Kofta not kafta..dolma not doma..dolma is called n Egypt Mahshi..this grapes leaves Mahshi is a famous delish meal here n Egypt..we made a mix of rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper nd some spices, onion nd vegetables..we put this mix in tha grapes leaves..then we cooked it with soup..yummy 😋btw u eat it with your rice..no u should eat only 🙂

In Romania we have a kind of Dolma but it’s called Sarmale! The concept it similar but it have ground meets and vegetables without the herbs and it’s very delicious 🤤 it’s the traditional Romanian dish for occasions and holidays

Dolma actually what it's called. Except Arabic countries, all countries having it either call it "Sarma" or "Yaprak" or "Dolma".

In Turkish, Dolma comes from the phrasal verb of stuffing with something, but sarma means wrapping. To sum up, we call stuffed papper as Dolma, but stuffed grape leaves as Sarma rather than calling as dolma :) Enjoy!

Dolma is made first time ever in ancient Armenia, when turkey, and i dont speak even azerbaijan did not exist even. Its Armenian meal and traditional meal of Armenian cuisine, this is for knowledge to those who think it belongs to some countries, reality is different, many countries just insterted it from Armenian cuisine into their and call it their but reality is totally other.

I always enjoy your channel the best. You have variety and fresh plus different things...not just same old noodles or whatever. 2 questions... 1. I have cooked rice my whole life. Stove top and rice cooker. What type of rice do you use to get the separate grains like that? We live in southern, rural area and just have a few choices. 2. Is it just the cooking method? What she’s eating is basmati rice. If you use a ratio of 1 cup rice to 1.5 cup water, boil until most of water is absorbed then cover the pot and steam cook another 15mins on low heat. You’ll have perfect rice.
