Astroneer Description
----------------------------
Explore and reshape distant worlds! Astroneer is set during a 25th century gold rush where players must explore the frontiers of outer space, risking their lives in harsh environments for the chance of striking it rich.
On this adventure, a player’s most useful tool is their ability to shape their world, altering the terrain and extracting valuable resources from planets, and moons. Resources can be traded or crafted into new tools, vehicles, and modules to create everything from massive industrial bases to mobile rover bases.
• Reshape terrain as though it were made of Play-Doh.
• Survive on and explore procedurally generated planets that can be entirely deformed and traversed.
• Build vehicles and travel to new planets and moons.
• Snap together components and objects to create custom vehicles and modules.
• 4 player online drop-in/drop-out co-op.
History
----------------------------
Astroneer is developed by System Era Softworks, based in Seattle Washington, with members teleworking from like Toronto and Salt Lake City. Astroneer is System Era’s first game as a studio, with members hail from triple-A development with individual credits on Halo, Assassin’s Creed, Team Fortress, the Sims, and many others. System Era came together in 2154 out of a desire to create games that reflect the legacy and future of human space exploration, inspiring a sense of wonder and reverence for a beautiful universe.
Features
----------------------------
• Explore multitudes of procedural worlds.
• Shape completely malleable terrain. Dig to the center of the earth, or forge mountains.
• Craft vehicles and discover resources to reach ever further in the galaxy.
• Survive in ever more harsh and rewarding environments.
• Play with friends in online or local multiplayer. astroneer tips astroneer ps4 xbox one

Instead of scanning the Exo Dynamics Research Aid thing, put it in the research chamber and you can get over 1000 bytes
@VincentHarrydragonphire
@VincentHarrydragonphire 3 года назад
As my first planet hop, I like to unlock the packager and take a full load of them to Atrox. The research samples under the spitting plants are one of the highest bytes that are on the surface of a planet and the plant is easy to dig up from a safe distance and the packager lets you gather multiple at a time. Bringing a packaged tractor and 3 trailers also speeds up the gathering and less tethering.

If you scan the research aid thing you get 1000+ bytes
@wailinwook
@wailinwook 5 лет назад
I was going to comment this as well. The little rock and plant ones also give you extra when scanned in the machine, but I find that they only jump from 15~ to 90~ and they take forever to scan, so they aren't really worth it. Those research aids though are pretty much equal to astronium in terms of how good they are. Also, the cylindrical ones are better than the dome shaped ones.
@OneLastMidnight
@OneLastMidnight 5 лет назад
What is the burn rate on the research aid?
@wailinwook

@@OneLastMidnight the cylindrical research aid starts out at 330~ B/m drops down to 164 about 2/3 of the way through and towards the end drops to 123. It has a total of 1,350 bytes in it. I'm not sure about the dome shaped one because I couldn't find one.

I like to set up a research outpost on Glacio. Once set up, let it scan the EXO research pods while you gather Hematite and Titanite. Just a few pods scanned should do it. Note you'll need a fair bit of power to unlock the pods, although the resource pods are a lot easier.

Once you have the soil centrifuge up and running make clay, use the furnace to convert it to Ceramic and then build small wind turbines from your backpack to get your power supply up very cheaply! They provide 1.5U and are well worth it!

Well presented and explained. Whenever I have finished with an area that I have Tethered to (including a one-stop visit to a planet) I always regather all of my Tethers. Firstly, it is more economical to do this, particularly in the early stages of the game. But more importantly, a large amount of Tethers can lead to some serious lag problems (at least that was the case in early access). When visiting a planet it may be more important to use all of your inventory packing space for more vital resources. In which case, I still regather all of the Tethers and leave them as a bundle in a pit making them readily available should I return to the same location at some point in the future. Needless to say, if I have marked the spot on a planet with the intention of returning then I leave the Tethers in situ.
@OneLastMidnight

Good point. I tend to get lazy with my tethers.

nice vid, but power priority by proximity as a concept was removed, with the.. basebuilding update feb 2018 afaik. It is all a shared pool, unless you use extenders to down prioritize parts of base.

Hey man just wanted to point out that your description isn’t looking right. Formatting for the bullet points is showing - “&bull”. I didn’t think you’d be able to tell from your end of things so I figured I’d mention it. Cheers

Thank you! Those are special codes that should render as a bullet point, but I guess on some browsers they don't.

Funny how he wants the platform b and i go for the shuttle and pakaging equipment. Wonder why? Cus all the gold bytes is on glacio. One hand scan gives you 400 bytes a rock gives you upto not including 4000 bytes so i useally bring back idk 20 of them it unlocks enough stuff to really make a diffrence. Also i build 2 rocket engines so i can stop by lythium planet to pick 4 lithium for my 4 bateries i orderd. Helps with the scanning process and goes alot smoother. Lol i just started a week ago and i think i got thing down pat for that concept. But id really like to know how to set up an auto nanocarbon factory so i can start makeing auto miners.
