Assassin's Creed Origins vs AC Odyssey vs AC Valhalla - Which Game is Best? Part - 2 

For me it's Odyssey. I like the mixture of humour and seriousness and the actual gameplay. Origins is a close second but, I would like to have seen Aya's character developed more than just a few scenes and Bayek could have been a bit less one dimensional. Valhalla I felt was to padded out by pointless side quests and some very Monty Python like characters. The main character Eivor as a male sounded more like my old maths teacher instead of some Viking warrior and having played it twice have no desire to put myself through it again! The other two I continue to play and still enjoy both.

One feature I absolutely loved about Odyssey was that you could set the game to give you clues about where the next objective was located, and you actually had to explore to find it.

I always had a soft spot for Origins because I love Egypt and Bayek’s design and character is just so awesome (I pretty much never put on an outfit in that game because of it)

Regardless which one better, I'd always admire the scenery of these games. They are beautiful to see such places we explore are well designed. The longer you're playing, the longer you felt like you were actually there

The one thing that I like in Odyssey is the a lot of the side quests (mostly the yellow exclamation point quests, not really message board ones) connect with each other and also connect to the main story. Some side quests also go on a quite long quest chain that actually develops some interesting characters.

Origins is the best of the three but i love the setting for Odyssey. Really makes me wanna go island hopping around Greece 🏝️

Actually, Valhalla grows to me little by little. I' ve played for about 30 hours but am able to play for 2-3 hours per day ,at most. Each region has a questline with interesting characters, quests (mysteries) are unique and interesting and hunting for chests are riddles on each own. I can understand how it can end a chore if you play non stop. But the way I (can) do it , in small incerements, is really fun to me. The world is breathtaking, strong RPG foundation and plenty of activities. Origins was amazing for its towns but the rest was empty desert. Odyssey is my favourite because of naval and conquest battles which are the best in gaming history integrated into a game. Really weird people overlook those. Makes you wonder if they really played Odyssey...

I prefer Origins, not just because of the setting in Egypt, also because it has the most true Assassins from Assassins Creed left. Odyssey and Vallhalla felt like heavily armed overkilled soldiers, while Bayek had a much more agile feeling. Also the story gets to the foundation of the Assassins Brotherhood, especially in the end and in the DLC "The hidden ones". Odyssey and Vallhalla hat nearly 0 to do with the Assassins brotherhood

All of the character animations in Origins are so good. The walk animation alone is super dope

Each game has its strengths and weaknesses. But I will say, I liked how NPCs fought back in Odyssey, shame it didn’t return in Valhalla.

I recently switched back to Origins after ending Valhalla, and honestly they dropped the bar after Origins, its a lot more fleshed out game and its actually fun playing, the Souls Like Combat feels good punchy and the environment is damn impressive

Eivor actually reacts to cold weather if u remove his clothing. He starts shivering and crossing his hands to feel warm

I just started a new save on Odyssey. Trying to go for 100% completion. I’m in the Phokis region and Im already level 25 from doing all the side stuff scaled to my level plus bounties. Also experimenting with different actions and builds more. Im enjoying more now that Im not just trying to burn through the story.

using stun arrows on civilians in odyssey then complaining that it doesn't kill them. 9:08

For the bow in ac odyssey you had stun arrows equipped no matter how many you fire they will not die

Ride's response time is technically same in all 3 games. It varies depending your surroundings.

I have played ac odyssey and origins and i didn't played vallhalla yet but as greek i prefer odyssey because its my country and i love to see how it was long time ago. And origins was very good game too

I feel like if they mixed origins and Valhalla I think it would be almost perfect.

One thing I liked about Valhalla was there were more finishers and the combat was more diverse but when it comes to everything else origins is better

I have a lot memories with Origin, Origin has changed so many things about gameplay of Assassin, love it, others also very great but i love Origin

Odyssey houses burn to fire arrows but weirdly only insides burn for torches for me at least

I bought Origins many years ago, played a little bit but the game never really sunk it’s teeth into me until recently. I began to get a feel of how to play the game and it became really enjoyable. I cannot say I would like Valhalla the same way. And especially not odyssey, I didn’t even buy that one

Origins was the best to me. Story and characters. It also was more connected to "assassins" than the others.

Currently playing valhalla. I actually like it. Origins has the best story/environment. Especially sone of the DLC. Odyssey had the best combat system/ ship combat among all 3. Yet valhalla feel cool especially if you like northern mythology and played god of war. I just ignore them as AC games. Last real AC game was unity, which I also enjoyed. As sl ats with Ubisoft. Wait for rehearse, never pre order. Wait another year or two for all dlc releases. Wait sone more time until all patched, wait a little longer for great discount. Go get the complete experience. 😅

I have origins and odyssey and they are both great games. I haven't played valhalla but all i seem to hear is bad things about it. I think origins has the best map, there is just something awesome about exploring ancient Egypt but i think odyssey has the best gameplay.

My order would be: 1. Origins (legendary) 2. Valhalla (wonderful) 3. Odyssey (nice to have)

I have 101 hours in Origins, 134 hours in Valhalla, and 635 hours in Odyssey and it's still going up. I did enjoy Origins more than Valhalla, but the hours in Odyssey speaks for itself, easily my favourite Assassin's Creed game.

These 3 games have something special, the Atmosphere is awesome and the technical aspect in both 3 is stunning, the music is great, everything in the world fits the tone, nothing feels out of place. Valhalla is the best on the graphic/art side and has the best side missions, odyssey is the most fun and engaging since you just don't stop doing things and the stealth is on point, and Origins has the best character/story and inmersive details that make just wandering around entertaining.

I have to say That Origins is My favorite AC of all and of those 3 its just really the best especially on the RPG side its not so strong in origins compared to Odyssey and Valhalla in Origins only weapons and the Shield Had Stats etc , Armor was Purely Cosmetic and you could upgrade 6 Different "Items" for RPG Really minimalistic even though its not even a Real " Role play Game" Odyssey and Valhalla was just to much for me with runes and engravings and skil set Bar like spartan kick etc which also had Tiers to skill and your set Bonus stuff sorry for the rant ^^

Bayek is easily my favorite assassin in the series. That ending when hes on the beach with Aya made me feel more than anything the other games ever did.

My favorite is AC Odyssey, solely because of the Adrasteia and the ship combat, cutting ships in half with the ram is INSANE

I made a sport out of getting the coolest pirate crew on my ship in Odyssey. I'd love to see a Nemesis-like system like they had in 'Middle-Earth - Shadow of Mordor' implemented in of the the next AC games.

odyssey is the best. greek mythology has always been my favorite growing up.

Odessey was by far the most fun out of the 3 for me. Flawed game but amazing overall if they could have built on it rather than going backwards with Valhalla

After a long time I want to get lost in an Assassin creed game again. In the meantime, the latest parts have received next gen patches. Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are still breathtakingly beautiful. But which of the 3 parts Origins (in ancient Egypt), Odyssey (ancient Greece) or Valhalla (Viking Theme) should i spend my rare time with? I played them all back then. Is the most new automatically the best? In My eyes all 3 games are very different and the most new is not the best by default here. I have a different opinion. Origins is the only game out of the 3 games that still feels like a classic Assassin game. Sneaking, assassinations, the close camera All the time, Animations are not too cartoony or arcade. It is still a serious game. No god like Power attacks etc etc. Storywise the best by far, no wonder, it tells the origin story of all assassins. There are still real cities, not just small settlements or dozens of Green isles. Yes, with origins u still get some Assassin CREED vibes and it is as beautiful and modern as the other ones. While Viking has nice finishers, combat seems arcade, less realistic. Raiding villages, burning down is great for roleplaying vikings, but this is not assassin creed anymore.. The world is beautiful, but extremely lifeless and boring. More of the same, all the time. Viking feeling yes, but ASSASSIN creed feeling doesn't come up here and doing always the same thing (raiding villages) gets boring quickly. Odyssey also has little real Assassin story or feel, lost in beautiful ancient Greece. Beautiful islands, lots of Islands... and a lot of forts to conquer. For my part, I think the atmosphere and gameplay in Origins is still the best and closest to the assassin storyline of former games. You can see the insane work on the country and the people in origins . The games released after origins, located in different time settings, moved further and further away from the AC spirit. These games are no assassin games anymore in my eyes but Nice Action rpgs nevertheless.

Most probably, Valhalla will improved more, But I think Odyssey is the most complete and fun so far.

Personally, Odyssey is better in lore and graphics. I know Odyssey is more about the formation of the warrior than about the assassin's, but it's the best introduction the Assassin's Ceed could get, so it's really good. 🤷‍♀️

Out of this trilogy i loved odyssey the most. But i think the coolest and most powerful character is Eivor (male)

You forgot a feature about Odyssey, which is he can still climb on those really steep rock, though there isn't a surface where he can grab on to.

I always hate these “which one is the BeSt” videos that pop up everywhere. The only answer is all of them are the best. Seriously. All these games are gold and are all very underrated. Especially Odyssey and Valhalla. They all have incredible characters (you’re using the wrong Valhalla one again. Eivor’s a woman) and brilliant storylines. Excellent worlds and gameplay.

Ubisoft gets a lot of flack and I understand to an extent but still, they release pretty damn good games consistently. Id rather have that than a great game every 15 years. "Cough rockstar games"

Origins is my favorite! Just played Origins this afternoon.Bayek of Siwa is also one of my favorite characters of all time! I’m currently on a fresh play through of Odyssey. Great game. I didn’t like the character of Eivor. Sorry, he wasn’t likeable to me.

Odyssey wins world design 1000% no doubt about it. Everything was always nice to just look at. I love Valhalla, but map design just isn’t it for me. Maybe it’s just that time period. I don’t know. But Odyssey will always be my fav. Played through it three times 😄

Tbh, Valhalla looked like a Dragon Age game rather than an Assassin's Creed game.

Origins has best story, Odyssey has best world and Valhalla has best gameplay and graphical fidelity.

For me the Origins is the best, I used to play Origin and every aspect is perfect for me, the mechanic gameplay, the parkour is smooth, the graphics are amazing, know I'm playing Valhalla feels like trash, the battle mechanic are bad even the parkour, the graphic way better Origin than Valhalla, lot of bug and weird movements if we spam the buttons for using combo.

imo the best atmosphere is origins and bayek has one of the most tragic stories not saying alexios/kassandra and eivor don't have a tragic experience, but i haven't played much of valhalla but i think that origins or valhalla tops. I do respect odyssey it just didn't interest me like the greek atmosphere just didn't hit like the vikings or egyptians

I dont consider Valhalla to be an AC game . So i would have to say Origins is a more original experience. But Odyssey is a more all round complete experience.

I am hoping in the future for an Aztech Assassin Creed, inspired from Mel Gibson's film "Apocalypto".

For me Odyssey had my favourite environment but worst gameplay by far. Would love a remake/similar game down the line with realistic combat instead of sword sponges, and shields in spartan combat!

I personally feel like Origins was the most elaborate out of these 3 so i really enjoyed playing it. In terms of building your own build i really enjoyed Odyssey + i really liked DLC´s and these ancient creatures. Valhalla was the biggest disappointment for me because this grind for supplies etc. felt way to similar so it became annoying and boring even tho i was really hyped for this one because of the time period i didnt even finish this one.

Oddessy was definitely the better game out of the three also gave black flag feels even tho black flag is till one the best assassin creeds to date

I love AC Valhalla overall. I can do whatever i want and i don't even sneak around at all. I full blaze enter a town and right away blow my horn to attract enemies to burn. I guess I've become so O.P. that i don't even bother for being an assassin in the shadows. I feel like more of an unstoppable God. It's soo ridiculous that it's satisfying to just plunder, chop down whole armies and burn down the entire towns or kingdoms all by myself. For glory 💪

you can kill NPC's with arrows in Odyssey, you used the wrong type of arrow. I did it all the time to spawn bounty hunters
