Recently, what i had was classified as depression. And I probably had it sinse i was a kid. It's no excuse but after more then 18 years of living like that.... I don't really know what is outside of the box. It's so scary that i don't know what i want to do, what can i do, and why should i do anything. I dropped college, panicked at my first work and... Well, here we are. I don't really know what to do but, thank you. I haven't stoped trying and will not do so, and you gave me a little fuel to my hope, which is, i guess, quit a lot heh. Even though it might not be, thank you for beliving in me. (Sorry about any weird english part :p) Good night.

I always feel like I'm not in control of my life, and that other people are better than me. Listening to this at 1am is amazing and helps me so much - when I listen to you I feel like I'm hearing my dad comfort and motivate me. He was never really there for me, and I'm glad I can find the inspiration in other places to be the best man I can be. ❤

Saved this video earlier for now. 4am. I've got my headphones in and the more the video progressed the more the advice started to hit me? So instead of falling asleep I ended up shedding a few tears. It was a good cry though, don't worry. The part of the video that stuck with me was about being stagnant and feeling stuck. And especially about the whole idea of not knowing what you want. Those three things are very prominent in my life right now. I reached my 20s a few months ago and I've beaten myself up for not knowing what I want out of life. I've never had a set path or a huge fire in me for a particular direction. And I've always considered it to be my own fault for being so indecisive, and for looking at life with a pessimistic eye. But there is one thing recently that I can't go a day without thinking about and I really need to just at least START it. It's more of an ongoing thing, like a small project, but I can never take that first step. But I feel I need to at least try it before that little fire goes away again. I've been looking for a creative outlet for a long time now and this is sorta along those lines. Also in a few weeks I finish my first few months of therapy for anxiety + depression and I feel pretty much no different. And I'm terrified about it. So right now I really need that one little thing to keep me getting out of bed. Maybe that one little fire IS that thing but... who the hell knows anymore 😂 All I know is that this video was definitely needed tonight so thank you as always 💙 Really hit the spot.

I've been wanting to lose weight (due to 2 losses a few years ago from a ruptured uterus and a recent divorce i got really big) I've been feeling so swollen and depressed. I barely get out of bed. Wanted to leave another comment for this video- the last two years has been... easily the hardest time in my entire life. I’m going to vent for a second- I was accepted to my dream music college but after 2 years couldn’t attend because of financial reasons and it hit me really hard. I moved back into my parents house surrounded by the same people I thought I escaped from.... it turned into a toxic environment and when I stood up for myself they kicked me out... during a National pandemic. I’ve been moving all over the country trying to find a better place for myself. I was in South Carolina for a bit, Nashville, Breckenridge, and now I’m in Los Angeles. It’s been... REALLY scary (to say the least) and very hard and lonely and isolating but I haven’t given up on myself or my dreams. I’m still working hard to make my dreams my reality and whenever I am overwhelmed or panicking, I find myself coming back to this video. The guitar music in the background along with someone to “talk” to and to just relax has been soooo helpful, and I really appreciate what you do. It definitely is still hard, but I’m fully financially indépendant at 22 and pushing myself everyday to make my dreams a reality. It’s going to happen. And this video in particular has been with me on my journey through every step of the way, and I’m really grateful. Love you so much💖

This isn't just wonderful ASMR, its real and helpful advice and you give great advice :) Someone I knew once told me I carried the fire (its from a book/film called The Road) and I never believed them, so when you said 'Light a fire' it really struck me and why can't t be me? I don't do the creative things I want because I consistently think of other people and that I'm not good enough, but I like drawing and writing. I want to do it more and also change my job to help animals instead. Some affirmations ASMR vids can come across shallow feeling but this was genuine and its so clear from what you share about you getting started into ASMR and your friends journey and its inspiring :) (my original comment deleted when I went to edit as I'm typing in the dark lol)

It was indeed more meaningful. I've felt annoyed when some say follow your passion when so many of us do not have an inkling as to what that is. When some of us realize years later that we stepped on a path that necessetated caring for others. Our disabled children, later our parents. Exploring our passion wasn't an option. The path is, or may have been quite challenging, but so worthwhile. Life lessons that can only be learned by walking the path. So saying just try new things and step out of your comfort zone rings as true and sound words.
