You spin me right round, baby Right round like a record, baby Right round round round You spin me right round, baby Right round like a record, baby Right round round round
Yeah, a beginner can avoid spins. But real pros are doing 360 entries. Nice tips and advices as always viperconcept ! Continues tes vidéos comme ça, elles sont géniales :)
What a SUPERB video, viperconcept. There are really not many Channels that are willing to share this kind of knowledge on how to be a better driver, and you are doing it ALL the time - and I therefore applaud you for doing that. Ever since joining RU-vid about 1 and a half years ago, my driving has probably improved 2 to 3 times what it used to be, thanks to drivers like you that are willing to impart their knowledge on to others. BLOODY WELL DONE, VIPERCONCEPT!!! ; )
what really helped me was learning to drift, because i knew how to make the car slide i could avoid it and "feel" the car much better, so i could avoid spins before they even happen
Gian Capobianco whatever I could get my hands on, i started with forza 1 on the original xbox but as long as the physics are somewhat realistic you'll get good practice
11:00 A rare sight of viperconcept drifting on purpose. I'd say another useful tip would be to try to induce a few spins on purpose and trying to correct them. Theory is important, but reflex is "importanter" and there is no other way to learn reflexes than to practice.
Today I've decided to left the videogames racing, I could not do a clean race or simply end a race, just spin spin spin, and you upload this video and now I did a clean race, good pace, good overtake, and end first, thanks bro
On joystick (Gran Turismo 5/6 PS3) it was hard as hell to not lose control on a powerful racecar, so I usually shift to a much higher gear (5th gear while still going relatively slow) easier for me :p Without traction control btw
I learn more everytime you post these types of vids, im imporving slowlythanks to your advice and knowledge. I just want to give ya a mighty big thanks for helpin people out with yer vids n such; Thank you Viper for your time, kindness, and knowledge.
there is a problem that happens to me. usually, when I successfully made a stable setup, I try to drive smoothly, and I'm not satisfied with the time, and since I have already found a comfortable setup, I don't know what to do next to make the car faster around the track.
Yeah my main issue was racing line and exiting the corner. I could definitely use this. Sadly the racing game that taught me that racing line is Test Drive Unlimited 2. And I saw another RU-vidr showcase what those cones are actually placed for. I felt like an idiot after that
Hello Viper! I got a guestion. When I'm racing on Project Cars 2 for the PS4, some players are using the same type of car that I'm using for example GT3 Skyline, and they are much faster than me. I assume they increase the gear ratio more towards acceleration (I experimented with that) but they are still much faster. What setups should I focus on besides gear ratio and tires? Thank you for all of your tutorial videos and keep up the good racing.
a simple shooting advice: it's better to set your camera at manual focusing at the beginning of 13:21, if you're using a digital camera. on a phone there might be a switch for that. anyway helpful vid!
Sometimes in ACC I am able to spin 360 degrees spin and recover. Other times on corner exit with my foot on the gas the front becomes very loose and I go off the track or hit a wall.
Is loving to drift a cause for spins? And what is the cause when my Porsche 919 just decides to slide through the first corner of le man's with full downforce and 10% throttle being slower than the other cars? I mean the long one not the chicane
9:50 that isn't a spin cure, its a nice drift session... :P Haha thanks viper this helps me a lot, I keep spinning out in f1 2017, now I can start learning to prevent that from happening :)
When I spinout I just let go of the gas button and try my best to regain control, and then I softly press the gas and tap it when I'm using a powerful car
The content is great, but it seems like the recovery part is focused on rear wheel drive. Is there any chance that we get to see how AWD and FWD recovers?
Just do the opposite and smash the throttle on FWD cars. On AWD, it deppends if its more rear or front based, but usually they spin way less than the others.
This is how I react when I'm about to spin out with ciunter-steer in Forza 7's sim steering: Car's tail gets a little happy and swings around, I apply ciunter-steer but it makes it even more tail happy, so I gently brake to get it back on track, if that doesn't work then floor the brakes as "emergency brakes" and get back to the race while looking out for incoming racers.
I've rallied FWD cars soo much, just point it like a horse's head and plant your foot down, or use throttle management if you circuit race, also pull handbrake a bit to correct oversteer
So the mistake I keep making was letting off the throttle. 🤔I'm gonna see if I can find a way to keep my "finger" on the accelerator. Controller user here. Also gonna invest in a decent racing wheel sometime soon. Thanks for the tips!
0:38 This happened to me many times in real life when I was getting familiar with a race kart. 30 hp on 80 kg with no electronic controls at all is no joke.
Honestly, i don't have any of good PC and a steering wheel to play racing game... But i use your advices to drive smoothly and calm on Assoluto Racing XD lol. Thanks!
Hey viperconcept I'm not sure if you'll respond to this, but I wanted a bit more insight on Factor #7: Curbs/Kerbs. This is my biggest reason I spin my cars. They either upset the balance or stability of my car, or it feels like my tires lose grip causing these spins. Many optimal racing lines tends to attacks the Kerbs, so I guess my biggest question is, how do drivers go through those without much problem?
I think I have to get rid of some of my dirt rally habbits for these kind of racing games :D instead of avoiding spins I just use my handbrake drift all the corners :D or I floor the throttle for half a second to get the rear to turn ;)
High kerbs do nothing for me, infact, I use abuse them for more space (while slowing down of course specially in the nurburgring) but for some reason, when I touch those damned flat kerbs even if they're dry, my car just flat out spins when I barely touch the gas or the kerb itself.
My Favourite race car atm is Audi R8 WRT GT3 but its so hard to control and i keep spinning it everywhere but i hope ive learnt something about this video
Yeah smooth driving is really the key. It ensures you don't upset the car's balance, no sudden weight shifts or the car suddenly jerking to a direction you didn't want, and therefore you avoid spinning.
Hi, thanks for the great lesson. I was about frustrated to know how to cure from the spin. I tried to drive smoothly and carefully and always keep alerting when the car is about to spin but when it spins suddenly, I just could not control the car.
yeah, you can do that easily behind the wheel. But how about the arrow pad? you know you can't do "throttle management" like you did and even can't do a "slow countersteering" on the arrow pad.
Is it possible to have the tracklist of this video ? I live the music of the background in the middle of the video. Great video, I learnt some tricks ;)
This is good for being cautious and avoiding spins but it's slow. You need to be on the power once you clip the apex, and you need to be able to catch oversteer to do so, because it'll be inevitable. No hate though, love your videos :)
Great Video as always and i am not even a racing game person. Cant remember which video made me sub you but i am always coming back for the entertainment and information :D
ya say about to not have the rear sway bar stiff i use it on fwd to make them drift in corners to avoid understeering. Results? yuo can block yuor opponent pretty well and if yuo brake drift yuo can have a way higher speed at the exit oh yeah if yuo drive an awd car that is heavy and has a lot of horsepower downshift and do a 4-wheel drift with it way better results
Knowing how to drift in racing games are also good for correcting spins because you know exactly how much countersteer you need to not spin while also not snapping in the opposite direction
another way to save the spin is to lock the tyres hard enough for your car to face the direction you want, but it will have to be controlled, the harder you lock the tires the more likely your car will face the direction you started spinning from. But still try not to lock the tyres because of tyre wear, but if you are in the spinning process it most probably is safer for your race to lock the tyres then go to the pits and change them than if you wait for the spin to be over which most probably will take longer.
Do you have any suggestions to set up the porsche 911 gt3 r (the gt3 versione of the 911) on assetto corsa on the ps4? Becuase i can t find a good set up
