Kunos could create a marketplace for mods so they can charge a small fee. Mods are what made AC the success it is.

I would go even further, it should become a platform for other devs to create licensed DLCs, also normal paid mods, and also free mods, something aka Unreal Engine but exclusively for sim racing.

@@givemeajackson no, lets say you as a dev get BTCC licence, then you make a DLC on AC Evo, sell on their marketplace and Kunos get some royalty fees for that, everything legal, everyone's happy.

The fanatec thing, I watched it, and yes, it made me not want to buy through fanatec. But that wasn't because of you, it was purely based on what he was saying, how he was saying it, and his response style towards you. Maybe, just maybe, he may need to watch the interview and listen to what he was saying.

If you want to hear an interesting story about Road Atlanta, look into the Whittington Brothers. Two planes would leave South America and fly into Atlanta close enough together to appear to be one on radar. The one that was full of Acapulco Gold would separate and land on the back straight of Road Atlanta. I've heard bits and pieces of the story since the 80s, but somebody finally did some research and put the entire story together very well a few years ago. It was a Discovery Channel program called Autobiography. "The Case of the Priceless Porsche". It's a story every Motorsports fan should hear, because the drug planes were only the tip of the iceberg

Having been going to Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans every year since 2011, there is nothing wrong with the first sector. The track is an amazing, especially in person.

There is a simple way around this mod issue for Kunos. Set up an asset store, like you might find on things like Unity and the Epic Game Store for Unreal Engine assets. That way, they can continue to make it mod friendly and take a cut for themselves. Most people will pay a couple of quid for some cheap mods, or even more for a set of good quality mods. Imagine, it would cost them nothing apart from the running costs of the servers and maintenance of the store. How much does it cost them to develop their own mods for ACC? Surprised to hear about your issues with Automobilista 2. I've had it for ages but only played it a couple of times. One of those times was with my Quest 2. While I can't get on with VR inside something like a GT3 car, I did a Brazilian open wheel series in AM2 in VR and it was amazing. I only have a "cheap" (these things never are) consumer-grade Thrustmaster wheel and it picked it up no problem.

if your rig is vr only like mine at the min setting things up is a nightmare while in vr. i also had to calibrate my logi pro wheel which was super fiddly. vr performance was pretty bad for to compared to ac. maybe im spoiled by content manager but i refunded although that is in part due to only having so much time to race and ac with lfm already provides huge diversity in driving so for now i dont have time to tweak, set up and explore another sim

spec on the steam page are super low.. lets hope thats because their in house engine is super optimised.. if its a heavily updated AC engine designed for direct x 12 and modern multi core CPUs performance should be excellent

Reason why AC is still so popular over a decade after its launch is because of the modding community. I think a lot of AC owners on PC would be using some of the paid for mods, they make such a difference and are still very affordable. This also means, for the developer, that there is a current, active user base, and I believe many of those will want to buy Evo too (assuming reviews are positive). AC might have been on sale for a while, but how many copies have been sold as a result of the modding community in recent years?….that is all money going to the developer, which they might not have otherwise got.

I liked Thomas, every video he seems like a genuine guy but the last year has shown that the current way fanatec is being run is not sustainable and personally as a person who has bought into the fanatec eco system I am happy corsair is coming in.

Strangely, AMS2 is the only game I can get to work properly with my Mozza r5 and Quest 3 VR head set. I keep trying AC but can’t get it all to work together properly. It’s strange that others are experiencing the opposite.

It’s criminal that F1 2024 does not support PSVR2. They need to change that. I know it’s hard to get a Sony license like Thomas from Fanatec was explaining to us but it is definitely a must have.

I hope Asetto Corsa Evo turns out to be really great, but im going to continue chosing iRacing as my sim racing go to. I just cant ever see someone outdoing them. Plus iRacing will be getting a new graphics engine so it should be kicking everyone else out the water. But as i said, i hope the new Ac is great be cause i wish someone offered a game where we could drive Super GT cars and i hope its them.

Love the AC mods however i agree that EVO will not be easily modded in the same way. Maybe they should look at those mods and bring us legitimate updates that are similar to those mods and generate the income for themselves?

I will just stick with AC. I mainly use AC to practice for tracks I goto here in my area. I don't play online etc... For me its a tool and not a game. I also only play in VR with Wheel and Pedals.

the modding part of the game has started to come to a point where indeed all the modders look at it like a money grab. But here is my biggest problem with it! From what i understand It's not even ALLOWED to SELL mods.... First of all considering the cars. The modders DO NOT have licences for these cars to be selling them. A track is something else. IF you make a track from scratch i feel like yes you could sell it. but would you? I would not.

Kunos is a to small company to bring enough content. You can see this at ACC. If they dont support modding, ac evo will never get the success of AC. Modding is the most important part of the success. All this different cars and tracks you will never find anywhere.

Did kunos create ACE to stomp out the modders making money off the back of there sim! I believe they did …. I mean its wild now with people charging patreon for PP FILTERS 🤣 nobody’s doing anything for this amazing hobbie unless you cough up the money. Yes I do buy into RSS / VRC there mods are outstanding but patreon for ripped tracks / cars not a chance! I try not to get amongst the politics of sim racing as there’s enough nonsense in the world but you can’t deny even sim racing is in permanent silly season I make my own mind up on products / sims I rarely watch these RU-vidrs praising stuff I know to be “crap” Good video fella that was interesting!

it should as long as it's not turned into another ridiculous practice drifting ans shotoku shi** game,,,, i want to get back to it's roots, pure unadulterated sim racing....right now on AC there isn't even 1 public race server on the nordschleife....that simply is not good enough. Things like track rotation on servers is a must imho,, and even continuous championships where points roll from race to race as was actually the case back on TOCA 3, and i rememeber people loved that system no dumb ghosting in the putlane, nonsense like this takes away from the immersion which imho is the whole point... ....anyway thx for preview and hu imfo..

@@shufflerip Hi Kierth, the title implies that Konus released a statement or at least that there is any news about ACE, but turns out it was a nothing burger. If I want to give the benefit of the doubt and not be so cynical, I can say this was directed to someone who hasn't heard about a sequel to AC, and this video informs him/ her about it, maybe.
