Official announcement for the first Assassin's Creed game with full motion control! Live your legacy as a member of the Assassin order and learn to execute classic moves with your hidden blade or your bare hands!
Get in shape while your come ever closer to the truth locked away in the DNA of Desmond Miles, and his legendary ancestors like Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Connor Kenway.
April Fools!
This is a fan video completely planned, executed, and financed without the support of any of the companies related to Assassin's Creed, Kinect, or Wii.
We rented a RED Epic camera and a dolly, then pulled together a great group of friends that includes filmmakers, actors, effects artists, stuntmen, and even two business analysts to pull this all off. We shot it in one day, but did a lot of prep and post work.
A big shout-out goes to jpegolina who made the "Masyaf Key Loading Screen" and "Animus Black Room" videos that we used at 0:13 seconds and 0:27 seconds. You can download them through her youtube page!

We also used an excerpt of Lorne Balfe's "Labored and Lost" from the official Assassin's Creed Revelations soundtrack, and did our own game capture on a Hauppauge HD PVR.

I know, feels like the perfect game for that kind of system. If they could make walking and running intuitive, I mean I act out scenes when i'm thinking about games and it would be dang cool to be an assassin.

it's a great idea. It's ALMOST doable now with PC version and a kinect.. but to be usable it would need the game to have an API available so the kinect controller can know what is going on in the game at different times

We rented a nice camera and a dolly track, we already owned lights and a camera jib. I am a stuntman and carpenter so I made things the breakaway table and had my apprentice make the WiiBlades, then another stuntman joined us for the "hook and throw" while I did the leap of faith. My girlfriend is a gamer (trying to qualify for IPL now) and we got her gamer friends in and we grabbed some other filmmaking friends and viola! The TVs are covered in green poster board to act like green screens.

This is actually possible if Ubisoft wanted to do it. Using gestures to replace buttons would be simple. However, getting around and other stuff that's not really possible plausible with motion controls would require some clever thinking, or holding a controller perhaps.
