Good video and nice tips, but I'd argue that at 8:50, you basically pushed the guy off the track by not leaving him enough room. You were door to door and you just started to drift further to the right. He had nowhere to go. Also you should never assume everyone is using the same racing aids you do and use it as an excuse.

At 8:49 you closed up the other driver forcing him on the grass and hitting him. it's not 'cause he didn't use helicorsa, it's because you pushed him out of track as you can see from his trajectory going out of the corner. It would have been black flag for you.Using stuff like helicorsa is very bad for racing, you need to develop your sense of line and space since its just a distraction and can cause accidents as it happened there.

Sometimes just like in a relationship and when you get into arguments...you maybe right, however being right doesn't always mean you'll always win...sometimes it just better to better just to back off from the situation....and pick your battles. That's really a great video, nice tips and driving skills. Congrats! Btw I wanted to express my opinion on the last situation. In the straightline heading to turn 8 It seems that you were slightly moving on your right bafore having totally passed mclaren, not holding your line. He couldn't do anything but holding his line to avoid the contact, having no space on his right, except breaking, But in straightline, the car being passed should never have the need to brake to avoid a contact with his overtaker, since the latter should go straight (or at least should not close the door) untill he sees from the lateral mirror he has completely overtaken the car.

How many line changes a defending racer is allowed? Would that be one a lap?

Perspective is key at 8:50. Of course you will defend your position both literally and figuratively because you came from behind; however it was a very agressive move on your part trying to gain the position knowing turn 8 was imminent and he was running out of room. I think you're an excellent driver but this was a poor example imo. You could have probably picked many other examples to illustrate your point since I'm sure you race quite often but you chose this becasue I think you were pleased with the result..enjoyed the video otherwise. Great part about being patient when racing muia, I just wonder why the same kind of aggression wasn't used against him especially when you gained position on him prior to the first variant yet the same patience wasn't applied to the "nobody" in the mclaren.

good vid! apart from 8:48 witch was your fault ;) you litteraly left him 2m of road, and kept closing in. where was he suppose to go? the grass? lol. could you give a 3rd person view of that, if you think im wrong?

Even when you got the lead, we kept taking late braking and hitting late apex and kept the inside of your corner wide open for the opponent to cross you easily. You were so far from the inside rail during corners when you had the lead. If you kept cornering touching the inside edge then opponent couldn't get the chance to overtake you easily. Remember that it is risky and very difficult to take the outside edge to overtake and a slight difference will push you out of the track or end up crashing the wall.

Oh, man, that is one of the best videos you've done, mate. They're all good, but I personally learned a lot from that one. I'm a clean driver, don't get me wrong, but for instance I didn't know that you can only defend your line once. And the genius move to stop you from taking the external to internal line into the chicane, instead forcing you to go external into it. Just brilliant. Btw, what do you think to the Highlands track layouts?

for me every 3th part program to use so called helper is same like cheat, you geting the info that some players may not have or wont use and that give you advantage over someone, thats why i dont play MP races, no1 use the pure game

I just want to add something to all the people on here calling Project Racing out for the last wreck saying he didn't leave enough room for the other driver to take the outside line and is at fault for the contact. One while it would be tight he did leave just enough room and two the speed he overtook him at and the line needed to take that chicane from the outside the other driver was way too hot on the gas and should have already been hitting his breaking zone anyway, if he had been at the proper speed for the apex he needed to take on the outside the hit would not have sent him out of control like that and he honestly would not have been beside him anymore anyway. The other car attempted a very aggressive late break into the apex and tried to cut in front, honestly I don't know whether the other car would have even been able to pull it off without the contact anyway. The other car was passed far to close to apex and should have breaked early so he could tucked in behind and possibly gotten a run on him coming out of the corner, instead he raged at being passed and tried a stupid wild late break that didn't even come close to working. Project racing had already established the line and position and while he did squeeze him out a little he did leave him the outside lane of the track. What you should be asking is how a car passed that close to the breaking zone, at the rate of speed he was passed, was still even beside project racing in the first place. This tells me he was on the throttle in the breaking zone which is pretty easy to tell by how much his car was destabilized from the contact. The only way the other car could possibly make that apex at all would be to sweep across from outside to inside back to outside using the entire track, something he did not have in that situation, and honestly he looked to be carrying too much speed to make it even if he did have the whole track.

This is common sense. Racing lines are common sense. What's not common sense are the car set ups. By default, the cars set ups are incredibly slow, and I still haven't found anybody who can tell me what portions of the car set up affect lap times the most. 90% of the set up is not affecting lap times. The other 10% of the set up does, and I don't know what it is. Is it gear ratios? Tire pressure? what is it? I'm seeing people do 2 min 16 sec laps on SPA with GT3, and I can't get below 2:22. Assetto Corsa is all car set ups. I don't have this problem in Project Cars 2 where basically all the set ups are a few 10ths difference. In AC, a good set up looks like it will get you 3 to 4 seconds around longer circuits. That's retarded.

I don't try to spark a fire again here. You are a great racer, no doubt about it, but that incident before ascari was definetely your fault. You drifted into his racing line and pushed him off the track, you were before the braking zone when you did this. He wasn't trying to defend the outside line in ascari, he actually braked a little earlier than you, presumably to counterattack on the s as you said, but he had his outside wheels on the grass, that's why he hit you. He had more traction on the inside wheels when he started to brake, thus his car pulled to the inside of the corner and it was literally unavoidable for him, even if he had lifted off and moved back onto the track. You both were far too close to the braking zone and he would've gone into the sand either way. The rest of the video was textbook racing, congratulations!
