Henry got sacked from his last job by idiots, I think it´s the best thing that ever happened to him. Love Henry´s enthusiasm, and dear will to do his best for us!
Ford ran a 4.9 liter inline 6. But, it was only a high torque, low horsepower workhorse. Probably the most unkillable gasoline engine in a production light truck ever built.
@TSW13 Haque The rich collectors would probably stick to the original. Don't know anyone would want a second edition of something if they have the money to buy the first one.
How is it that this channel doesn’t have over a million subscribers yet? The videos on here are beautifully shot and edited and Henry is probably the most engaging motor journalist on the internet at the moment.
I'd argue the new Vantage and DBS Superleggera are almost as good looking. Obviously they don't have the classic charm and beauty, but they're some of the best looking cars made in decades and I believe they'll be future classics in their own right
@@Ben-Rogue True! Though I think the Vantage has a much more timeless, athletic and classy design. The DBS on the other hand looks a bit too fussy and extreme, like it's hiked up on make-up and drugs lol. Both are still relative stunners though.
Great video, great car. Only comment would be Henry that as a journalist rather than a racing driver primarily an open face helmet would be a better choice as you would not sound muffled and we could also see the joy on your face.
Every inch the visual equal to the 250GTO IMHO. Infact, of all the cars I could've chosen, it was 2 VEV that I decided to draw, just for fun (as I'd never own one!!)....
@@Billbothebear14 maybe not everyone is 14 years old like you, when I watch a "track review" I want onboard footage, this video is an improvement over the stupid vlog-camera they were using all the time not to long ago but I still rather watch the raw onboard footage of that onboard cam instead of this garbage. it feels like a podcast with bits of driving footage and they made the video 12 minutes long to get extra youtube money when they could have created an epic video for true drivers. you don't have to agree with me, you also don't have to go out and drive 150mph regulary like people in my country, you don't have to go drifting or go to a track, you've probably never been to a track if you disagree with me because otherwise you would know how enjoyable the raw onboard footage of a car like this is on a racetrack. but you do have to understand that different people like different things. how can I care about toys for billionaires when all I need to have fun is a RWD car with ~100hp? how can I not care about onboard footage of a rare car like this driven by a real driver on a racetrack? you watch whatever you like, and I watch motorsports and get driving impressions by watching a car go down the road. sure, henrys opinions are valuable, but like I said the onboard footage is at least as valuable. have a nice day.
With an imminent world-wide ban on fossil fuel cars, probably by 2030, gorgeous classic models such as the DB4 Zagato should be built as powerful electric cars
Shogun God I really wish you were wrong but sadly I think that’s pretty much what will happen. Even at the huge discount over an original no way you’ll see more than one or two on a track EVER. Such a waste
I love this car, and the idea of owning one, but it does make me think: for 6 million you could buy 24 Alfaholics GTA-R, which seems much more enjoyable. You really have to be lined with cash to own this. Kudos to the 19 lucky guys/girls, but for me it's just an exercise in car price speculation... especially since the original car never won anything significant, so no pedigree. Anyway, I think car journalists are enjoying more these kind of cars than modern day hyper-fast cars, which is something I admire. Hope to drive one car of this era some time in the future...
@@Gaudine . Whatever. There's plenty of AM Zagato kit-car option's on the market for a fraction of the price. This is just AM cashing in. -It's like buying a Canaletto re-production and trying to convince everyone that you bought the real deal because you were gullible enough to pay an absurd amount of money.
Fahrenheit 451 bro don’t get me wrong I hate this myself. I know it doesn’t hurt me or concern me but I’m against replicas. When I learned so many cars that race at Goodwood revival are actually replicas I was so disappointed.
The idea of making a new version of an old, hyper-valuable classic that you can use more is cool, but we all know that all of these continuation cars (except _maybe_ one) will get hermetically sealed away in a collector's garage anyway. 🤷
That's what speedo's did back in the day. The needle used to bounce around over a speed range so you had no idea the exact speed you were doing. It seems an odd thing to replicate but I guess if you really want to drive one of these and not be able to tell you are not driving an original then it makes some sense.
Well done H. Lovely film as ever. Now, I wonder if it is me.? In looking at this, certain aspects SHOUT out to me AC Aceca.? Perhaps it is me.. Seasons greetings. WF PS, if you don't know, check out the Aston Workshop site. Their DB4 GT replica does not cost £6m and you'll get loads of change from their asking price. And perhaps a used Aston thrown in for good measure. Happy days.
This is an achingly beautiful car. Half a century on, and I see the brand new vanquish vision concept as a world apart, but equally beautiful. They know a thing or two about design!
Are these road legal? I wonder how they can get the serials and registration - are they deemed kit cars, or actually an Aston. They obviously don't pass modern safety and emissions. Secondly, Time to make a "Continuation" series where the lucky guys who buys them can all race in and have works type service.
The seats are really ugly and the cage dosen't look good either. The car itself looks good but not amazing. Guess they'll have a hard time selling them.
There should be a new Sportscar looking like vintage sports cars ála Db4 Zagato, Ferrari Gto etc. but with simple/reasonably priced technology... For examole: Put a body like this on a Miata Chassis!!
exceedingly beautiful automobile, a gentleman's car, but that silly helmet ruins the whole presentation. of course it was a race car at the time, but what really stands out today is its looks. testing it's performance on a race track completely misses the point. Get yourself a Nissan GTR to do that. It proves again, good style doesn't come from the "more-money-than-brains-community".
Thank-you Henry for doing proper reviews and driving the cars like was intended. Chris Harris is a fantastic driver but has become an unwatchable embarrassment with his juvenile (and slower) drifting obsession. And let's not even start in on the children from Motortrend....
A "proper review"...LOLs An over-bored block, a carbon-fucking-fibre seat and a bouncy speedo gauge: great review. Neville, did you notice that car drifting about a little? Take your blinders off ffs, will you?
OK, lets build a replica so people can drive it more than the hyper-rare original. And to make sure people really drive it we put in horrid, awful, shocking, „please blind me with a glowing metal stick“ Carbon Seats and make the whole thing 6 Million. 6 Million sounds about right for a car that you will use on a daily basis and so much more often than you would use an original. Will probably see hundreds of those on supermarket carparks. OK, you got it, I don‘t like it
Wow six million plus tax !! You would have to be out of your tiny mind to buy this car..Aston are taking the mickey on the pricing,It does not matter how good it looks, its not an original, its a fake !!! I have a fake Omega watch, it didn`t cost half as much as an original,it cost a few pounds to buy,but it seems Aston have a different view on things !!!
Gonna put a unpopular opinion here, in my humble opinion the original DB4GT was the most beautiful Aston ever produced. Everything that Zagato touched looks like it has been stung by a bee or having an allergic reaction...
So Lucky Henry! I’m sure more than a few fellow Journalists are jealous. Ha Ha, Looks like you are having a great time sliding around in a £4-5 million Car
6 million and you can't lean on the fenders, the interior is spartan and 'NO' , you can't forget how much it costs. I love classic cars but not that much.
