I'm reviewing Assassin's Creed The Rebel Collection for the Nintendo Switch which includes Black Flag and Rogue. This was my very first experience with a game in this series!

Correction to the video: Rogue's character is not Edward's son, a friend of mine told me that and I've thought so all along but he isn't 😂 👍 sorry that was wrong. What are your thoughts on the series? Which game is your favorite?

Unity is by far my favorite in the series. Arno is an amazing main protagonist and his story is very well done. There's a really nice love story in it as well.

I like Unity because of the time period since the French Revolution is one of my favorite historical time periods. But when it comes down too playing mechanics and exploration I would say Origins, AC Odyssey was also good. I am just excited for AC Valhala.

If your talking about at 00.42: seconds in well if you hold the trigger to run not all the way down it will make you jog

Assassin's Creed: Rogue is my favorite of the series. It's the only game I've ever played that really captures the feel of the Seven Years' War in North America.

The only thing that I hate about the rebel collection is that in ac rogue there are spyes everywhere and you have to be always be alerted

AC IV is a great game. I played it on WiiU years ago and now I'm replaying it on PS4.

I got used to it in handheld but it definitely feels better docked with a pro controller in my experience I was a newb too so early gameplay was a bit ehhh for me too lol, definitely some tricky missions too But I got a lot more into it once I got a better feel for it (and unlocked more things) So far I’ve only tried black flag lol

I never once noticed that Edward walks slowly! Maybe it's because I enjoyed the game from the absolute beginning so I wasn't in a hurry. Funny you say the music isn't that great, but it's like music from a movie. Exactly, epic! It's one of my favorite game sound tracks.

The non "control-y" controls are what turned me off Assassin's Creed series when I first tried them. So I get it. But playing Odyssey and Origins make me want to go back and try those older ones again.

For me it was exactly the other way around. Loved the first few hours, but clearing the map became mucho tedious.

There is a middle ground when running and sprinting, on PC you hold space to walk a little faster in crowds

I dont know about others but I felt the style of ur reviewing was kinda in a good way. There was an element of cuteness I would say 😅& the fact that you were not familiar with AC franchise but enjoyed as a beginner was also enjoyable. My comment sounds more like a DM !!!!!....😂

Shay from Rouge isn't Edwards son, there not related in anyway. Edwards son and grandson are in Assassin's Creed 3, black flag was no 4. But still good review I wasn't even aware they where on switch, black flag is my fave and the portability factor is a seller.

Black Flag was your first Assassin's Creed game? Yes..., you do have to "get through" that first part to get to "The Game"... but once your are there. #awesome. Another Great Review. Already had this on my X though so no need to buy again... although... very... hard not to when Ircha Gaming gives it 8/10. 😁

AC Rogue takes place during the events of the Seven Years War between France and Britain what also is known as The French And Indian War. Which was a War too see which Empire was gonna control North America.

You should try the newly released Ezio collection on switch, even more dated Assassins Creed game, but easily the best protagonist and story in the whole franchise, such a good trilogy

Im sorry but I must correct something you said. In Rogue you play as Shay Patrick Cormac, he is not the son of Edward kenway, that is Haythem from assassin's Creed 3. You really need to play assassin's Creed 3 remastered on the switch, it fills in quite a bit of the story.

I am stuck on that initial follow the guards hire the girls at 1% I feel so frustrated and have put hours into it, then deleted..... help? I hate it and I know its user error but still...haha good review, rock on!

Ive played alot of the AC series .. Black flag seemed the worse for the 'connecting' with the environment , But still a good series.. Great work on all you do Ircha.. To be honest, I enjoy hearing your accent

Black Flag on Switch was also my first introduction to the Assassin's Creed games (I didn't even get on the ship to travel to Havana), I quit because I had *no* idea what was going on, and it was totally overwhelming for me. But I *do* plan on playing it again one of these days (because, who *doesn't* like pirate games?). And yes, these assassins *are* veritable monkeys!

I've just been way too busy with the Witcher. Once I've finished the entire game and both DLCs (I've only finished the base game and the 1st dlc, HoS, so far), then I'll play Black Flag.

I played this one and then the Assassins Creed 3 remaster. I think I prefer AC3, because I'm not that bothered about the boat and the steering felt like it was fighting me for the most part. Also AC3 has the remastered version of AC3 Liberation and I completed that on my Vita years ago.

I recommend buying this game on sale. They do it frequently and price drops to 17.49 USD iirc.. Very very wonderful game. If you like an Assassins Creed game for the switch this is the best you can have imo.. Runs and looks Smoothly..

For me the issue of assassin's creed is that are just too many, they don't give us a break. We like to craving for more. You need to try LA noir or saint row if it's your kind of game

My 1st Ass. Creed game and I must say the boring beginning and slow walking made me stop playing before it opened up. Probably won't go back because I have a Wii U copy. Somehow you got me interested in trying it again maybe I'll pick it up on Switch if I see it cheap.

Been playing 3 on switch and I have found more or less a bug per hour, most were minor but three of them forced me to restart the mision. Ubisoft games are famous for thei bugs but I expected the ports to be not so bad. Hope the port of 4 doesn't have that many bugs because I liked that game a lot when I played it.

There is no Assassins Creed thst is immune to bugs. This is already the staple of the franchise. Lol. With that said. AC 4 Blackflag runs smoothly in th switch.. Framerate is mostly stable.. 35 hours in game and there's no FPS drops during town free walks, combat, or even ship battles surprisingly.. Bugs aside I haven't encountered anything yet that literally halt my gameplay ssverly.. Just some random npc popping on and off your vision or sometimes your character will do the wrong action. Like instead jumping to the haystack you will instead jump off the roof to your death.. Tho I experienced this during tight chase moments so maybe I input the directions wrong?? But like the review said the controls are quite janky times.. Much like AC 3 control wise.. This port is alooot smoother and cleaner overall than AC3 imo.

Lots of love and hope you are staying safe❤️ PS: Play Syndicate next you can get it for 8-10$ for PC and it is realllly nice after this one and Origins and Odyssey! It has a lot of Vampyr city vibes if you played that one.

@@ircha The :) The game is beautiful. The story was solid and entertaining. The game-play was crisp but they need to work a bit more on that souls-like lock on system. The combat got a little chaotic for me. The :( toward the end of the game, I had to search the map for side missions just to level up to finish the story, so it kind of broke the flow of the experience. I hope they don't do this with Valhalla.

I go for a consultation with my gastroenterologist for surgery and this will be my 56th surgery and given my health I may have to be admitted overnight in the hospital and so I want to take the assassin's Creed games with me on my switch so next week I'm buying this game next week for switch

9:10 No, in Rogue you do not play as Edward's son. You play as Shay. They are not related. Edward's Son is Haytham Kenway. And Haytham's son is Connor. You play both in Assassin's Creed 3.

VERY small nitpick, but Edward is from the 17th century. Great video though! Black Flag is definitely my favorite Assassin's Creed though.

Isn't the year 1750 something? In the English language you say 18th century when you've passed 1700, right?

Honestly, the modern day segments take me out of the game. As soon as I'm back in the boots of Edward, it's amazing. Perfect game even in 2020. Getting it next week so I can replay ll the memories :)

Wow i had the same thoughts. It took me time to get into as well. But its alot of fun. At first i thought it was gonna be too janky and too dated for me to get into. But its really good once you do
