That's not really a crossover. It's Ezio reliving Altairs memories. Not Ezio and Altair meeting... There's wasn't suddenly retroactively added more missions in AC1. Another option would be Avaline in AC III, although that didn't go both ways either, and it was more of a cameo tbh.

He was never the canon protagonist, and was only included due to executives who demanded a male protagonist because og the "males sell more games" bullshit mantra. Same with Bayek and male Eivor... And to an extend Jacob. Kotaku exposed all that a couple of years ago. Now Bayek was pretty cool, but the original plan was for Aya to be the playable character.

@@Raggepagge You can convince yourself this is a "bullshit mentra" but you can't just ignore the fact, majority of players prefer play male character. Plus, you can't give the choice of character to the players and force them to play whith just one because "it's canon", it's a nonsense. There are ton of way to put both character on the screen on the same trailer, this is just a huge laziness from Ubisoft.

@@Raggepagge They revealed bullshit to you because Alexios has always been the main protagonist he was created first, kass was created much after him, starting from Alexios' model.This is how female characters are created, on the model of the male protagonist, ubisoft itself say this. Furthermore, in Origins the Oracle speaks of ``a god made flesh who comes from Thera`` (and not of a goddess) you make me laugh who believe the lies that ubi tells you to validate the female option that is there only for the inclusion

Kassandra is the canon protagonist in Odyssey. Female Eivor is the canon protagonist in Valhalla.

@@Raggepagge Tell that to the majority of players who plays male characters. So Kassandra and fem Eivor don't have the same success, tell me what is more logic : talk to the majority players or to the other part ? Argue more.

@@spartanj1045 marketing focuses heavily on male options... More players think male is default/canon... Thus more players choose the male option... Like, duh. It's a self fulfilling bullshit mantra, ya dingus. If they had actually marketed them equally there would be an equal split. Heck, had the devs gotten their way and been allowed to have a female only game, noone but incel crybabies would've cared. You're proving my own point to me. My gripe is not with the existence of a male character, so stop with the insecure projecting. My gripe is with the devs not being allowed to make the game they wanna make due to sexist management. There's no defending that. The only reason we have these convoluted bullshit justification for gender choice in a "historical" character game is because the devs got a half-victory in being allowed to *include* a female character. And in Odyssey it really showed, with Alexios sounding like a dumb Italian Johnny Bravo vs an actual good voice for Kassandra... At least it's more even in Valhalla, as playing as the male is canon when you're playing Odin/Havi. I play the canon character. If the next game has a choice, and the canon option is the male, I'm gonna play the male. It's that simple. In Valhalla, the canon choice is male for Odin/Havi and female for Eivor. I'm sticking to the vision the devs intended, not what some marketing dudes forcefed me. ... I have spoken.
