Ehhh... When they started "listening to the community" really sent the game downhill as much as anything else. The peak of the game was when the original group of developers had their own vision for the game and didn't cave to people on forums. I hate to say it but nothing they will ever do will fix the game. Those original developers are basically all gone, not to mention the activision shit.

We've been saying for years how WoW is dying but this time it's different. Sad. I wonder where the millions of players will spend their time... Maybe make something of themselves or fall far into depression
Some very productive people actually play my real life friends that play consist of lawyer,businessman, and a writer and I myself am a Quality Assurance Project manager for semi big Tech. company I dont see the depression, nor the reason to climb higher as I've landed my dream job..I think your subjective perception of Wow players is misunderstood for whatever the reason you profile the way you do is probably what most normies suffer from assumption its the mother of all fuckups.

I've just cut off links with my parents and I was so ready for to lose myself in wow and it is garbage I've never been so sad in my life. The asthetics of BFA are great but everything else is garbage I used to play wotlk dungeons on loop now you couldn't pay me to do the new ones.

Milchi7 I think it does actually this thing used to be a licensed to print money and we were happy slaves to it. That market will always be there and yet they seem to be actively trying to push us away. I genuinely felt great sadness as I came to wotlk at another difficult part of my life and it was amazing tool to get away from the world for a good couple of hours ( I understand this was peek numbers) but even when I had no rewards it was pleasure to repeat things like dungeons over and over again. I played paly tank and loved that tanks were in demand, not because it made me feel wanted. But if I had some spare time and finished all my weekly stuff I loved seeing if anyone from my guild or just chat needed a tank so they could get there daily first dungeon reward. As I saw it unfair that dps peps would have to wait for times in order of magnitudes that always made me wonder why anyone would role dps. But the game was fun and it felt like I was helping people that was the wow experience to me that was something really nice. People use to talk, didn't take things to seriously and you could see that all over, the amount of times I was nearly dead while questing and someone raid tiered would just drop out of the sky and help me. That was the community, one brought together by a shared experience something that would keep people subscribed through the life of the expansion in stead of this patch month cycle interest. That experience was license to print money and they turned there backs on it which is just insane when you think about it really. I understand I might of come back with nostalgia glasses but this game can barely be compared with what was imo. This all could just be my view and no one else had this but you can still be sad about the passing of something. Omg I should not reply on RU-vid after a drink lol
@@jordanmoore4658 Everyone says that on the forums, but when I can play fast paced, personalized ability rotations (that are very engaging) in combat immediately in ESO, I can't imagine hitting two buttons through boring af quests for 50 long levels. I really tried and wanted to like FF 14, but it's combat/questing is really terrible.
Vanilla high warlord here... anyone that put time into vanilla could tell you how disappointed they are in BFA. Legion was good. It felt like TBC2. Now... they seen how successful M+ were and now they make us grind m+ all day to gear up. I miss the feeling of envy that I would see from someone using tier 1 or tier 2. Now it's "oh man, he has a m10 BiS weapon? I bet he only does mythic all day, or bought it for 200k. You could literally BUY progression. That.is.what.is.killing.this.game.
I have played for 11 years almost then came back for bfa jus to find out that it's the same old game over and over again. I love wow but it has became complete shit.
Let's see if he stops playing it though... Trust me, I feel the same way, however if he and others keep playing it, WoW will just have the mindset of "We are still the best, so we can do whatever we want" and they won't change. If Asmongold and other big time WoW streamers stop playing, things would change. But for now, all the trash talk about the game means nothing if you keep forking out subscriptions. I'll continue to keep my game unsubbed and waiting for classic, and keep subbed to other games.
We can all agree on that WoW is dead. But we have #StarCitizen upcoming, Anthem also. Blizzard keeps failing, its like they go back 10 steps and then 3 steps forward.

Anybody who didn't bail during panda and see this was inevitable I think was really hiding in some denial and cognitive dissadence. I have zero pity for Asmongold or anyone else who played pre wrath that are finally upset with this glorified mobile app joke of an mmorog game. Asmongold should make his own MMO. He has the spotlight, He has the knowledge of what a player wants. He has the money and connections to ask for more money. There is websites dedicated to crowd funding games. He can make it subscription based just like WoW. The only thing that is stopping him is himself. He has my type of personality where we debate ourselves and since we are always intuitive we can talk ourselves out of anything. We don't take chances unless the planets align and it is the perfect scenario. But to combat that argument of it being to risky, I would say " The only time we grow, the only time when big things happen in our lives, when things get interesting for us. Is when we take on risk that is bigger than we can handle. So many successful people will say that they expanded their business their brand, their social lives when they thought it was too early and it was a risk." If he starts development now, by the time it is ready Classic hype will be low because it would have already come out and retail wow would be dead. He could even delay the game if People get sucked into Blizzards emergency give them BC or WOTLK servers. I doubt he will see this, but if he does, I challenge Asmongold to make at least 10 levels, a playable demo of an MMO game. 1-10 one zone, one city, one mount, 2 professions. 3 classes. I would love to give my own opinions on what should be added, but let him figure it out himself first. With this challenge, you figure out the break down of what everything will roughly cost and can decided for himself is it worth investing the time and energy to it.
First of all it was made by a already established company with hits like Warcraft,Diablo and Starcraft it wasnt single man it was panel of people with experience making games for 20 years,the education, and the funds to back that all up..comparing asmon is just gamer/streamer his opinion makes valid points on the game why would you even entice the idea of him trying that .
