@@Street_Fitter I can imagine mate, struggling to find a sodding gsi spoiler 🤣🤣, it's mad how things you could get at any point afew years back have all just vanished
In hindsight you actually don't need to remove them if you push them the heater controls slide out and they stay in place on the centre console. So you can refit them to the centre console with it removed and then the heater controls just slot in, rather than trying to do it with it in place. If you have bent them out a bit when removing just get a pair of snips and squeeze down on the bottom of each and they will tighten up.
@@Street_FitterThank you for the fast response! Ah, I wish I asked before removing them. While trying to put them back in one of them snapped. Do you know by any chance what would be the name of the metal clip so I could find it online?
@@spopovici I think the best place to find one would either be in a scrap yard or someone selling a car for parts. If your on Facebook you could ask in some of the Astra groups. I've had a look on eBay just now and couldn't find any there. I would just call them either centre console metal clips or heater control securing clips.
Evening, thought I'd ask you mate, don't suppose you have ever come across an issue with led stop tail bulbs knocking the cruise control out on your astra have you?? If you have how did you solve it?
I fitted some Chinese led brake light bulbs and had a world of problems. When I switched off the ignition with the brake pedal depressed the dash lights stayed on! My car doesn't have cruise control tho but wouldn't surprise me if its a bulb issue. In the end I bought a set of led brake light bulbs from Halfords and have been fine for 2 years so far. www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs/380-super-bright-led-car-bulb-halfords-advanced-twin-pack-719264.html
Just checked those bulbs properly and there white 😞, previous owner removed the red dome from the irmscher lights, so think I'm gonna be stuck with red halogen bulbs (working cruise control) and change them out every few months when they turn white
I had the same issue. I fixed it by installing a load resitor across the stop lamp wires. I recommend if you don't want to solder, find LEDs with built in resistive load balasts. Otherwise you'll need to install a little 3w load resistor across the globe. This tells the module that there's actually something there.
hello. 3.4" or 4.3"? I read something in the comments about the conversion kit, what do you mean? Garmin only works connected to USB or does it need something else?
4.3" Well spotted! I've updated the description. So I've since connected it to a bc30 reverse camera which means I had to use the cigarette lighter plug so I connected the power supply from the cigarette lighter outlet to an external dual cigarette outlet adapter just so that I could hide it behind the centre console and still use the original cigarette lighter outlet.
