ a month is still pretty high. Anyone here making that work?

Absolutely do NOT do that. Wait until you’re making $100k+, save up to buy it in cash, and only ever buy used. No reason to ever buy a brand new car until you’re a millionaire.

I was thinking the same way bro. Honestly the long range options now should be the bare minimum. If it averages like my current car which gets 470 miles on a full tank of gas then it’s gonna be hard making that switch, but honestly even 300 miles on a full charge wouldn’t be so bad

@@gray-state1703 300 isn't great for road trips. 400+ is a sweet number though I prefer 500+. Lucid air sells a Electric car with 500+ miles range. So it's not too much to ask. I figure more space in a SUV or truck should mean 600 miles if a car has 500. But the Cadillac Escalade IQ is 450 miles range and pretty inside and out. So it would be my first choice and 2nd choice would be the Lucid Gravity (Lucids pretty SUV)

@@Kenthetic Yeah, I have to drive to work…and everywhere else. I do ‘group’ most of my errands together, as much as I can. And my job is not far from home, so maybe it’s that…I do about 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back five days a week. 😌😊

@@Kenthetic Wow, you must be driving more than you think you are, or your vehicle may have a bigger engine (I had a ‘6’ once, those things are thirsty). And yeah, I fill-up every 30 days. Like I said, I do have some errands to complete, but I group everything I can under one trip or two a month. I’m saving a ton of money with this crossover lately. I do remember in the beginning, after purchase, I was wasting more money on filling-up…I think it was twice a month. Now it’s really awesome, I can go 30 or 34 days without visiting a gas station. 🤩🥳🎉

That's literally ever car in existence. Cars will always depreciate in value. Good example is my daily driver 2008 toyota prius. Some one paid 35,000 for the car. 12 years later, I bought it for $1600 😂 and drove it for nearly 4 years till I could save up to buy a used Tesla model Y. Picked it up for 26,000 put 5,000 down. My payments are about $320 because I financed through my bank. I love it but I still have a beater, truck and a diesel 4x4 I paid cash for. I don't trust the Tesla completley yet

I just love it when these people say I PAID " " but in reality they will pay 1- 1/2 to 2 times when there term ends. also the lady with 2013 tesla has free tesla super charging, that's because here battery is so old and can not hold its charge, why not give free charging LMAO. black lady with the kid $30,000 don payment , why not just buy a kia debt free. @@Babumoshaaai I couldnt have said it better. Bank owns the deed. & county will always charge property taxes with a few exceptions for the elderly. Can you give us more details like Apr, mortgage insurance, property insurance HOa, any repairs maintenance, replacements, what was downpayment
