Aspirin Reduces the Risk of Colorectal Cancer
A new study from Norway published on July 2024 shows that use of low dose aspirin is associated with lower risk of colorectal cancer. Remember that US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) updated their recommendation for Aspirin for CRC on July 26th, 2022 saying that data is unclear for the CRC risk reduction by Aspirin. Let's review various pieces of evidence together.

#20, Hi Beeners! I have added an 325mg aspirin to my daily supplements because it reduces all-cause mortality. Aspirin has never had a side-effect on me. I am doing the same thing by taking a weekly dose of Ivermectin as prophylaxis of both cancer and viral infections. Why not, both are safe and I'm almost 80.

That's interesting. It's a high dose for daily use. Hopefully you have consulted with your physician as well. Stay healthy!

I take only 80mg each morning. I take vit D + K each night. K helps maintain blood clotting enzymes reduces risk of bleeding. Also generic aspirin has aluminum & titanium fillers that I can’t imagine are healthy. I take Bayer only. Took IVM once this week because wife was feeling sick I didn’t want to get sick. I don’t think IVM weekly is wise. Your body needs exposure to things. It’s ok to let your immune system function normally. Don’t be sure there are no side effects of either just because you haven’t noticed. Oh you’re 80. Well 😂

@@DrBeenMedicalLectures I shield my Primary Care Dr. because he works for a very large group and there are things the protocols won't allow him to do. He has been fully aware of everything I have done from the very beginning of the pandemic. Even though I never asked him to prescribe Ivermectin he has known and approved my using it since I started in December 2020. We review everything annually, I keep my online "Medication List" current, and I notify him online of any significant changes or issues. When he learned about the source of my Ivermectin the result was a smile & chuckle, and he never mentioned or recommended vaccination.

@@bryanutility9609 My guesstimate is about 230 doses of Ivermectin since 12-23-20 without any issues. A positive result would be a lack of any surviving eyebrow mites.

But most still recommend aspirin and like products for arthritis and similar things. Those of us with anything causing inflamation they tell most of us this and NSAIDS are all they have and no worries mentioned about gut or stomach trouble. Most of us 50 to 70 have been givin this for years. They never mentioned the stomach problems which most of us do get because what else is there? Antidepressants don't work.

I’ve been taking aspirin either either a full aspirin or half an aspirin for over 10 years now and my last colonoscopy was clear so it works for me and I’m skeptical of the results that it doesn’t work because aspirin cost pennies for prevention and colorectal surgery or treatment for cancer cost the taxpayers thousands

Dr Been. While i would obviously go to my GP for any long term medicine etc Ive read Aspirin essentially stays in your blood for 5 days. So if one was take Aspirin would it need to be taken every day or could it be taken every 4-5 days?
@DrBeenMedicalLectures
@DrBeenMedicalLectures 3 дня назад
Aspirin when taken for blood thinning has it's effect on platelets for 8-12 days (platelet life). However, we make more than two billion new platelets every day. Hence this effect of aspirin reduces within hours. This is why low dose aspirin (100 mg or lesser) is used daily for preventive purposes. The recommendation from the US Preventive Services Task Force is to use it for secondary prevention of CVD. For primary prevention of CVD a discussion with your doctor for suitability. And, no recommendation for primary prevention of colorectal cancer. I am not in agreement to their position for CRC though.

@@jewelleryaddict Anything taken long term in high doses can cause problems. I knew something was off when they demonized baby aspirin saying it caused reye's syndrome, something unheard of and rare and suddenly parents were instructed to give their babies kidney and liver harming liquid acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
