"You just ruined your tip, do your job!" "Then you got the balls to sit here and bullshit with me..naw I can't do that, no way." yet another reason why Baine makes the movie entertaining.
Sounds like some people think a .22 is weak. First of all, if you're an assassin you're not shooting at military targets. It's a question of using the 'minimum effective dose' (there are plenty of instances of people dying from even carelessly placed .22 shots, watch COPS). Second, a .22 is easily rendered subsonic and thereby one of the most easily silenced weapons out there.
22s are like the squirrels of ammo...when they hit a target they bounce around and ping pong and that is how they cause destruction with little to no exit wound...want to kill with little clean up use a 22...bigger ain't always better it's about know what you're working with and knowing how to use it
Had the privilege to watch this on cassette years ago, and what a legend of a film, that till this day I have not forgotten about. Such an amazing storyline, characters, and soundtrack too it, and it's extremely well done. As always Stallone movies are always legendary status, and Banderas is extremely underrated. A film with action, emotion, and much more. Honestly underrated, and a must-watch. I don't want to spoil much but its worth it. 12.25.19
este tio el antonio banderas es el mejor actor que hubo en mucho tiempo estuvo infravalorado y lo sigue estando que bien lo hizo, divertido y expresivo la mejor actuación para mi gusto.
I read that Dick Donner thinks the film would have been better if it was a role reversal with Antonio and Sylvester. I'm glad that never happened otherwise we wouldn't get such great lines from Antonio.
I know. One, Banderas was fantastic. Two, wouldn't even make sense --- agewise; Banderas (fifteen years Sly's junior) is clearly the up-and-comer, attempting to dethrone the seasoned Stallone.
Now that I think of it....has Stallone ever played a villain in his entire career? I can't think of a single movie. He tends to typecast himself as the stoic loner when he's not Rocky. It would be interesting to see him play a villain.
It's actually a long barrel pistol. A heavily modified Claridge LEC9 (aka Goncz). He added a supressor, stock and scope to it, at least. They don't manufacture the gun anymore as the two companies who made them both went OOB.
Bah cuts out right before the funniest scene of the movie when Bain shoots the glass in the cab. When it doesn't break he says "Made in USA, so I took a chance" or the like.
