Giuseppe story is sad, he got into an argument with a mobster that mobster then subsequently framed him for murder. He was thrown in jail for 21 years but escaped he then lived his life as a fugitive. He hid in the Aspromonte, south of calabria. The Aspromonte is a very difficult place to be found, thick woods and tall mountains.
