I think the DLC is phenomenal but honestly my favorite part is bayeks outfit. Once I got that outfit i never took it off for the rest of the playthrough and wore it for the entirety of the curse of the pharoahs. Maybe we will get that sequel one day....
I personally found this dlc really basic and the map was basically the same. Not sure what was interesting in this dlc except some outfits and the ending, specifically because of the ac2 music that plays in background in the ending of hidden ones, it really enhances it.
@@Wpeoplee It adds a lot to the lore Its shows bayek as a mentor, discovering a pair of poisoned daggers (later to become classic assasin tools) Plus he creates the first rule of the assassins "stay your blade from the innocent"
From a production standpoint, Origins' DLC was arguably peak Ubisoft and set the standard for AC going forward. Can only hope Red and Hexe continue the trend.
@@Wpeoplee yes really, it changed the franchise and kinda gave you a peak into the future at what's to come next (while being a good game itself,) the next two games not doing well is ubisofts fault, they could of worked on odyssey more and then made Valhalla more assassins based due to odyssey being before the assassins and such.
@@LordReskiy The next two games not being well? Well if we are talking about sales than both of them sold better than Origins, about the game quality itself, I love to debate with bandwagon chasers who base their opinion according to what the masses believe and debunk their argument, I'll say the objective truth, odyssey is superior to origins in every way except in terms of story and character personality. For some people story alone can be the point to call it a better game and I think that's understandable.
7:51 ahahhaha I remember this so well from when I played this dlc. It exactly describes why I love Bayek so much and with that the whole game including DLC’s. These kind of nonchalant and sober jokes is what makes this guy so charming. Such a great protagonist ❤️🔥
Finally a full video talking about this masterpiece of a DLC. The Hidden Ones´ has this kind of feeling of perfect mix between classic AC and RPG Assassin´s Creed. Every time i replay this game i can´t wait to replay this DLC because you feel and see the construction of the Brotherhood, its theorical reconsiderations and practical applications. Bayek obviously helps aswell. What a main character. Seeing him as a mentor, recruiting new members, talking with fellow Hidden Ones has the same vibe as Ezio in Revelations. And that´s some high up standard. I kinda wished they added some mechanics, like social stealth and a more important role of the Brotherhood itself, but i still consider it peak Assassin´s Creed. Yeah, just like that, PEAK.
I've played both dlcs for origins and bayek has to be one of my favourite characters. The voice acting, passion and emotion is all evident throughout the games.
Origins, AC Rogue and AC1 have to be the only three AC games I haven't played. I wanted to mention AC 3, but I just bought the Odyssey season pass, and I will play it soon.
It’s not a story moving things forward but there is an Origins prequel novel called Desert Oath that shows the origins of Bayek as a medjay and the early development of his relationship with Aya.
Origins is my favorite AC game outside of the Ezio trilogy. I wasn't too fond of his master assassin outfit though. I wished that the Maasai Leader (white with blue eagle) outfit was his master outfit with a red eagle and red sach instead of blue. That outfit was one of the best-looking outfits in the game along with the Persian leader outfit. Only thing I didn't like on the Persian leader was the bronze armor, I with that armor was silver or the darker iron color like on the Persian Prince.
Origins had a great new-gen foundation for the Series and the Hidden Ones DLC was so great as an addition to the great game itself. Odyssey completely went overboiard with everything that made AC into what it is and scratched also the good points Origins set out. Valhalla somewhat made a step towards redemption but still is far from that, hope now lies upon Mirage and games to come like Code Red. As for the other DLC it isn't as nearly as good as the Base Game or the Hidden Ones DLC, it's okay tho for what it is. Still for me Origins especially with the Hidden Ones DLC is the best AC Game yet i'd say.
hello there.i love assasins creed franschise in general.until now i have played odyssey,syndicate,3 remastered.liberation.now i started origins and i find it really amazing.i was just thinking of buying dlcs for it and i got the following question..how many dlcs are there for assasins creed origins? the hidden ones and the cruse of pharaos? after hidden ones you can reach lvl 45 and after curse of pharaos 55? anyone who knows for sure pls tell me.thank you in advance
I played The Hidden Ones approximately a year after finishing the main game (it was for 4€ on microsoft store 🤣) and then approx a month later The Curse of Pharaohs was on discoun too... So I played them both consecutively and The Hidden ones was definitely better. I real shid cried when Tahira passed and when Bayek had to yet again say goodbye to Aya. THe curse of pharaohs was too much and was not making much sense to me either. it felt like an acid trip and for a dlc it was waaaay too long.. heck no wonder it originally cost like 20€ 🤣
I really loved this DLC, and I agree that Bayek’s new outfit looks sick. I would say this is my favorite DLC out of both Origins and the-game-we-don’t-talk-about 😅 Also, thanks for noting the similarities between Amunet’s statue design and her outfit design. Never noticed that before…
Yeah that was one of the best dlcs I played I played the base game completed it then came back 9 months later and re completed it and started the the curse dlc was like an entire new game to play
@@leacher1997 The curse is my favorite DLC ever. It was massive in itself and my god, going to the different planes of the afterlife - incredible. Each one is so damn amazing and interesting.
I just really can't understand why they needed to rush to Odyssey after Origins... you could have evolved Aya's and Bayek's stories and personalities so much!! And the historical time and location is just so damm interesting.... Ubisoft can't seem to be able to spot gold when it's in front of them..
@@trenaceandblackmetal5621Not at the same time. Origins started development 2013 almsot a year before Unity was released. Odyssey started development after Syndicate in 2015.
to be fair, AC Origins Gold Edition is a long ass game. If you continue to play Origins after Origins, then it wouldn't be very great, even though Origins is golden
I always thought that this dlc was SUPER underrated and swept under the rug even though it did bring a traditional Assassin's Creed plot with a good built up villain comparable to Cesare Borgia, same with the Curse of the Pharaohs which I feel brought a more revelations kind of plot, and left on a cliff hanger with Sutekh dying and the apple gone. Bayek in a sense did get 2 sequels where we see great character development new worlds and well-written stories but he deserves at least one AAA game sequel, I hope Ubisoft doesn't abandon him as he has great potential greater than Edward or Ezio imo.
Mirage sucks... Cash grab flop. It was dlc turned into a main game and it shows. It's 12 hrs... Stay with origins and curse of pharoahs and hidden ones dlc...ITS THE G.O.A.T! Mirage is trash bro. New doesn't mean better.
I'm actually playing origins and enjoying it quite a lot I have got nearly 100% completion and I just need the 100 trinkets trophy and then I have got the platinum
I'm 50 hrs in origins and only halfway through main story... love this game... and just purchased hidden ones and curse of pharoahs dlc. Got origins for $8 pharoahs dlc $8 and hidden dlc $4 that's $20 for game and both dlc's! What a deal! Enjoying this just as much as ghost of tsushima-serious
Origins was my first assassins creed game I knew about the series but thought it looked boring boy was I wrong playing this game felt great the story telling was beautiful i did go back and play some of the older games
I didn't play this game despite being a fan of AC for so long because I saw VideogameDunkey bash it in his review, but one day I decided I'll give it a chance and HOLY SHIT it turns out it's absolutely amazing, a phenomenal masterpiece... I wonder how many people didn't play it for the same reason, or how many games get skipped because of garbage reviews like that... makes you think.
For me this DLC was just the same boring, unengaging story as the main game in a microcosm. Just another list of faceless bad guys to kill, without any real personal connection or motivation.
I love AC Origins but I think AC Odyssey is better n more beautiful n that the combat dynamics are better in odyssey cuz it’s more fun to fight n the fighting is smoother n the attack combos are better and there is more and better abilities to create fun combos with to fight enemies in odyssey while in origins it kinda feels stiff n slow
I think that AC Valhalla also made a heartfel and bittersweet reference to Bayek; as when you collect all codex pages, Hytham directs you to Reda, who has a very old letter in his possession. When you read it, it's a letter from Bayek, narrated by Abubakar Salim himself, wherein he he speaks to Aya in a very sweet way. In the letter he says that despite him being in the twilight of his life, he still thinks often of her (He also talks about how the Hidden Ones have started to create a codex, and, him trying to prevent another thing like in Sinai to happen, tells Amunet to go and destroy the pages, or at least tells her to stop them from making more. It does add a little into why Bayek was "forgotten", as he decided to stay anonymous on purpose (He doesn't even mention either his or Aya's name in his letter). Fun fact: the reason why, unlike Bayek, Amunet was remembered more strongly, is because her Assassination of Caesar became a very public thing very quickly, therefore making it so it became common knowledge to many that she was involved. It's only after it that she was like "Yeah, maybe being more discreet is the way to go". (This was all covered in a comic series about what happened when she left for Rome at the end of the game.)
I have just bought assassin's Creed origins and the season pass on sale when every single one was on sale on Xbox and almost ever other game to my favorite assassin's Creed game is AC black flag but my second favorite is AC origins it's just such a great game man I don't care what people say I personally enjoy the newer RPG games so
After this DLC, instead of Odyssey and Valhalla, I wish I could have gotten a Bayek sequel or a game focusing on the expansion of the Hidden Ones until their eventual evolution into the Assassins Brotherhood. While I don't think they're bad games in general, they felt out of place in the franchise, especially with their heavier emphasis on the RPG mechanics where some of them don't work here. Even worse for Valhalla when the Hidden Ones became side content. At least there's Mirage. Better late than never, I guess.
When I played Origins in NG+ a few months ago, I played this after Curse of the Pharaoh exactly because it gives much more closure. It feels like a more natural progression. And well, maybe with infinity we will one day get our sequel in Rome. One can dream
when I bought Origins all of the DLC were already out so I bought them all at once Origins was my favourite game and Origins was really easy for me especially for someone who plays Dark Souls a lot but I maxed out all Assassin's Creed games by byeing every single thing I can for every single one of them
I have the DLC. But how am I gonna play when I'm 3 levels below. And I have to do stupid boring side quests just to level up every time I need to progress the main story. The level difference system in this game is so frustrating.
I disagree. I bought the hidden ones dlc and I wish I'd bought curse of the pharaohs instead. I must have been high or something. Idk when I even bought that dlc. I'm extremely unimpressed with the landscape and how little of it you actually get to explore. I thought there would be more to it, but so far no. Idk how long it is, but so far, meh... The sheer number of woman assassins is annoying. Damn near every side character thay gives bayek a quest is a woman, which is not only unrealistic in THIS century, but would've been unrealistic 2,000 years ago as well. You know, cuz I've never met or seen a woman willing to put her life on the line for anybody but herself. Aya is a good example. Abandoned her son, Khemu and then abandons her HUSBAND whom you're supposed to be with "till death do you part". There's no fucking point in getting married if you're gonna end it 7 years later cuz "just not feeling it". "Just not feeling it" is THE exact thing you're supposed to give up when you take your vows. It's the whole goddamn point of those vows and the concept of marriage. This game is awful. Landscape and Bayek and Khemu are the only good parts.
They say AC fans hates the new games for no reason like bro, have you play Origins? That's Assassin's Creed AF! and heck! Bayek cannot teleport just like Kassandra, Eivor (in DLC) and Basim/Loki. We can tell when developers actually genuinely cares about the Assassin's Creed or not. We weren't the one that come up with that idea of Eivor both male & female back in the days 😂 that sounds very like someone who misunderstood what AC is in the first place.
I really don't understand why Valhalla "feels" more like Odyssey than Origins... It supposed to be the same development team, why did they change a lot of stuff????
Why do you keep saying that the group is called “The Assassin’s Creed”? It’s called “The Assassin Brotherhood”. You sure you’re even a hardcore fan? You sound like an uber casual.
Wasn't Origins also supposed to get a crossover dlc like Odyssey and Valhalla? I distinctly remember seeing Kassandra putting a scroll in the Library of Alexandria.
I still can't believe Ubisoft managed to fuck up and not make a sequel to origins they finally found one character that comes close to Ezio's character quality and they just moved on the real Assassin deserving of a sequel was never Connor or Edward it was always Bayek
I really wanna play the origins and odyssey DLC but my save files are on am old ps4 I sold when I was drunk. Can't bear the thought of another 100 and whatever hours just to play the dlc haha
I absolutely adored origins when it came out,but nowadays i find myself being incredibly bored by the gameplay loop after a couple of hours whenever i go back, which is a shame because i really liked bayek and his story
People want a Bayek sequel, but does the time period allow for it? What happens at this time in the Mediterranean that would allow for a Hidden One to operate? Honestly the most deserving of a sequel imo is Evie in India during the British rule of India.
Man this dlc is so goated the best one after dead kings in my opinion Can you make a video about the ac chronicles games? Luv ur videos I have watched all of them
@@zicuvalentin2251 idk let’s see what it looks like I’m pretty excited about AC Mirage n the gameplay videos look good n all the other videos I’ve seen look great so im excited to finally play AC Mirage.
