The final laps of just the GTE battle between the 97 Aston Martin Vantage GTE and the Corvette plus some behind the scenes footage of the Aston Martin Racing team celebrating on the pit wall.
I guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
If you watched le mans in 2016 and know the outcome of that, and watch this straight after, it epitomises how racing should be and makes us love racing all over again
Fantastic contest right to the wire, I was cheering the Aston on as loud as the British & Irish lions rugby this summer. Fitting end to the career of the Aston Vantage, hope the new car is as successful.
@@danieltrovato6766 The UK has better dental care than the US. It's proven in the official rankings, it's called the DMFT Index. The UK is 4th in the world, The USA is 9th. Why do my comments keep getting deleted? Censorship is cowardice.
Love AMR to bits but shame it had to end for the corvette with a puncture after putting up such a fight Bigger shame that vette racing wont be joining in 2019 like Ferd and BMW...
This reminds me of one of the battles between Rossi and Marquez. This is the best I've seen in Le Mans. You can tell seeing my username that I'm on Aston's side 😉. This is a late comment, don't mind.
You know although my Corvette lost, I have to say that this one of greatest battle I have ever seen. And lost was not that painful. My hat goes off to Aston Martin. Aston Martin is a beautiful car. They were just better than my Corvette that day congratulations Aston Martin. This video never gets tired.
what makes you think Corvette racing has a big budget, if anything Team Corvette has the smallest budget. They run at a disadvantage using a single cam V-8. They've never had a performance adjustment, Corvettes just keep improving on what they got. The heart of Chevrolet power plant & a even 50/50 weight distribution.
Desmond Griffith couldve* I still think Jonny would of caught him as in the second chicane on the mulsanne jonny was not far behind and Taylor gained time from that,
If only all tarmac track racing could be as exciting and as dramatic as this one, fantastic drives from both team's, the Aston driver's sure put the pressure on that vette driver, they forced him into making huge mistakes to defend his lead, its a good job that exit route was there because he braked way to late to make that corner he would of crashed otherwise.
We've got Bathurst here in Australia, the USA has the the Daytona 500(?) But let's get real, Le Masn is where everyone proves they can walk the talk and drive the road 🙏
Absolutely fantastic race with the AF Corse Ferrari team this year. Shame corvette couldn't be there. Aston and Corvette have massive respect for each other.
super for the Aston - I'm just guessing - half the budget of the big factories, Porsche, GM & Ford ? of course the Ford is really in a different class, cherry picking but the rule 'adjustments' got that.
the greatest fight of Le Mans 2017, also good fight for Jacky Chan DC Racing that was not fierce as Porsche LMP1, i felt sad for corvette failure but my cheer was with aston martin.
Nust Ered no it was the last corner but on the lap before the last lap. So he still had a chance of winning if he didnt overtake him there. But that would be literally the fucking greatest battle i have seen in my life. Imagine a last lap last corner overtake to the first place in a 24h race.
asterik what ? the tires going - dea Aston pushed them to overdrive. IF Corvette hads stopped to change 5 laps earlier they wouldn't have been in first. or another whine about power - all the companies have power restricted, except maybe Porshe.
+Rick C Actually the Aston had been on its tires for 16 laps (before the battle) while the corvette was only on 11. I assume the corvettes off-road excursions had something to do with it
This was a Chevrolet win ! Obvious the fluky bad luck on tyres kept the leading car back from the win. That AM was so close to the Corvette proves Aston Martin is a good car ! :) (too bad it needed chev to get a tire puncture in order to get ahead
The Aston's put the pressure on him to be fair, they forced him into making mistakes to defend his lead, if that exit route wasn't there he would of crashed, he brake way to late to make that corner he had no choice but to go down the exit route, his nerves got the better of him, but the puncture didn't really happen until the Aston was in the lead, he actually cut another corner and hit the rumble strip to try and catch up, its racing unfortunately when both cars and drivers are closely matched like these 3 , its the driver who keeps his cool who wins, the vette driver perhaps could of won if he could of handle the situation a lot better but we will never know
