How long did your original motor last? And what is the new motor? My OEM gen 3 broke at 60k miles (after 20k boosted at ~800 rwhp) Mine broke because I revved it too high too many times (8400+ rpm) I think. 8 rocker arm retaining clips came off and one went through a cam and broke a cam cap. I also had multiple broken piston skirts. Motor still ran fine actually, no noises or power loss and compression test was perfect, only symptom was cam position code. I got a high compression aluminator to replace it, so far so good for me.
My orginal motor lasted til 40k miles. It would of last longer, it just had a weird issue occur. The gen 3 will hold a decent amount of power for a good period of time. I put another stock gen 3 in it
