I've been an AC fan since the beginning. I can't possibly understand why anybody would think this is a bad game. Not only did it bring new life to the series, but it is one of the best and most original open world games out there. I love it.
U r right (about this game) and u clearly don't understand what it means to be an Assassin (from the first 2 games' perspective) in saying that "Not only did it bring new life to the series" . But yes, other parts r true. So we must ask ubisoft to #Remake_AC_Iand_II_series with new technology
+evolvingandroid Well, apparently, Rockstar demoed a game at Gamescom behind the closed doors. No one knows what exactly it is.....People say it's either GTA 5 story DLC, or a completely new game. If it is a new game, i really don't think they can do anything else other than a new Red Dead game. There's also that Agent game, but i wouldn't really count on that.... And if they have indeed demoed a new Red Dead game at gamescom, i would expect it to release late 2016.
I hope you're right :) I went on a googling spree but all I could find was just rumors. However a few months ago Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar, did say we should expect to see some 'AAA' titles within the next two years.
Single best game in the AC franchise. I can understand how an AC fan would disagree, but I feel that from a critical standpoint, this is the best. I love all the other preceding games, but this is the only AC with a self contained story and a true character arc. Ezio was great, but his story still fell very heavily in the Assassins vs Templars thing, and didn't have as touching of a story as this one. Edward was a deeply flawed, but very likable character, and his story was the most fun and effective. His growth felt natural and where he ended up in the conclusion not only made sense, but was beautiful. Not to mention how well the Pirate setting facilitated this kind of personal story. One of my single favorite games of all time.
Most enjoyable AC yet. Don't know what people are complaining about. Ever since they released the first AC I'd been praying that they'd make a pirate one and they did! And it definitely didn't disappoint. Amazing game.
Jimmy Boy Definitely my favourite AC together with the Ezio Triology. They did such an great job in creating an absolutely beautiful gameworld paired with a great story and caracters you just have to love. What I absolutely dont understand is why some people say that AC died with Brotherhood or Revelations. Those were fantastic. And even the weaker title in the series, AC III, was quite nice and enjoyable : )
anyone else agrees the stealth in this game is by far the best of the series? i really liked to do all assssination contracts in this, just like ac2. but better. with ocasionally explosives and extra money for not sounding alarms. the eagle vision is for the first time useful and some of them even start running away and get to the ship and you have to persue the bastard by the seas or shoot him before he gets in the ship.
yes but the guards are sily sometime they dont see you kiling they felow meters from them and then anotertime they see you kiling someone from meters distance,all in all its a great game i love it i only wish more misions couse i want to play it forever
to everyone looking at this, This is the best AC game to date, its way better than unity aswell. do yourself a favor and get this one, as it is the best of them all.
I do agree that it far succeeds over AC unity but however AC2 was one of my favorite assassin's creed game so far, however, that might soon change once i reach further in the game, It's so ADDICTING and there is so much to do, at first i wasn't a fan of the whole pirate ship fight because you get easily overwhelmed but that was because i haven't done much upgrading but then again it was hard to upgrade, so it was slow for awhile, but once my ship started to become better(with better armour) It was one of the most addicting parts of the AC game in history C:

nicomg1295 Why? I mean, any time you wanted people to fight you, you could just attack somebody. All the notoriety system did was force you to deal with guards when you didn't want to, or go through the hassle of removing posters or bribing people to get the notoriety lowered.
Vic 2.0 that's a good reasoning, and I dont have a good reason myself. For some reason I actually liked it. Maybe its just nostalgia. AC2 was my first AC game after all. You know? It was actually my first ps3 game (along with Sonic Unleashed and CoD black ops, got them all at the same time)
nicomg1295 Well let me clarify: I *also* loved AC2, and considered it a vast improvement over AC1 (which is also great, and I would recommend you play it if you haven't). Overall, AC2 is a masterpiece of a game. I just didn't care for the notoriety system. That being said, I happen to think each AC game was better than the one before it. That's just because Ubisoft tried their best to improve on things (both big and small) with every installment in the series.

To be honest this wasn't written badly the reason why I didn't feel more connected to Edward than I was with ezio is because ezios story is much deeper.......plus ac revelations and before had an ancient mystic feeling to it that ac3 and ac4 don't have...
The main problem for me with this game is that at some point, it becomes more of a pirate game than an assassin's creed game. You spend way too much time in the water. At least it has pretty awesome missions on land.
I have completed all six AC games and AC 4 is possibly the best in my opinion, both for story line and content. I feel there is almost too much stuff to do with exploring islands and roaming the sea but this can be over looked when you realise how limited AC 3 was and is a welcome change. AC 5 could follow on from this game as the story 'ends' with Edward Kenway sailing back to England and we get a cut scene years later where we see Kenway with his infant son Haythum (father to Connor in AC 3). In this way AC 3 and AC 4 are the wrong way round chronologically but that's just me knit picking. I would love to see AC 5 take place in Victorian London or maybe even head to Japan for a Samurai story line, either way the next game cannot come soon enough!
I have to say, I did not expect much from this game because I was not blown away by AC3 and I thought Ubisoft was grasping at straws when it decided to create a pirate game in a single year. This game far outlived my expectations and is my favorite game of the series to date (I have not however played the first two).
2 was great and was my favourite the others i played a little but they milked it but for some reason i loved 4 more than expected and i reckon it's the best one, it's amazing what a setting can do.
I was hoping the multiplayer would have a create a crew thing where you can have your crew/friends sail on your ship with you and battle other crews on ships and find treasures and stuff.
multiplayer would very much be missed. in a game that holds your hand and is for the most part a collectathon casual open world adventure the multiplayer is a perfect blend of meta, skill, and dexterity...
This is by far my favorite Assassin's Creed yet...i was skeptical when Desmond was gone....but after finishing it i can see that the series has lots of life left in it....its the hardest Assassin's Creed too...hope the trend continues and we get a 1 hit 1 kill difficulty setting...:)
i dont like boat stealth and i think there are too few weapons for edward to use but considering the scale of the game its easy to see these as minor issues... i would maybe like to see playing as multiple characters like GTAV where each character has a different weapon loadout OR a co-op mode OR something similar to watch_dogs multiplayer where you hack into other animuses to kill the player and recieve moneys this is a great game but a AC game it is not...based much more on pirating than doing any actual assassination and however i would not like to see ubisoft ditch naval mechanics (and would be happy to see a pirate fantasy franchise of some kind) i just dont think they fit into AC too well..still...well done ubisoft...
honestly this is quite strange as normally i love it when it's easy to get rid of my wanted level. But this time when you die it's gone witch really does make sense, but when i am trying to get a full wanted level it's almost impossible as i keep getting killed by sheer luck on a glitched jump, or a lucky stab in the back whale boarding. not to mention when i get in over my head and suddenly realize that i have been surrounded

Best Assassin's Creed games to date? This was a great game as a pirate game but it isn't great as an Assassin's Creed game which's a shame because I didn't really like all the naval battles and stuff, I just like regular old Assassin's Creed.
My favourite Ac game gave new life to the series and is very fun with great combat on land and sea. Edward is a fun likable character good game for both ac and pirate fans.
I was very unsure about this game after being extremely bored with ACIII. When ACIV was announced I had no interest. This review makes me think that while it may be repetitive like the other games, this looks like a blast for an open-world pirate game. While I am not going to rush out and buy it, I think I need to pick it up a few months down the road when it drops in price like all the Ubisoft titles do.
Try Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I hesitated buying this game because 3 was sort of a disappointment. I think that since they developed this one primarily for PC and next gen, developing time was probably cut in half, giving them time to work on refining the game. The pop in is nowhere near as bad as in AC3 and the characters feel more developed. Not to mention the scenery is just gorgeous. But it IS more of the same. It's kind of like what DICE did with BF3 and BF4. BF3 felt sort of unfinished. The lighting effects and water were horrible and the map design for some maps was just... lackluster. Also, some aspects of the game are still broken to this day. In BF4 they really worked on these minor annoyances and put out a game that somehow managed to be twice as good as BF3. I don't know how they did it, but they did Trust me, AC4 is an amazing game.
I love all things 'piratey' (which is why I own all Pirates of the Caribbean movies) so this looks fun and exciting to play. I see xboxlive has it for $29.95. Anyone who's played it, is it really worth it? (I'm not a big AC fan, although I have nearly finished AC2 only so far and none of the rest).

You sure you didnt' see your own mouse pointer? They said they were only able to review the current gen version, which is not PC. Also it shows things like press B to (Interact with things) not too mention it shows your action options in the top corner, and guess what it shows x,y,b, and when they showed the map their were options to use the RT, which last time I checked isn't available on the keyboard. Now yes they could have used a gamepad, but that is unlikely, I very rarely see that happen.
Best review I've seen thus far. Not that I wasn't going to buy my favorite franchise's 6th installment, the other reviewers seem quite nitpicky. Looking forward to my purchase for PS4 next week.
Why can't you guys mention any of the PC's graphical features? You mentioned you reviewed Current Gen, but its on PC... and PC essentially will look better than PS4/XB1
With the Next Gen versions being so much better in graphics, mechanics, visual effects, game simulators, etc, etc.... It should be a much better score.
I was referring to the story, it seems you were referring to the gameplay. I would not disagree its repetitive but so are all the sequels, the free running mechanics are also worse then ever before on AC4. Its been designed for simpletons.
AC4 Campaign is a HUGE disappointment, Melee combat is worst than AC3. Bare bone stealth mechanics(apparently bushes and tall grass are your best allies) with broken AI which will fail your mission countless times or engage you into an open battle. Ship battles lacks power and good sound assets unlike AC3 where cannons felt powerful. But here enemy ships are EXTREMELY cannon ball spongy. Story lacks real emotional impacts with these card board characters that are lack of emotions and personalities. I can go into detail on the poorly scripted story but this is considered as spoilers. Very Limited mission variety for both side quests and main quests. less craftable items(you can only craft health upgrade, 3 gun holsters and pouches for darts and bullets, and you can just buy materials at a weapon shop .....Seriously?!!!) and less weapon choices(you have 3 weapons and 3 gadgets only, and you get 1 of them gadgets during the middle of the story and 1 at almost the end). Here is everything I have encountered within the game, and unlike these so called "reviews", I would actually like to share these problems with people, to help people distinguish what kind of game this is with its pros and cons. Rather than being influenced by these carefully crafted marketing materials.
I disagree with everything except AI and combat, stealth was upgraded though and the story and characters were pretty neat, the ship, when fully upgraded makes you feel like Poseidon's second coming, the crafting is all right at least everything you craft is useful, and Id rather have a few useful weapons rather than multiple useless weapons. I say its pros and cons so people arent influenced by spamming trolls like you.

But I am gonna explain why I said what I said and the reasons behind it. Please understand I m not trying to have/start a fight, I m simply sharing my opinions with people, to look out for other gamers, to inform rather than influence, and regardless of what I said it shouldn't change you from enjoying the game if you love the game strongly(I m actually quite envied of you for it)(ps. I would love to make a video about all of this, but I m not intellectually and creatively capable of doing such thing yet, so I m sorry about these long comments and my lack of skills in English since they are not my first language, I m really sorry but hopefully you can understand) Ok first, the reason of my comment is because I hate these reviews in the first place, they are awfully short, they usually don't share any problems of the game with the gamers and we are all in the dark but they don't because they get review copies before the release, and all they did was to cover/avoid/misdirect/ignore the bad with good stuffs and fancy words and witty comments just like a typical salesman. I can't trust these reviews because of these Which is why all reviews like this to me felt like just another commercial to sell me the game. I didn't say any pros because all these reviews said was pros. And Frankly I just hate the score system within the journalist industry, they have no reasons behind them and highly influential and misleading to gamers. I don't care what score The War Z or Ride to hell retribution or Day one Garry's incident got, I care what people said about them and exposed what's wrong with them. So I amongst many others avoided them. I m not comparing AC4 to these games, please read carefully. Ok the problems with the game, first the story and it's characters(spoilers included since I do believe you finished the game) Edward-- I do enjoyed the flashbacks of Caroline(his wife), to me it showed Edward just another man wanted to provide for his family, and I do emphasize with this. But there were only 3 or 4 of these little flashbacks and there are no memories of how they met each other and cared for each other therefore I can't feel the love he has for her. Instead he spend most of his time doing what exactly? He was funny at the start of the game, but as the game moves on, he gets moodier and moodier after each section. And the fact that Caroline was never mentioned outside of these flashbacks then at the end Edward gets a letter and a daughter for no reason. is she sick? is she dead? who knows ? I don't. "friends" and Villains- these are suppose the people you care about in an assassin's creed game yet by the end of the game, I can't remember any of them except Mary,Ann, Blackbeard ,your second in command(the slaver guy) and, Robert. all others lacks emotions, traits, and personalities. And all Edward did was do 1 or 2 missions for them or just kill them or they disappeared forever or they dies in a cutscene, there aren't any interactions with your "friends" outside of the missions and you can't learn any of them of what they are. Plus the fact all your crews look alike either a black guy face or a white guy with moustache or without, they don't do nothing in combat other than interrupt your combos, get in the way, get killed or very rarely kill one enemy out of 15 or 20. They suck at their job, and I didn't care much for them too. During the story one of your "friend" betrayed you and stole your ship and left you stranded on an island with all your weapon. And what happened next? instead of making an effort get it back you get your ship back instantly after a frigging cutscene, and your "friend" alive and imprison by you. Wow just incredible. The story keeps jumps from time to time and felt forced pushed abruptly and rushed, I advanced one month because blackbeard said to meet him after a month, what did he do in that one month? I have no idea. The ship battle are unsatisfying with poor sound assets. Ship battles in AC3 was the best thing not just in that game, but its one of the best game mechanics in the history. loading cannons takes time and firing them takes precision, enemy ships didn't have any healthbars, and that's OK because you can tell how badly damaged they are just by looking at them. Every time you fire you can almost hear each cannon balls being fired and you shouted "FIIIIIIIIIIIRRRREE"at the same time they were loud and powerful and they got you PUMPED, and you and you crew all cheered after a hit, it felt nothing but satisfaction and awesomeness. But AC4's ship lacks all of these wonderful features. poor sound quality for the cannons is just no match to AC3, you will spam cannons again and again rapidly but no real effect on the other ship other than it's healthbar goes down a sliver. Sure that's the progression of gameplay, but even with all the upgrades to my ship and I do mean all of them, it still took sooo long to take down a ship, even in the medium difficulty section of the map, since every battle is like that late game, it to me felt so repetitive and just hated it, so I just avoided all of it. Sure you can have your fun, but if a pirate game made me avoid sinking other ships, surely that's a design flaw and someone else felt it too? And you said its built from ground The Combat- You are right, the animation are all copied and pasted from AC3, but why I said it's worse, because of the enemies. There are 4 different reaction from enemies, one take 4-5 slashes straight unless interrupted and killed in a execution animation, one will deflect all melee attacks unless you break his defence, and then 4 slashes or 1 slash kill if you are behind them which is the best option to kill one enemy quickly, one will counter your attack as well as deflect, and you can't counter him only dodge him, and he keeps throw grenades at you, and one elite enemy only be hurt from counter, and deflect all attacks and break defence won't work on him, and he will shoot you from far. Pretty complex, but if you are surrounded with all of them, which will happen sometimes in the game, you will understand why things are worse here, and especially bad on enemy ships, because your crew interrupts you too. and there are no lock on feature this time, so you will attack one enemy once and start attacking others. Sure you can shoot people to make the combat easier, you can quad wield guns, it's cool at the start, but you can soon realise, guns are loud, it draws all nearby enemies to you, and you can't reload them without running around like a chicken cos you will get hit and cancel your reload, and you can't reload after fire just one gun, you have to waste all other shots, so you can reload the gun one by one till you get all four. People say combat isn't the strength of this franchise, and I do agree, but this one just took me right out of the game, it wasn't a great experience for me. The Stealth- With broken AI, this one isn't much of joy for me either. Enemies detects you way to quick for you to notice them, and sometimes I can't even see him only I look carefully I saw a little head from a rooftop far away with most of his body covered by other terrain. how am I suppose to do things stealthy when I can't see all my enemies properly and they see me clearly. Sure there are now a tagging mechanic in the game, but I can't even see them clearly or I m too far away to tag them but they sees me just fine, jeez they clearly went to specsavers(UK optical company). And when I went from bush to bush, of course I got again noticed why? Because there are way to many enemies all over the place, that's the thing, they all notice you too quick and have better vision than you. And during a engaged battle, you can't hide from their eye sight and get in a cover easily, so it's like hot pursuit, or GTA5 police as a bunch of guards chase you all over the place. It almost seems the all problems with stealth caused by broken AI, which I do hope they patch it in the future, but are the AI in AC3 fixed now? I seriously doubt that. There are no ranged silent weapon unlike AC3, the bow was pretty fun. You now have a blow pipe, with sleep darts and berserk darts, but if you are in stealth, and the effect of darts wears off, you will immediately goes into alerted(yellow) mode when you are in a bush, maybe it was a bug, but it certainly happened to me more than once. And for the longest time, I didn't even know the berserk darts kills people after duration, so I use them a lot later in game if AI weren't so broken at that moment. But you can't replenish them effectively without the shop or to loot tribes men which only appears in 2 islands or chase and tackle the courier only happens in city, cos most enemies don't have darts on them, you can craft these darts with animal bones, but you can only craft out of mission, and only one at a time and there is a "fill all" button in the shop menu, but not in here which was just strange to me. oh less weapons and gadgets means less way to approach enemies both in or out of combat. In an open world game, it's not about use axes or swords or lance, it's not about making them look different but performs exactly the same only in different skin, it's about making each and every type of weapon unique with its own benefit, so you can choose freely. To me, the game felt like a pirate themed AC3 stand alone expansion. Why AC2 was great? Because it improved almost every aspect in AC1. And can I just mention this is the 6th(or 7th if you count the liberation on PS vita) game in this franchise, and AC4 is the first game that never changed anything single player wise, they had to go with a different character and story because they had no choice, but everything else is copied and pasted over without any polish and some felt just don't fit well within like a clock with unmatched parts.
***** Alright since I commented to you on the other videos, Ill start of saying that Im not trying to be a douche to you, okay:) Im just REALLY tired of people saying complaints like that and not giving any reasons(And I know I dont have the right to do that but it just pisses me off), either way its also my opinion that everything upgraded(except AI and combat) to some degree the ships do feel weaker cause they dont make my screen vibrate half the time but I still, as I said feel like Poseidon's second coming when fully upgraded. One thing I do want to say though is that AC3-AC4 feels like AC1-AC2, it upgraded all the things I liked about the last one and added a bunch of new stuff I liked. AC4 fixed my problems with free-aiming, ship-handling, crafting, stealth, not having a 6 hour tutorial and having much better characters than AC3. And my BIGGEST problem with AC3 was the fact that the AI can see you no matter what so dumbing down the AIs detection skills made me happy. And in terms of equipment, I never used the sword, trip mines, bait ,snare, or well my assassins, cause frankly there is no point(I thought AC3 was good though). And the crafting system kinda sucked cause of how annoying it was sometimes, especially cause I needed to do some missions before I craft stuff, Also you can use throwing knives in AC4. I respect your opinion its just the way you went about it ticked me off. So Im sorry if I was disrespectful to you. I do hope you reply or my conscience will kill me.
What's with AC 2 being the best?I started with AC 2 some months ago,currently at Liberation and the games keep getting BETTER not worse...AC2 has a nonsensical story with new characters introduced every sequence (and killed really quickly),the parcour is completely frustrating,getting 100% synchronization is hell on (gaming) earth,let alone the outdated graphics.I am guessing you guys played at launch at an earlier age but storywise, gameplay wise and graphically later games are superior.Even Liberation has a better story than 2....
I wonder why this doesn't look next gen when this all was shot on current gen consoles? Its not even out on the PC yet, let alone the unreleased next gen consoles.
Assassins Creed is alot like Lost, at first the story was gripping and engaging, but ultimately a major disappointment. The first AC is still the best by far.
how does this compare to Ac3? i beat it but realized after first couple hours of cool mechanics like parkour and combat it just didnt seem enjoyable, both the plot and the exploration of vast plains and forests and i didnt even realize until after the game was beaten those were recruited assassins (like the french guy was a butcher?)
Ac4 is wayyy better!! I completely recommend getting it. Is so enjoyable and I've put around 70 hours into it and I'm not about to stop! It's my favorite assassins creed of all time (ac2 as a close second) you will not regret it if you buy this game
Ryan Collins thx 4 responding...but i actually started a new game for AC 2 and spent a few hours before deciding this franchise is not for me. majority of comments i see say AC2 was the best. if i personally dun rly see the big deal (i thought brotherhood was better), this isn't for me. especially since they're releasing two different AC games for current and previous generations.

Ryan Collins well..to put it simple, other than the rare sports game, definitely needs violence lol. i play on PC and PS3 (and i do have a 360): shooters/adventure, rpgs, strategy. From ubisoft alone, ive experienced their major titles throughout the years like AC, rainbow six, ghost recon, but ive definitely enjoyed Far Cry 3 recently
Well if you enjoyed far cry 3 far cry 4 seems likes it's going to be a great addition to the far cry series. If your PC can handle it when it comes out, the witcher 3 seems very promising. In case you aren't familiar with the witcher series it's an open world rpg. The witcher 3 map is supposed to be 20% bigger than skyrim and 35x bigger than witcher 2. If you're into fps destiny is coming out on September 9th and cod advanced warfare is coming out soon. You probably knew all these games but I couldn't really think of any while writing this comment sorry 😂😂😂
AC IV as an AC game has a 7/10, as pirate game a 9/10. The assassin part was pretty lame, being a pirate was great yes but this is "Assassins Creed" not "Pirates of the Caribbean". Hopefully "AC Unity" will have a lot more of Assassin.
Linda Rún Brothers: a tale of two sons deserved a 10/10 because of the beautiful environments, unique style of story telling and excellent characters. That is a game that isn't overrated.
I enjoyed 4 much more personally but Rogue is 90% the same as Rogue in terms of game play mechanics. The rest is just a story and setting change so it feels more like an expansion of AC4. Pick up 4 first and if you're still hungry for some AC4 afterwards then Rogue is a good option afterwards.
I would say that this game would be perfect but the only thing I didn't like was the over abundance of tailing missions which were boring and frusterating and some of the glitches. but take that away and everything is fantastic (a butt-load better than COD ghosts which was crap.
Hate to tell ya zblack but the graphics r not going to be great enough to effect the score. IMO that score is high to begin with.. decent game and all (still not a true AC game) but your experience playing on current Gen or next Gen isn't going to be a major difference unfortunately.
To me, ubisoft has now lost their plot when it comes to AC series. The "REAL" game was the first 2 games of the series (I mean Altair and (all)Ezio series ) . And then begun the era of endless boring sh*t. Where everyone ACTUALLY loves Altair and Ezio, but are bound play some sh*t games which no one really cares about >:( . #Remake_AC_Iand_II_series
Actually, I think they should do the opposite. I mean, Altair and Ezio's stories are nice and complete. Instead, introduce a new character, and write him well. Make a trilogy out of him! In my eyes, Connor, Edward and Arno aren't the greatest realized characters. We need someone like Ezio, not in terms of 'character', but someone as well done as him.
Back then nobody liked ezio, people were actually sick of him by brotherhood, don't believe me? Check any forums from 2010-2011... People were sick of it.

Fun game but it seems they will never take this series back to its roots as to many ppl didnt like the orignal AC and they r obvisously trying to go with what they know will sell... a shame really cause if they actually trusted their fan base they wouldnt be going for this gimick bullshit to sell games and stick to what AC fans really want not the general public who never played previous inatallments
TRADED IN AC UNITY FOR THIS- AC4 BLACK FLAG& AC UNITY..SADLY TO SAY A STEP BACKWARD IS A STEP UP IN MY CASE..2 ASSASSINS IN ONE GAME SUCKS COMPARED TO 2 ASSASSINS IN 2 DIFFERENT GAMES. LOL
chill out guys, i think most of the people is now more into the mood of " lets judge what is the best game" than having fun with any title which is what its all about, i can agree that ac2, ac brotherhood and revelations were tooo great to make a crappy story in ac3, however...look at the graphics, the missions even if are the same..as the other games, still,... hours of having fun, and not being too much worried comparing with the other games before, if you think about it if they change too much is gonna be worst cause then you will be saying " its not AC anymore...bla bla.." so relax, buy it, and enjoy it,

This game is most definitely NOT the best in the series. And it's all because of that damned boat. It's a bore and they shove it down your throat WAY TOO MUCH. But for what it's worth the Freedom Cry DLC which is now also a standalone game is way better and it has a total of 3 naval missions. Not to mention that the main character (Adewale) is actually an assassin and more likable than any of the Kenways.
I guess I'll have to accept the fact that I must be in the minority, I'm like three hours into this game and really not intrigued to continue. Sailing takes too long, wayyyyy to much information cluttering the screen, controls don't feel any tighter than before (in fact it seems less responsive) and the menu toggling and submenus are a nightmare to navigate.
I hope this is nothing like AC3, I quit the series after that game, simply because of how AWFUL it was, (I couldn't even beat it, the main character was just so f**king bland, there was nothing keeping me interested.) This game indeed looks amazing, so before I buy unity I'm definitely picking this up, still I'm a big iffy about returning too the series...
***** What, in AC3 or AC4? In 3, I can understand why people didn't like the story, because Connor (though perfectly believable as a character in that time and place) was indeed "bland" compared to Ezio. But in 4, the protagonist isn't bland at all and the story keeps with the overall plot quite nicely (it being about these magical artifacts the Assassins and Templars are fighting over).
