The car doesnt start after being left to stand for a while. I can hear that fuel pump works, it has a new battery... It starts after pushing it, and works until the engine is warm.

Thank you for posting this, my son and I were scratching our heads until I came across your post. Crankshaft sensor on an 2007 SRi Turbo is hard to get to(Helps if you have small hands) Had no fault code. Can get the sensor from the top, right next to the dipstick, fiddley work but managed with some patience. Thanks again Champ.

I have the same issue. Thank you guys. I will try to order crankshaft sensor maybe it will solve my issue also. I have an Opel Astra H 1.6 petrol

I have a astra h 07 1.8 and the crank sensor on mine is right behind the starter motor . You have to take the starter motor off to get to it and remove other parts to get to the starter motor holding bolts about 3-4 hours work.

don't kill your battery, its a weak fuel pump. fill your tank above half, it will start, then get the fuel pump changed.

I had same problem,I could not find fuel relay because my petrol pump could not turn on.i had to creat a relay that turns on my petrol pump and it fixed the problem I have 4 years driving my car as is.

Did you solved a problem? My Astra doesn't start at all. Fuel pump is new, fule filter also. No error codes on diagnostics. Engine is petrol 1.4 year 2008.

I have the excatly same problem, but i dont have crankshaft sensor error code. Does it matter? Im tryin to repair my CIM cuz i have CIM + Immobiliser error code.

It wasn't showing crankshaft sensor for me too, but after reading online, i realised that very likely it will be crankshaft sensor, since it was cheap on ebay i gave it a go and it worked. What code you getting?

crank sensor, the rev counter shouldnt be bobbing up n down like that, however ive one doing the same and ive tried absolutely everything

camshaft sensor is causing similar issues, you can park the car (if it runs) one side on the kerb and lift another side jack up. :)

Mine has same problem but it start when I push down on hill and then put second gear ... The works normal when is warm starts from first time ...

I remember i used push down the hill and it starts as normal, but then car stops for a while and cools down, didn't want to start

Any one able to help me iv a 06 opel astra h 1.4 and it's not starting and the faul gauge isnt working brand new battery fuses spark plugs and still wont start

Hi mate. Did you work out what was wrong with you car I have had the same issue and. My fuel light is on and it's leaning to the right side. I have had the same issue before replaced the crank sensor and it work job it now I'm back to square one Cheers

svetlioex - no, engine starts now every morning, so i am trying to keep engine warm all day. I think the problem might be crankshaft sensor. I ordered it. waiting for delivery now

it might be an actual starter is about to die or it might be a battery running low...
