Designer items are cheaper in Europe as most brands are European and made in Europe - LV is French, Gucci is Italian etc. There is no tax or little tax (European Union) to import and export these items around Europe whereas there is higher tax to export these products elsewhere like in the US or Asia.
I just bought my first LV 2 weeks ago in Vegas and got the Speedy B 25 in DE! Love your bag! It’s definitely more unique than the one I got. I got one of the basic ones a lot of people have but I still love it ☺️

Preeeetty sure only the flap is leather and the rest of that bag is coated canvas, which is why I usually can't get behind LV's prices...most bags aren't even fully leather.
Plus you can resell designer items. They're an investment too if you use them properly. I feel if you love something and it would truly make you happy go for it!
