that's 100% more than likely what happened. But can you imagine an alternate story where he never gave up being an Assassins and would go out at night and beat up mofo templars with his cane?!
Achilles' Perspective: Achilles's story is great because his perspective is extremely realistic and relatable and logical. He feels so defeated and beaten down after not only losing his family but watching the genocide of the entire Assassin Order and watched them all be completely eradicated and wiped out by Shay and the rest of the Templars throughout the entire Colonies. He watched and witnessed as the Templars destroyed everything the Assassins had. It makes so much sense that he has lost his belief in the Assassins because he now sees it as an unwinnable fight. The Templars are so strong and powerful and have overwhelming numbers and resources that there is just no possible way to beat them. This perfectly explains why he is so pessimistic and against Connor becoming an Assassin. He discourages Connor from fighting against them and encourages him to just submit because it's logically the safer and more peaceful option. He now believes that it is better to just stop the constant fighting and killing, and just submit to the Templars because the conflict is just a pointless waste of life. He now believes personal survival and preservation of life is more important than fighting for the freedom of humanity, which very much shows how Achilles has given in and submitted to the Templars. He also sees and understands how the Templar vs Assassin conflict is neverending because new Templars and new Assassins are always being born and no matter how many Templars the Assassins kill and vice versa, there is no possible way to defeat them completely. The series has pointed out so many times that you can kill all the people in the world but you can't kill an idea and you can't prevent future generations of people from coming to believing it. This all ties in perfectly to Connor's speech about comprise and how the Assassins and Templars fighting eachother all the time is pointless and redundant because logically there's no end to it, and the best and smartest thing to do is to comprise with eachother and learn to tolerate eachother's differences and find a way to make peace and live together without fighting. This is literally the ENTIRE point and and explains the purpose of why Politics and Governments exist in real life and it all ties in perfectly with the setting of the newly founded America creating it's new government and political system. I love all of this so much there is much great writing going on here.
Hey Fizhy---Loved this video. A lot of it made so much sense. I almost wish I could have made this video. But hey my compliments to your attention to detail and your storytelling. Thanks for mentioning Del La Tour.
Conor I agree They trained way more then shay I don’t understand why they got killed by him but let me tell you if Edward was still alive during that time Edward would of killed shay easily.
I dunno why but I liked AC4 AC Rogue and AC3 storyline I just wished there was at least one game we’re you get to play as haythem kenway when he used to be an assassin.
Kyraptor 456 believe it or not, he was an assassin I know it sounds crazy but it’s true he said it himself in Rogue I think pretty sure someone said it.
@@Big_Tuna81 how could he have been an assassin if his training with Edward was never complete and was taken in by Reginald birch after Edward was killed
please do a video talking about iskender, a descendant of altair ibn-la'ahad and the mentor of the egyptian brotherhood in 1511, and say if you think hes an ancestor of desmond miles or not. (i believe iskender is an ancestor of desmond, but that has yet to be confirmed, and probably will never be confirmed.)
Seeing this video felt me like what assassin's creed has become from a action adventure stealth game set in mideaval era to a role playing game set in 440 BC this game has lost it's identity and I think the core fans of this series has almost lost the interest in this series Since AC unity I was used to be hyped for every next game now launch is on 5th, October and honestly I don't give a shit. (Sorry for my bad english)
@@danielantony1882 so? many people have been with this series since ac1 and agree with what he said about losing identity. You're nothing special and don't impose your opinion on others. He's free to have his own and you yours.
@@DG0011 it's not an opinion. It's a straight up baseless vining. The only thing you all can say that it's all retcon. How is it a retcon if non of the presented lore of the previous games has been changed? You're just making things up. People saying that Animus is a 3d renderer of memories, even tho it's fucking not. If i remember correctly from AC1 Vidick said that animus is a neiromagnetic DNA based simulator. So what that means is that it only needs info to simulate a non linear simulation. Layla has been one of ther Engineers of Animus since AC1. It's not like she can't make it non linear if she's one of the constructors. That's a fact. You guys are going against facts of AC1.
5:22 different Connor?!It's the same thing let me explain, the original Connor Davenport had died before,so Achilles gave Kenway(The native american/Connor) the first name of his own son, kinda like Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom with Tepeu
