This video is about the Villois Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT2, which races in the 2012 International GT Open Championship. At first the car was a V8 Vantage but for this year championship the team decided to switch their V8 engine with the new V12 engine. The car so it's based on the new Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 but it has been modified to race correctly in the GT2 Class.

Maybe it is GT3 version? Cuz the GTE or GT2 version have V8.

Circuits are usually open on test days or whatever, it's just most people don't really care enough to make their way down there for test sessions or less well-known open racing events.

The official FIA noise control rule is that no more than 110db at 3800rpm, or 30% throttle if I remember correctly. It doesn't mean that all FIA sanctioned races must use this rule though, it depends on the organizer. So some races are loud, some sounds less loud.

i noticed the same at spa-francorchamps. but the ex gt1 corvette's are still very loud. so i dont get it. its a shame that the Ferrari's are so silent. the sound of the GT2 ferrari was the reason that i visit the GT open weekend every year at spa-francorchamps.

That's not a GT2, it's a GT3. You can tell from the "triangular" engine vent near the front fender

Vi confermo che quest'anno le 458 GT2 montano degli scarichi nuovi con silenziatore, visto le modifiche apportate al regolamento, prodotti da Tubi Style con un bel po' di difetti di produzione (si aprono le carcasse dei silenziatori..:-/ ) Oltre al sonud, ne risenteno un po' anche le prestazioni...:-(
