Excellent advice . Followed this to the letter and was symptom free for weeks . Unfortunately , feeling 15 years younger , i then went out on a boiling hot day and over exerted myself ! My symptoms returned 3 days later and no amount of inhaler med can put me back to where I was . I’m bitterly angry with myself . Wheezy , snotty chest back , with tickle cough and slight breathlessness . If I’d have no what a bitch Asthma could be , I wouldn’t have gone dashing about in the heat like a 20 yr old . Pissed off 53 yr old .
I have a late life diagnosis of asthma so have no history with medications and how to take them. At one point I panicked and went to ER. They told me to breathe through the chamber rather than let my breath out via my mouth as shown by you! But worse is they put 5 loads of medication into the chamber at once, loaded it for three times in a row. Useless. My personal Dr had no idea at all of medications and treatment and just Googled which I could have done at home. None of the medical fraternity acknowledged the fear and anxiety around not being able to breathe
Fantastic video, thank you. I've had my spacer for years but, as I get older, it seems I really should be using it more. No wonder the GP was insistent on me using the spacer bar with 10 puffs as soon as I got home from her today - I never knew that was the equivalent of a nebuliser. Thank you very much for an excellent and very informative video. Plus, eye candy - sorry, couldn't resist it!
Many thanks for your video I finally found out how to use the aero chamber and breathe out ie Not through my nose nor keep my mouth sealed around the mouthpiece ALL the time! Ie breathe out at the side through my mouth then reseal my lips for the IN! Thanks again.
The doctor is not using the inhaler properly, he is breathing in too fast! The blue inhaler is a pressurised container and when you press the inhaler, the propellant with the drug is released at high speed and ideally needs to slowed down, hence it's a gentle/slow breath is required.
I noticed that the first time he used the AeroChamber he produced the squeaky note showing that he was breathing in TOO QUICKLY - he should also have mentioned it is better to ensure you breathe OUT fully - before inhaling. Another Doctor on youtube shows that it is more affective to fire it into open mouth when inhaling slowly and deeply if not using a spacer - I find it more affective. I challenge his claim that using the Aero Chamber gets at least five times the medication into lungs.
@@angelynalambra8383 The chamber is really great! make sure you ask your pharmacist how to clean it and when to replace it. It helps coordinate the drug delivery
Hello I have a lespace, the idea is that the substance should remain until I breathe in myself, but this is not true if you press the button, you can see that a lot disappears from the lespace???
