There are lots of people from shillong going towards railway station and airport....even tourist vehicles from Meghalaya should be allowed only upto byrnihat ...then people from Meghalaya should catch Assam vehicle upto the airport and railway station....fair and square
See we need to understand that there are 2 segments of travellers: 1. High class tourists from outside who book tour packages. For them, it should not be blocked. For the benefit of tourism in Meghalaya. Seamless entry/exit should be allowed. 2. The 2nd category is ppl going via sharing from paltanbazar/ khanapara/ isbt, etc. They anyways take taxi's for further sightseeing from Shillong. And this number is HUGE. So, what is the point here. They are anyways getting loads of low budget tourists who travel via sharing taxi's to Shillong and then rent bus/taxi's from there. I don't understand what Khasi union is trying to do? Are they trying to block the entry for all India tourists on packages???🤔🤔🤔 Also, it would not be too prudent to do it right now. Northeast is growing as a tourist spot. Many travel portals have said that it can become the number 1 tourist destination in India. Let's not disturb this growth process. Hope you understand.
Meghalaya sooner or later they will do like Sikkim state where no other tourist vehicle allows to roam around their state but for the benefit of their own people they allowed only thei local/tourist taxi n after all these years our tourist driver from Meghalaya just remained silence but this time the traffic it's too congested here n they think for the better....and also they don't want to make them feels like they are jealous or hate driver people's of Assam but for the better of our oun people
What I would say,dont steal our plate of rice and dont steal someone's husband,be happy of what you have and who you are and wherever God have appointed you.
