There are literally thousands of mods out there for Assetto Corsa these days, but how many would you count as MUST HAVE mods? Well the mod that I discuss in this video is definitely in my top 10 essential mods for Assetto Corsa.
If you’re into modern Formula 1 racing then you need the RARE mod, which stands for Rules And Race Enhancements. Without this mod, Assetto Corsa is unplayable in single player mode with DRS winged cars, because the A.I. just open their DRS wings at every DRS zone around the track on every lap, making DRS a joke. The RARE mod fixes this A.I. problem and then a whole lot more!

awesome thanks. this mod is amazing! what strenght and aggression levels have you set for the race at the launch screen?

The A.I. strength was at 100% and the aggression was at 75%. But I customised each driver's strength between 100%, for Verstappen, and down to something like 93% or 94% for Sargeant and De Vries.

For me the AI is terrible even using RARE. I have it set to 95% and 75% aggression. They just bash into me, climb the pavement to overtake too fast then spin or just carry on at incredible speed. If they spin off track they reverse back on and crash into me or other AI. I wish they could be trained not to go off track to do an overtake and not to reverse onto track if other cars are approaching. I see this on many tracks e.g. RSS 2022 at Silverstone.

Thanks for the video. Do you know if the RARE mod works on multiplayer? I created a server to play with a few friends and would love to implement this

The RARE mod doesn't work for multiplayer yet. It is high on the mod creator's agenda, though. So hopefully multiplayer will work soon.

I can't understand why it doesn't work for me even if Rare is installed and "active" in game when I click on Rare in the task bar nothing happen and I don't have the window on/off rare menu, I don't know why pls help me if you know the answer by any chance !!!

Hi Laptoz. Are you using the following apps and mods? - The latest version of Content Manager - Custom Shaders Patch 0.1.79 (recommened) - RARE Rules And Race Enhancements v1.1.5.0 In the "Drive" tab screen in your Content Manager, where you find the track selection part there is a little drop-down menu of the different versions of the selected track. In this drop-down menu, is there a version of your track which says RARE at the end of it? If yes, then select the RARE version of the track and hit "Go!" to see if it loads up. Let me know how you go.

can someone help me? I installed the mod, but when I press "off" button to inject the app nothing happens

Make sure the circuit you're using has DRS zones, otherwise it won't appear to do anything. I suggest that you try the modern built in Kunos version of Silverstone. It's named "Silverstone GP" and it should have a little cat icon next to it.

@@ChrisGoesVrooom I managed to make the mod work by downloading another version on github, I think the problem is that I was on the wrong version, but thanks for the answer, this mod is perfect

@@murilofagundes2616 Do you have a link to the github download? Can't get this mod to even show up in the game anymore. Reinstalled it several times now. Shows in the LUA apps but not in game.

Very good video , well done my friend . But if someone can help me , i am not a fast driver , so with rare the ai becomes too difficult for me , even if i disable it continues to be the same , i cant race against them , i want to play with assetto corsa ai but with drs rules. Is that possible? How i can bypass the ai tweaks?

@@Nico-qi5bb no my friend , i abandon rare , the only thing i make , is that i put slipstream effect x10 , so the following cars be faster than the car who has clear air Infront.
