Henry not only saved Carfection, but the whole RU-vid car community ever since Chris Harris on cars went corporate. The best out there. Keep up, Henry.
Nail on the head there. He's actually surpassed Chris imo. Chris is a fantastic driver with perhaps a bit more of a comedic persona, but the way Henry talks is just captivating (coupled with the most captivating videos too).
I don't know if every journalist is being deliberately wrong about the "superleggera" badge just to generate comments, but... Yes, it translates to "super light" but it's there as a tribute to the Italian coach builder "touring superleggera", they did the bodywork on the DB4, DB5 and DB6. There... Now you know!
@@augustortiz Chris now a days has some scripted af videos with that horrible top gear editing but he still has some great videos with his choc style. He's still my favourite. Henry is really good too tho.
Colin Mcrae yeah i agree, he is still very captivating to watch but i have always preferred someone being natural instead of scripted lines and jokes. Scripted reviews become easily forgettable
Chris harris is entertaining and certainly captures a more mainstream audience. Henry however, is an artist of automotive poetry, which may be fell on deaf ears of the masses, but truly appreciated by connoisseurs of automotive passion.
IN REALITY: Heavy car, slow (for 600 hp), too expensive and has a horrible and dated interior. Henry just tries to justify all that and that is the reason I don't like him. Extremly boring hippster with his boring reviews and ZERO criticism.
@@Ivan-os3vu Horrible and dated? it's from their newer platform. its refined. Each to his own. Slow? 6 seconds to 100mph, that isn't slow by any modern standards, it has 715HP not 600. It's more a GT car, not a hardcore road racer. If it was I'd agree with you and say buy the 812 superfast. This is a car for a different purpose, not hypercar track weapon. It sounds fantastic, goes like stink and looks the business. Good work aston. (I'd still buy the DB11 Volante and save the money though)
Seriously? That massive grille that Aston are putting on their cars is the most hideous design I've ever seen on a car. With a number plate it looks almost exceptable, but it's still ugly.
FULLY FULLY FULLY AGREE. Nothing out there as beautiful as this. The McLaren 720 is an absolute weapon but just not as beautiful. Ferrari 812 doesn’t even come close in the looks department but the new F8 is very beautiful...
It is a lovely car, but I actually prefer the previous gen DBS. The old V12, though down on power sounded so glorious. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have one.
These videos are getting better and better! I’m still awestruck with the Porsche Speedster and here comes the Aston to get me drooling again! Fantastic work Henry & team!!
You can’t use the ultimate performance of any of these cars on the road so comparing one to the other seems irrelevant. Just enjoy it for the piece of art that it is.
@@allensaunders449 Nah I think actual customers of these cars are more inspired by the design, the presence and the luxury that they offer. I doubt many care about if it is 100kg heavier or .3 seconds slower in some random performance metric. Now RU-vid viewers, that's a different story, everything is a numbers game, and everything needs to set the benchmark or otherwise is somehow inferior or trash compared to what is that standard.
Or you're just hearing that because, like all idiot petrol heads, you're biased against turbos because, for some reason, you like cars that make loud horrible noises.
@@David-ud9ju Fuck off. I love a turbocharged noise, the sound of turbospool and wastegates sounds wonderful. Unfortunately in this case there is none of that, and we've lost the soaring V12 noise as well. You only need to listen to this against the old Vanquish to hear the difference. So why don't you shut up, and go comment on something you *actually* know something about.
Say what you want about how Aston Martin's drive or feel but Aston Martin's design team is pretty much spot on every time. Aston Martin has what i think might be the most beautiful lineup of car models in the world.
That moment when Henry talks about the engine being a "5.2 litre turbocharged V12", at approximately 5:30, it felt so off. I realized I've always associated Astons with N/A V12s. Something inside me doesn't want to accept that turbocharged Aston Martins are the norm now.
Stunning video Henry. I've just got a 4k TV and these video's make the most of it. This and the Cayman\Spyder video's. Some of the best on RU-vid IMO. Great tracking and drone shots and beautifully explained.
What a great roadtest, these are the sort of guys that need to be on top gear - not the current bunch of knob heads that are on there currently - although the ‘ Small one ‘ as those 2 other knobeds say is ok in mi opinion
Brilliant Video, This car is sculptic art with the engineering prowess and elegance to back it up and command the price, it is in a small bespoke group of cars that is for emotional appreciation that you can drive, I would walk past a 720S to this and say please wrap this one up,
Henry for Top Gear! RU-vid would lose a lot, but who cares about RU-vid nowadays. Combination of Chris and Henry sounds like a contrasting dynamic duo I'd like to see one day.
Alot of people misunderstand the DBS but you hit the nail on the head Henry - It's a Super GT, not a sports car, not a super car but a Super GT. If it was a Holden HSV, it would be a GTS.
This has to be the most beautiful car in the world! I'd definitely buy one if money was no object but it would absolutely be a decision from the heart and not the mind.
Actually in Spanish "Volante" is a qualifying adjective in present perfect tense that describes a flying object in a qualitative manner. It can also be used as an inference for that which is capable of flight. Ex: if I hold a frisbee in my hands it's called Disco (which is not short for discotheque) but when tossed in the air usually describing a vectorial trajectory, at that moment, it can by said of it that it is; un disco volante.
It's the perfect big luxurious stylish super GT car for me, unfortunately I could never afford one but I doubt rich people buy them for their out n out performance, just like Aston had intended the car to be brought as by rich people for it's style and luxury for comfortable long distance driving when you can't take the Ferrari or Lamborghini for a 4 day 1000 mile road trip to your other house on the coast, that's what 95% of Astons are designed to do, for out n out performance they have built the Valkyrie, Vulcan and Valhalla, can't wait for these cars to be out n about!!
Henry took twelve minutes to politely avoid telling us that he doesn't like the car at all. How many times has he said "weight". Not that it means a thing, cos' good ol' Henry only likes cars that can be trashed like he is on a racetrack. Aside from his "trash the car" bias, nice channel !
@@godlyobject6509 so basically you're here just because this particular video was shot beautifully. Ohhh I get it now you love making or watching videos being made no matter what the content is, right! Took a while to process the whole thing in my brain😂😂. Good day mate!
@@godlyobject6509 do you just watch car reviews in particular or other content as well? I'm asking as you mentioned top gear because that's my favourite show as well!
