Astroneer How To Activate Core Easy Way 

This is the simplest way to activate a planet's core. Here are the steps:
1. Pave roads to all the surface nodes. Pay attention to which one is closest to your base. Click the object at the center of the surface node to see which one you're at (Origin Node). Remember this!
2. Make sure you have on your backpack: (1) Small Oxygen Tank. (1) Packager. (2) Whatever resource the center node needs to activate it. (1) Resin for oxygen filters. Either Jump Jets or a packaged Tractor (Tractor is safer). (1) Organic (I didn't carry one in this video, and barely made it to the center!)
3. Tractor with one Trailer, Drill Strength 3 drill bit, Small Generator and 2 Organic (alternatively you could put a Medium Storage on the trailer and carry lots of extra organic).
Start the generator and drill straight down, so you're basically falling toward the planet's center. Once you get there, package the Drill to take back with you (Leave it attached to the Tractor or it will float away after you package it). Get 2 Geometric Triptych's by inserting the 2 resources. Use one to activate the node and teleport back to the node closest to your base. Use the second Geometric Triptych for the alien platform in outer space.
