@@mrinferno3594 I actually really love Odyssey I just thought it was funny when he asked when he would start doing Assassin stuff because everyone who plays this wonders that until they realize they won't be
Ya Boi, Dutch This fanbase is getting pretty fickle. They said after Syndicate “I’m so tired of the same formula they need to change it.” *proceeds to change it* “this isn’t assassins creed anymore”
thats the best part about it, i literally played it all the way through cuz it is not like an AC but still kinda retarded. And it is a first for me in AC games
@@AragonBattleBorn if you played as either Alexios and Kassandra, you would pick up on massive differences in both characters despite the same dialogue, because of the voice actors. It is a long game if you don't mind grinding so those that have completed it will be aware of the differences in delivery of the dialogues. Unlike Valhalla, you can't just switch roles whenever you like, so you're wrong there, you have to start a New Game or activate NG + for that. Also, the franchise does not need another Ezio, or another like him, there is only one.
This game is amazing visual-wise. I remember when I first arrived in Mykonos I spent like a good 20 minutes walking around the city, doing some proper sightseeing. Also, the photo-mode is a blessing. It should be a standard feature in every game nowadays.
@@roblox_is_cringe351 no, absolutely. I was only praising what I think is good about the game. Gameplay is stiff, but not without its highs, while the story is simply… err, I don’t know, it’s a bit of a mess. A wasted opportunity? It could have been so much better (just like every other ac game since Unity, and including Unity, which is probably the best we have had since Ezio…)
People hate it cause its not an AC. But they dont hate Black Flag, though its not an AC too. So it seems not-AC games are more liked. Besides Odyssey is one of the good games in the series. Its one of the few that makes you wanna discover, learn about the map, go to the other side of the map, find all question marks. Cause everytime you go somewhere, theres something new. Thers always something surprising. Only Ezio Trilogy, 3 and Odyssey have this; in my opinion of course.
entire game is using far cry primal bird flying thing, batman combat, shadow of war special moves, shadow of war nemesis system, tom clancies wildlands bosses+ quest system, Skyrim/fallouts radient quests.. honestly has stolen everything from everything, it looks like most games hahaha
This game looks like great fun as a stand-alone but how on earth can they call this an assassins creed. If it was a standalone different titled game I would get it but they are using their assassins creed brand to branch out and create new games entirely
@@CPtracker080 from what i can tell theres nothing connecting it to the ac story besides the "present day" storyline. General motifs shown throughout most of the series isnt here in anyways either (which is partly why we can consider AC4 as an AC game but not odyssey)
Baconchops09 in an ask a spartan vid someone asked why its called assassins creed when there arent assassins, and he replied with something like “why isnt hipparchus made of hippopotomases? This game is setting up what i assume to be the templars
The fact that the voice actors are Greek makes it more hilarious. The Greek pronouncing of English is very silly and funny. Then again, it could be because I had an English teacher who not only didn't know to speak English, but she was also unable to say the words with the right toning.
@@chefofthetrash You responded in Greek via the usage of Latin characters therefore I thought you were Greek. That is why I sent the response in Greek.
I started to enjoy the games a bit more after I stopped thinking of them as Assasins creed games and just as RPGs with historical themes and stealth. I've even just mentally started removing AC from the title. "You play that new viking rpg? You mean Valhalla? Yeah that's the one."
We already went to Rome. I say we should to Mesopotamia, the start of human civilization. Something like that would work very well for the Precursor/human plotline.
Honestly at this point they are just exploiting the good name of the franchise. It doesnt look bad as game, but this is nothing like the good old assassin's creed games, where you actually played as a fucking assassin
well , i mean, i don't know the story , isn't this still far from her doing assassins things? she look like she is just trying to stay alive and go on , like ezio at the start of the game.
Assasins creed isnt just about being an assassin, the main focus is first civ shit and since assassins and templars are not made yet, discovering more about the first civ is still a part of the series
Bro... When he went to the pick up the wolf from the bush, but instead picked up some random hidden dead woman I straight up choked on my Doritos. Fucking Gold lol
I like the new combat but I wish it took a realistic amount of hits to kill someone instead of 50 hits with a 15 pound axe to take down a small greek man
i honestly started loving the game when i stoped being resistent about it, it shows a diferent way to the saga, its more like an RPG, just like origins, i really love everything about it, the only thing i cant say i love is the parkour, wich was explained later that is made to be rock climbing, not parkour, even bc parkour didnt even existed in this moment, so anyways, i really really love this game. My opinion.
I’ve beaten this game 74 times I know no one’s believes me but it’s nostalgia hearing this music because the game broke recently so now I’m sad cause that was 4years of my life.
When Zanny said, "That's a no no." at Caszandra's sister when she asked if Zeus would bless her with an eagle, I thought he was referring to the Greek myths. How Zeus, eagles, and young girls/women were a very, very bad combination. Especially for the girl/woman.
Recently bought this and I felt this is similar to The Witcher 3 in its core gameplay haha. Except that TW3 side quests are actually entertaining and not chore bore grind missions.
I kinda loved this game. I went around killing indiscriminately, even throwing myself at mercenaries who were 30+ levels higher to the point one shot would kill me. It was an amazing experience.
@@arijusjuzokas1666 what’s not true? This is my own personal opinion. I’m not saying that “the game is good” I’m saying “I had a good time with this game.” 🙃
I was indifferent at first but once you get your build together with the cool equipment and abilities and just go rampaging around wiping out fortresses it's amazing
im 4 years late but ive seen zanny before, one of my favorite content creators and finnaly someone that doenst care about the abstergo stuff like me, i just wanna play the game and live in ancient greece
Started playing his game like last week, stopped playing. But I did figure out early you can bind both parry buttons to one to make it just one button parry
Okay. Someone having an opinion makes them an asshole and a virgin. Lovely times for society. I'll say my piece. I don't see these new games as Assassin's Creed games. Half the time you're not even an Assassin, but for the sake of making sure their game isn't a clean cash-grab they add into the story "hey uhhh... Templars formed cause of this k bye" I won't deny the games are good, but I don't see them as *Assassin's Creed* games. And before the person seeing this decides to pull a "ok boomer" on me, just think about how vastly different the games are now. This can be seen as a good or bad thing depending on what Ubisoft does. But overall, I just don't really think Odyssey is an AC game but just a well made action game set in Ancient Greece with some ACTUALLY lore-important Info being sprinkled in.
