The game has already been reviewed and a consensus has already been made, so it really comes down to performance when it comes to the decision of picking up the Switch version or not. Hehe, "the strings". :-) AC is yet another popular series I've never gotten into. Yet. The switch gets me in this weird "buy all the games!!!"-mode. And it doesn't look uninteresting at all. Hmmm. 🤔

Hoping my brother would give me this for Christmas so I could go full pirate on the go. Also hopefully Ubisoft would bring Ezio Collection later down the line.

I think with ports like these performance video are all that's really needed. Unless there's a major overhaul to the gameplay or controls, making sure the game works well on Switch is the most important thing to know.

This is the brand new one coming out on the Switch soon in December, right? Man, I want this so bad! Definitely looking to get this at some point.

Clearly, they learned from their blunder before. I think that the fading characters are unseen bugs and a little update will make that fade away.

In one year I managed to get three of my top ten games of all time on Switch. Two in the same week no less. Assassins Creed Black Flag, Alien Isolation, and Diablo 3. All that run better then first run on PS3. In fact I got the Switch in April for my 40th. I can’t believe all the other games I’ve added Witcher 3, Dark Souls, and finally the full version of Civ 6. Plus finally owning a current Smash Brothers. Doesn’t even cover games I got but have yet to play. Zelda BOTW, Ace Attorney, This is the Police 1&2, Mario vs Rabits. But adding Alien Isolation was tough, online only 18 GB. With all the rest of my updates and DLC. I’m at 50GB on my card but 38 for first year is pretty good. Thank you Switch up for all the help in what I picked up and learned about the Switch. You’re the main reason I ended up getting the system.

Glad to see it runs smoothly. Audio is very often an issue on the Switch due to the significant compression of files. I'm impressed with the shadows quality and rather nice textures, but above all with a fluid frame rate. Thanks for this information; it will help a lot when deciding whether to buy the game or skip it.

Oh man, I got so much nostalgia from the AC4 theme music at the beginning of this! So much has happened in the last 6 years, I can’t believe it’s been that long that I played this game on my PS4 on launch day. Time to jump in once again! 😊

I’m shocked they showed no gameplay untill now, I was expecting this to be a mess and needing a patch, don’t wanna buy another bloody game but I got to get this !! , haven’t been home for a couple of days and have alien isolation pre loaded to look forward to haha, Black flag is so good I’ll probably buy later tonight :)

Sneaky, I thought it was all on the gamecard but IN GAME if you click on rogue it takes you to the eshop to download rogue and all of the extra content for the collection.

I just bought this game on the switch for a discounted price, which is great...but not even five minutes into my gameplay I've run into an annoying bug. For some reason I can't hear Edward's dialogue, in and out of cutscenes. I can hear all NPCs (excluding his love interest in the bedroom cutscene with her--she was muted too). I haven't really found any way to fix this online besides a reddit post saying that I should download the games other language packs to fix the bug. But that did nothing, I've tried other languages and I am still un able to hear Edwards Dialogue. Does anyone know a solution to this bug??

So is this a big improvement over the last Assassins Creed release on Switch? I avoided the last as I had owned and played it on WiiU, but I never got around to buying Black Flag on WiiU so this would be a purchase for me (or hopefully a Christmas present if I drop enough hints)😊

Having. Played AC 4 Black Flag previously on PS3, Xbox 360 & Xbox One the Switch version to me looks like absolute dog shit with the graphics...as for the motion controls..i'll say a very big HELLL NO..the AC series is one game series that absolutely SHOULD NOT have motion controls included..the motion control was by far the worst feature when Ubisoft included it in AC3 Liberation on the PS Vita as a result it's the biggest reason why the Vita version sucked..don't get me wrong i love the Vita i think it's a great system and the motion control worked great for the Uncharted games as well as a handfull of other good games on the system, but AC 3 Liberation..hell fucking no...it wasn't until they rereleased the game onto the PlayStation and Xbox consoles with traditional gameplay controls that the game finally got decent & worth playing..Unless its Just Dance or something like that Ubisoft can fuck right off with motion controls in there games ESPECIALLY in Assassin's Creed..just like both Sony & Microsoft can fuck off with literally ANYTHING like PlayStation Move or Kinect for they're PlayStation or Xbox consoles..🤢🤮😡😤

Remember playing this religiously on pc back then and I wanted to revisit this game it’s still tons of fun and looks amazing on the switch. The portability and the fact that this game is on this platform is a big win for me.

I do find these performance videos interesting.

This is encouraging. I played Black Flag on PC for the first time last year and although I will lose the higher frame rate, the rest looks really good.

The only time that I noticed any frame rate issues in the Switch port of The Rebel Collection was when boarding a Man o’ War, resulting in some lag. Aside from that though, I thought that it ran great!

I think Ubisoft thought with 3: we have a WIi U version already so why the heck should we make a new version for Nintendo? Just upscale it and everything will be fine.

It doesn't look like a lockdown 30fps from the footage. Looks quite jerky to me, and I'm no snob. I have a 144htz monitor for my pc but I don't really notice much of I difference between 60 and 144fps. And 30 on consoles has never bothered me always looks fine to me. This doesn't however which makes me doubt it's a locked 30fps

I got AC3 on the switch while it was on sale and I havent noticed any performance issues that ruin the gameplay. I guess its been updated since because it mustve been pretty bad before that.
