There's nothing like standing under the Milky Way to put your problems into perspective, according to professional photographer Michael Goh.
"The humility of being under the stars, realising that whatever our problems are down here the universe doesn't care, is very rewarding and humbling," Mr Goh said.
The Western Australian photographer spends a fair bit of time stargazing in his specialty as an astro-photographer - and he's not alone.
The state is becoming a hub for stargazers, with nine towns in the mid-west region recently forming an astro-tourism trail.

Absolutely magnificent! We're from the Philippines and just beginning our own astro-tourism in the country. It's great to see how successful your events have been. Congratulations!

my biggest wish is to someday see the milky way. sadly i live in a highly light-polluted area so i‘ve only ever seen just a few stars :(

same here, even though the milky way is around us and we're looking at it everyday, our eyes don't see it with the light pollution :(

I'm SOOOO jealous, but the fall/winter constellations- Orion, Pleiades, Taurus, Aldebaran, Sirius are up here and gorgeous as always. M31 is straight overhead at 9pm, (November). greetings from Michigan.

Hi from the south! I wish I could see your beautiful aurora borealis light shows in the north. They're much more vibrant and colourful over there! 🌌

If the earth is flat, shouldn't we be able to see all of the constellations in the night sky?

Can people in Australia see ORIONS belt? If so how if the world is a globe AUSTRALIA is facing south into space yet UK is facing north you shouldnt be able to see the same star constaliations logically.
@cactuskooler1942
@cactuskooler1942 3 года назад
Orion's belt is right on the equator and thankfully can be seen from the northern and southern hemispheres. Constellations and objects closer to the north and south poles won't be able to be seen from the opposite hemisphere. Things like the Big Dipper aren't seen from Australia, likewise the Magellanic Clouds can't be seen from the UK.

I also came here to ask Australian if they can see the North star since they are in the southern hemisphere... to debunk all Flat earthers..

The core of the Milky Way is perfect evidence that the Earth is in fact a sphere. The Earth actually orbits around the sun at a roughly 60 degree tilt which means we're basically above the plane/disk of the galaxy....we are looking down on the core. But the Earth is also tilted 23 degrees with the Northern Hemisphere being tilted above and away from the core. Essentially, the Southern Hemisphere looks directly down towards the core. So all you have to do to prove that the Earth is in fact round is to go down to the Southern Hemisphere in the middle of the Milky Way season and see that the core appears directly above you at a certain time of night but in the Northern Hemisphere it barely gets more than 20 degrees above the horizon. THIS CAN ONLY HAPPEN IF THE EARTH IS A SPHERE. If it were flat we would all see the core at the same altitude in the night sky. If you don't comprehend what I just explained, well that's probably because you are dumb enough to think the world is flat...
