The way he did it is through preparation. Notice how he chose only odd numbers so it'd be impossible to land on specific cards, you'd get the gist of it if you watch it back one more time

(My guess) He only has one yellow card and tries to convince you that the entire deck is yellow by giving it a shuffle, but with a little sleight of hand, he keeps the yellow card on the top of the deck. After a selecting his four cards, he places them on the top of the yellow card and goes to work with the trick. The sleight of hand to keep the grip of the double card hidden is actually incredible and where the skill comes in.

when he puts all the cards together he pulls them away and grabs half black and half red in each hand but u think that both decks are separated colours but they never were

no idea how to learn it tho it’s some slight of hand trick
