And if you tried to get to the high ground, you have to cross a burning bridge and you burst into flames. :D I wonder if that was intentional Star Wars reference.
@@colonelfrogs I just finished playing Odyssey for the first time day before yesterday, and compared to origins, it's below average at best. The story is shit, the facial animations are shit, the voice acting is below average at best, the combat is good but the enemies are damage sponges, the enemy AI is average at best, and don't even get me started on character development/arcs. The main character is boring as hell, and was written with no passion at all. The mercenary system is a good addition though. Also, know that there's nothing related to Assassin's or Templars, just Isu. No hidden blade either.
The fact she said rest in peace the way ezio did surprised me a lot. I know this was 4 years ago but I just beat this game today and tbh I love AC Origins it's defs in my top 3 rn.
Did yall notice in one of the dialogues with aya(amunet) she says bayek should come to rome, and he replies with something like "perhaps i will" . Is this a hint at a sequel in rome?
Actually you shouldn't compare Origins DLCs with Blood and Wine. This one is just a DLC and Blood and Wine is almost a standalone Expansion. It even had a box release (with gwent cards). Of course that it will be smaller and less revolutionary than BnW.
I enjoyed it, but I didn't feel as if it provided enough side content, I'm a collector and did everything in 5 - 7 hours, where as the main game took 100 hours, I understand it's a dlc but with the standard the main game held I thought it would be a lot longer. Other than that it was absolute gold, by far the best dlc for AC and for the open world genre of games Ashraf has created something truly amazing
Jaskaran Notta The mail gamę too me 62 hours to 100% it (Platinum trophy) and the DLC took me like 7.30 hours. I think it was worth it for less then 10$
I totally agree, the game mechanics on AC Syndicate had me on the brink of giving up on AC completely but Origins totally brought me back and the DLCs are not a let down either!
I thought it was decent. What I find funny is learning the price for this expansion. The Nightmare pack is £12 and THO dlc is £10. So is Ubisoft saying they put more effort into the nightmare pack a posed to this expansion?
yeah it gives u like 9 really cool outfits, 2 cool mounts, 3 hour story, 4 regions, side quests for only 10 bucks. But a mount and a outfit is 15 bucks?
For it's price it was good dlc but in my opinion the writing in the main story wasn't that good, just not very interesting and should have had more focus. I missed the reason why the Romans were demolishing the pyramid and other egyptian monuments. Bad guy's goals weren't explained or I hugely missed something. I feel like there were too many assassination targets considering how short the story was. Maybe have less targets but focus more on them writing-wise. Amunet was the only thing that caught my interest in the story but she only has a small part in it. Didn't really bother with side missions since those were pretty boring in the main game as well. Only did a couple. Real shame the side missions don't interest me because after completing the main mission I feel I'm done with the dlc and I haven't even explored the southern part of the map yet. And there were few bugs which forced me to reload the game because I couldn't continue otherwise. (Some elevator was missing in the pyramid) I wish they would continue with Bayek and Amunet in the future AC games though. I definitely want to see Amunet killing Cleopatra.
DIDUHAVELUNCH 2 ik, I liked the DLC. It's just ubisoft dumb marketing. You get tons of weapons, outfits and mounts plus added level cap. And they put a a simple costume pack for The same price lol
DIDUHAVELUNCH 2 its one of those things where u wish they made it more expensive in contrast to the gear packs but you're also happy they didn't and u got a good dlc for $10
Because the expansion is a must pay, yet the dlc packs will be in the hecka chest for in-game currency later. So overall, it's a fair play as I see it. Although pricing them at least 5$ would be better and would make them more tempting to buy.
Spoiler warning: While I did like the DLC, the final part of the game, which is defeating the rebel leader, Gamilat was so tedious. You have to avoid his attacks, so you don’t fall off the plattform. After you fall down into the water, you have to avoid arrows while you go to the other side to shoot arrows at him. Then after you reduced his health at 50%, he’ll will attack you with his sword, that is on fire. The only thing that is enjoyable with this fight is the ”It’s over, Bayek! I have the high ground!” line.
I would lova a random mission generator. It doesn't have to give legendary weapons as rewards. But some dragma's and xp could do. I can't get enough of this game. Give me more!!😆
This has nothing to do with the hidden ones dlc but i have been grinding for resources for like a week then updated to 1.20. I spent 200,000 coins on hekka chests hoping for some new micro trans gear. BOY I got a shit load of weapons from the first civ, gladiator, almighty and the pharaoh armor, mummy and scarab outfit. No new mounts or outfits tho :(
I died so many times in the quest of rescuing Tahira and also the one assassinating Rufio, very challenging. The story is kinda weird tbh but glad we killed Gamilet in the end he's a fucking lazy ass lol asked us to lift him up in a quest earlier lmao. Haven't done the side quest but so far it is very good. Overall that was 8/10, dissapointed not be able too fuck Cleopatra in this dlc
I'll be honest, as someone who recently played Origins about a month ago at this time, the Hidden Ones DLC was disappointingly short. Sure, I wasn't expecting it to be as lengthy as the main game, but I was still hoping to get more meat on the bones regarding the story.
I was the guy who massacred the entire fort looking for the target. Enjoyed the DLC, the Shadows of The Scarab quest was awesome! The reveal was predictable but it didn't matter cause the way it tied up was great. The main quest was also really good I just feel like there could have been more scenes with Rufio.
What if Altaïr, during his time away from Masayaf with the Apple, speaks to Bayek through the Piece of Eden itself or by some other means during his travels.
Great review pal, some of the top games reviewers on youtube branded Bayek a boring character with not much about him and having a terribly boring back story, i couldn't disagree more with them. I loved the protagonist and the game, what a come back for Assassins Creed, now lets hope Ubisoft continue down the RPG path and continue to make it more on depth, just like an RPG should be 👍
Are they ever going to explain how the Order of the Ancients forms into the Templar Order? Are they even going to mention Hugh de Payens at all in the series?
They might if ever an AC game (or DLC) are set during the formation of the Templar Order. Which in real-life history was founded in 1119. For context, the AC Origins are set 40-30 BC. While AC1 are set around 1191-ish. The time of the third crusades.
Jack Porthouse i jumped from a wall and almost died, it was an error, but the good part was when i fell down, i fell over him ahhajaa it took me literally 3 minutes, only killed 1 men besides him xD
I watched this a 2nd time in 2021, and its funny hearing him say that bayek needs a sequel, and that the future for assassins creed is looking bright (*cough cough* Odyssey and Valhalla)
men i think that bayek is the creator of the medjay brotherhood which goes in assassins creed and its why arno said in unity that he wants to go to egypt its for investigate on bayek’s dead or something like that
I just finished it yesterday and teared up a bit at the end with the scene with them in the cave. It definitely looks like CotP DLC will be the headliner DLC with more content and a bigger map. With a level cap increase from 45 to 55 it's gotta be
I don't understand why you hate Jack the Ripper DLC so much... I personally found it to be one of the best AC DLCs, almost as good as Freedom Cry. I actually prefered Jack the Ripper to Syndicate's main (shitty) story.
In my opinion that dlc was the worst one made, it was a poor choice to use Evie when many wanted to play Jack for the entire dlc, the worst feature was the fear system for evie because it breaks the tenet hide in plain sight when you're causing fear, it's a crude joke to say it's as good as Freedom cry, like I said it's just my opinion
I don't remember Evie being able to use fear, I remember that as being an only Jack thing, but maybe Im wrong. It was 2 years ago after all. But I liked that we played as Evie because it made Jack seem more like a mysterious badass rather than just another Templar bad guy. And as far as Freedom Cry, honestly that didn't do much that Jack the Ripper didn't; they both added a few new mechanics and a different character, while still sticking to the original games fundamentals. And they both add a new story. I don't think it's a crude joke at all, I think it's completely plausible to say JTR was almost as good as FC. Just my opinion
Definitely a short but really sweet expansion, and only $10 which is a really damn good price. Ubisoft have done a great job with this game so far, besides the whole overpriced micro-transactions of course. Although the story is still no way near as good as ACII, i definitely consider Origins to now be my new favorite AC game.
Honestly just finished main game and enjoyed it but I don't really think 3 hours of main story content isn't worth buying the dlc. Might just watch a let's play or a story summary.
Lilttle Spoiler Waring in my Comment ! ------ Nice Review ... :) its same how i think about it... and for the price of 9.99€ you get really nice shit.. ok the releasee it self was a mess... i was sitting at launch there and nothing happend.. all ps4 players and all xbox players could played it. only pc players were not.... but after a day we could play it.. im through the mainquest after 5hours im slow as fuck... i was throug the main quest of the main game after 60hours. yes i love to chill around in this beatyfull world. so i havent even done these sidequest for the blades.. im only have the horse now. and there are not enough ruins and graves to discover vor my opinion... But i think that will happen in the next dlc, because of Theben and the Valley if Kings.... there are around 86 graves of Pharaos(and there people)that we have found now, But there hundrets more we havent found...then Theben it was the biggest city in upper Egypt, we have only discovered upper egypt so it could be a really big map, it will cost 20€ i hope it will be double of the playtime and the double of size of the map. But back to Hidden Ones... i loved the story . the chars are well developed and the dlc gives a nice way tho a sequel with bayek travelling to Amunet to Rome and they will free it... i think will will hear about something a few month after second dlc. thahts all speculations but a Rome sequel is more as possible, because in the end of the story of the dlc they said something, that the hidden ones will raise over.... and then say said two citys... i dont know exactly which one but i mean it was a greek and a roman city...a teaser for a DLC. And Ubisoft do it often that the announce a new game in there games... Sorry for so much text... loved the dlc, nice story. nice chars, nice map. nice new weapons and even the outfits are cool. now i look like a proto assassin . But other thing i was thinking about FInal Fantasy XV in March6 (there the second dlc release too) it will release on windows. I will play it and im wondering if you are doing videos about it ? do you play it ? or do you have it already played on ps4 if you have one ? :D sorry for offtopic
