Assetto Corsa’s Craziest Mod Keeps Getting Bigger | Shutoko Revival Project 

Whilst I enjoy the racing, there's something special about roaming endlessly around these virtual highways like a regular, law-abiding person. I find it very therapeutic, a great moment to put some music in the background and just drive, and think. The traffic makes is so much better.

for me this map is like perfect virtual world for car guys, you could just cruise around and when someone pass by you can catch up and race with them

I hope this one day pulls a Day Z and be a standalone download and play no mods experience just imagine this as a full fledge game with progresstion and car building

May have to finally jump into AC now that they have basically recreated Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero in it. Probably one of my all time favorite games of the past.

This mod teleports me to late 90 early 2000's to Tokyo, when JDM culture was at its peak. Its something that all car enthusiast should feel and try

Back in 2020 I came across your original video about SRP and got hooked to it ever since. Although I always was a car enthusiast, I only played racing games casually but with both my parents having caught covid and a business on the verge of bankrupcy, I found myself in need of something to calm myself, and driving on SRP allowed me a few moments of peace. Fast forward to now and both my parents are well, my company came out of covid stronger than ever and I'm a moderator of the server and one of the people who take care of the car pack. So thank you for showing us this wonderful mod, and I'm sure that a bright future lies ahead for us all.

One limitation which I don't think can be changed, you don't get to take any car you want you have to choose from a prechosen list, which is fine, but it would feel more like a car meet if you could be surprised by people's car models

I really love assetto just wish it didn't take up so much space with mods even when compressed, also my friends don't play racing games let alone have a wheel and everything but it's still fun solo with all the traffic. I have over 3,000 miles on shutoko and I still haven't seen every part of the map. I really hope Kunos makes it easy for mod developers and teams to port over old existing mods to Assetto Corsa 2.

also, sometimes at nigth, the ghost truck appears and bullys people. 11/10 mod

This is such a good mod. I have been on those roads with a friend that lives there. And have just driven the route he took by memory. Real nostalgia trip.

Bought assetto just for this and R34. Installed sky filter, 900hp 34, put some music and slam the gas. I ll buy oculus 2 just for this too.its something else

What I like in these kind of servers is that you're just cruising out of nowhere then someone just powerslide so gracefully in front of you.

man i remember when i first played in srp i was so amazed about the train passing by and it still amazes me til this day

Now if modders could implement body kits... engine upgrades, suspension etc... Make it feel like NFS but with the realistic handling. God that's my dream and it's almost there! Literally the need for speed we always wanted... But never got.

I can only recommend it, its amazing and the sounds are insane!

I remeber playing this a while ago in VR, it is a great mod. I had a Supra in real life at that time and it did feel somewhat accurate.

Spent a solid 2-3 hours just driving. Driving like a responsible person and following road rules... until another player speeds by, where I'll just dump the clutch and start a chase. Theres something so therapeutic about this, being able to drive without the consequences of paying for fuel or an expensive JDM car and let alone on the Highways of Japan. If there is a distant wish (which probably wont be possible with current tech) is for the roads to seamlessly connect to the mountain roads. Just do a solid road trip using the highways to Mt Hakone or Taikan or Akane, scale the mountains and back, then road trip back to Tokyo. Its wishful thinking and likely not possible with the sheer size of it but one can dream.

man.. I wish we had something like this for the "RIDE" games as I'm more a motorcycle guy... I would love a mod like this one with my bike.

What PP-filter are you using? These reflections in the wet look amazing!!

The fact that this project is free mod to an existing racing game is insane. If the SRP servers were all that the game was, I would definitely pay for that.

I am almost at 1000 hrs on Assetto and most of that is SRP or Touge Life. :)

Been playing Import Turner Challenge made by Genki. Talking to people at parking areas and getting info on rival drivers/teams...the battle system. If they can implement that battle system and campaign mode with this mod...that would be awesome. Wangan Midnight

With this game and map and traffic mod, my life dream came true, a really true amazing car simulator.

That shaking the further you are from the maps center is something I noticed in beamng, I set a car to run on cruise control at highway speed to get mpg, by the time it was done I was 70 miles out and the car was vibrating

This mod is the sole reason why I picked up AC and getting into sim racing. I miss Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero, even the Xbox version. This is promising.

We're expecting Assetto Corsa 2 in 2024. It will be very interesting to see what happens to SRP then ... Assuming the game supports modding still I'd hope for a port over to AC2 if the game ends up being good.

Man it sucks that we can't have this on consoles...Imagine if Gran Turismo had the balls to do something like this.

yoo this is will make a fun "lobby". Imagine riding aimlessly between traffic and you can simply voice chat drivers closest to you and just chat about anything while threading the needle..

I've driven more than 100 000km on SRP. I lasted 5h in NFS Heat before dying of boredom.

i hope this or something like this becomes it’s own game, would love to play it on console…as long as i can make private servers.

Motion blur on the sides would be a good thing to introduce I feel. While focusing on the road, the sides are always blurred and it will make it even more realistic.

This is really exciting, I enjoyed Tokyo Xtreme Racer on Dreamcast and PS2.

This mod reminds me of Tokyo Extreme Racer back on the Sega Dreamcast. ❤

SRP is fun but I prefer the NO Hesi servers because they offer traffic thats more Dense, it makes the driving even more difficult.

I've been having some lighting issues regardless of what CSP i use. There is no lighting in streets & in tunnels. This has been an issue in my SRP game for a while, which is why i haven't been playing it, when i installed a while back, everything worked fine, until i changed something, but, can't remember what i did.

They need to use this to bring make Tokyo extreme racer. That's all this reminds me of and I miss that game. I emulate it on my PC but there should be a new one.

God I miss Tokyo Xtreme Racer soooo much. Such a shame that modern racing games are so expensive to make and licenses kill all chances of small racing games like that to even exist nowadays :(
