@@1wing1 yeah, but many interpred it other. Some say ,he only shot 3 times and prepared the 4th, the grand final, for camille. Either, his murder show was a big success for him.
@Goldmanschnozsteen sixtrillionberg I'd rather be a normie anyday than be a person who assumes a female champion who's been in the game 5+ years fighting another champion in a cinematic is 'sjw bullshit'. This chat is woefully toxic.
@@rainbowremo1 Literally all the villains are men and all the good guys and empowered characters are women. It'd be one thing if they at least tried to mask it with some actual equality in the ranks, but all they've provided is a second of token Yasuo, who is thrown in every cinematic and can't be portrayed as a villain, spinning offscreen with a close-up afterwards. Between Yasuo and Kennen combined there's like five seconds of proper screen-time in a 3+ minute video. Then, out of the women, one is black, two are asian, one's a white slave, and one's not even human. This is blatant SJW pandering, unironically the biggest example of such in the past half-decade, and they've done a lot of SJW shit. Hiring good artists and choreographers with the fat stacks of cash they made back when they didn't give into SJW whining, does not justify the message they're obviously trying to send.
@@Chocobow9 In my eyes Sion Draven and Jhin aren't even villains in this cinematic, it's just clashes between champions. No one even wins they just have these kinds of fight scenes as cinematics to promote the game and the new season. You can't delve into every single small thing in a cinematic and call it sjw pandering, because then you're getting as hysterical as they are.
@@KyleOber what do you mean weebs? Weebs are into anime... but anyway, yea, league weebs are way better. The chat hates everything except WoW, and follow that ape on the screen no matter what.
It's so funny when they reacted to the 2022 cinematic the call, cause the chat was malding when Asmongold brought up that the Riot cinematic had like 150+ mil views, and the WoW fanboys in his chat were malding that their dead game can barely pull 2 mil views on their latest expansion cinematic trailer.
@@dexter.4880 what... you have to look at the whole picture. If you are screaming sexism cause of lewd woman you have to scream sexism too if the man are wearing almost nothing simple. Just some logical falacies on his part but im not mad just a bit disapointed.
@@vk2336 Blizzard slaves don't work that way. Half of them are gay gachi muchi lovers, and the other half are the serfs of an SJW company, which is why they get to see Garrosh's and Malfurion's manly abs on the regular, but need their Hearthstone portraits censored because Metzen's daugher asked why they're wearing swimsuits.
I agree with mostly what he said, the thing that the trailer alone won't make me play the game BUT as a player, for example, it makes me really happy to see the cinematic. Seeing for example Jhin portrayed perfectly like that, an artist vs an avanguard it was amazging. At this point Riot just treats us with their cinematics and music videos to explore the universe, characters and diversity. (this had a gladiator like fight, magical realm, and a cyberpunk like side of the world) I do believe they are planning to make movie in the future since they try to animate different things from their world everytime just so they know what would work or what is appealing. As Poki which I don't particularly like, said for example, if these 3 minutes were to be extended into a movie it would be amazing.
Yeah I loved that Jhin part with Camille, it was so fitting and the fact that they added the stage as the place where they are fighting it makes it even cooler.
I mean that's just obvious, isn't it? if this was the exact same trailer but with WoW characters and stuff, he and his chat would freak out. He doesn't play the game and still recognized how good it is, the usual league player will of course enjoy it a lot more.
@Delta 38 those expectations are wayyy too high, come back in literally a decade or too. The game could also very well be shit from a design standpoint, theres POV (the camera barely ever even points to the opponents), controls (good fucking luck in an open world 3d game), gameplay (hahah me fight dude, now what) and way more. If you mean graphics then that matters very little
@@MatheusRodrigues-gm5tf They could at least show the blades cutting through people, like with that stabbed gladiator at the start, or the the lotus trap that freaking eats into that enforcer’s leg.
I remember watching him react to the K/DA thing and the fact that asmon didn't like made me asume the chat didn't like it either (which happend) but this video just showed me how toxic chat actually is. I mean what the fuck. And I thought Yasuo mains were toxic.
This cinematic, unlike the previous ones, were not made to sell "League of Legends: The Game." It was made with the idea of selling "League of Legends: The World." It shows off three distinct areas of the world, it shows a world that has both a more medieval feel; Ionia, where the big war is going on. Piltower, the fight between Jhin (The psychopath with the mask) and Camille (The Peacekeeper of Piltover) a city of technology and weaponry, and Noxus, ruled by Swain (Not in the Video) And Draven (Tyler1) who is the arena champion, fights Riven (The white haired badass) who is the main attraction, and the only fighter Draven is interested in. The cinematic showcases the world, some of the characters that live in them and does a very good job at hinting at the character's personalities through animation and appearance. The dutch angles used in Jhin's scenes helps putting the viewer a bit off, and helps setting up his psychotic mind. The "Fireworks" you see from his explosive traps, are blood, it is all seen through Jhin's eyes. He sees his murdering and killing as the perfect art, which is why it is portrayed as beautiful firework. He also intentionally misses the first three shots on Camille, and guides her into the air, to trigger the trap prepared on the chandelier, it is all about the performance for him, and if you look at the scenes with that in mind, it only gets better. There's a lot more to it, but there are plenty of videos analyzing the cinematic as it is, and they do a great job. The cinematic is amazing, and it is speculated among many that Riot might be looking into creating a new game, a show or a movie, all of which I would be on board with, personally.
the only thing I'm gonna nitpick is that please use other characters in the cinematics. No more riven or draven please, give the other characters some love (I understand they use them because of their popularity but still)
@@seifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Sadly, that is how marketing works. They're popular for a reason, and they are somewhat neutral in looks at the same time. Non-League players / fans probably wouldn't understand much if for example Ivern were a focal point, or Aurelion Sol, if you catch my drift.
@@seifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the thing is all of these champs are much older and their lores are intertwined with one another. The newer champs don't have such deep lores so there isn't much to really go off most of the time. Ivern for example doesn't have much lore really backing him, but I do agree A Sol and the characters of Mount Targon could use some love
@@shmooknib3113 uh shurima, piltover, freljord have ton of lore but i'm guessing the champions from those factions are not that popular so riot doesn't bother. And if there is not enough story to adapt, it wouldn't be the perfect opportunity to develop them?
Asmon's chat doesn't seperate women from SJW, it's really sad. LoL made women badass in the game long before all that SJW bullshit, and the cinematic has nothing to do with all that. Yasuo and Kennen are males for god's sake and they kick ass, so is Sion.
Sion=Blackhand ...sure, many of LoL champs are inspired from characters from all over the world and not only the appearances but also their quotes. Speaking of WoW if u check the LoL champ named Taric and some of his skins he's literally a BE Paladin ^^ There's also a Bruce Lee, an Anubis, a Gambit from x-men, a Medousa (greek myth), and so on. I find very interesting all this links with other games and everything.
@@Thyria1266 Oh right, he didn't come to my mind^^ I thought of Wukong because Gambit also fought with a staff and at some point did something like a Wukong Ultimate xd
Well not everything, all abilities displayed can be done in game, it's just the graphics and animation that rnt there, if they were it won't bee a free game
it's a good cinematic, fighting scenes lack a bit of impact but otherwise it's pretty great. I'd be really happy if any game I'm invested in did that kind of shit.
Impact might be lacking cause Sion is a living dead, who is almost impossible to hurt. And that's why there are a whole team of champions against him => he is super strong in the lore, and can reach super strong potential in the game.
And when Sion remake came out people were calling out the fact that he looked quite similar to Garrosh or any WOW orcs for that matter. Not that I cared or anything tho.
If you don't like the game, at least judge the world design, art, and music separately. This music video is amazing. How can Asmon chat be more toxic than the league community itself.
"When was the last time you had an electric tiger roll under an ogre, that is like on fire with magma in his belly, and blow him up with a lightning explosion." Well according to my dad more hardcore things happened every day on his walk to school so...
Blackhand got his updated looks only in WoD, Sion's reworked model already existed at that time for like a month, so who is the copycat in the end? Ignorance is bliss.
to answer asmonds question about the last time i electrocuted an ogre with a small creature i used pikachu to take down a snorlax thats probably the closest thing but not a good enough of a response
@@Ampaomike Fortnite will die out after a while. League defined it's genre, whether or not Dota came first. Fortnite is a dime-a-dozen fps Stream fodder game which once all the Streamers move on, will die.
Ironic of him to say that of Sion considering WoW borrowed most of its stuff from Tolkien, DnD and Warhammer. Also, his chat is mainly 12 year old kids so yeah..
Bro this guy in chat "markthemark" literally spamming cringe for over 3 minutes straight. How can someone be so sad? I'm a dedicated WoW Player since 2006, I do not like to play League but I absolutely love their cinematics. They are great and tbh, Riot Games really knows their shit. No denying that. I would not start playing League just because of the cinematic, yes, but I can enjoy those cinematics as a gamer. No need to spam BS in the chat then.
The chat is funny, WOW players saying league is dead is always gonna be a classic to me and lets not forget how many have the ego to say trash and cringe when the production is as badass and dope as this, these people are desperate and you can tell
