@@Target850 *Being* **an** adult means having the discernment to understand the difference between advertisements and trailers, and between developers and publishers. Also having -ploughing- proper grammar and spelling, if for nothing else than helping other adults understand what the hell one is trying to say.
@@murdurmuffin7872 Being truly adult transcends mere discernment between marketing gimmicks like trailers and advertisements; it encompasses a holistic understanding of the entire gaming industry's mechanics, including the nuanced roles of developers, publishers, and marketers. Moreover, mastery over language, not just in grammar and spelling but in conveying complex ideas, facilitates not only clearer communication but also fosters a richer dialogue. It's about elevating the conversation, perhaps as a nod to those initial cinematic trailers that spark our debates.
While watching, references are floating in my head: Kerrigan from StarCraft, Lilith from Diablo, Ridley Scott's Prometheus, The Matrix, Cyberpunk, Nemesis from Resident Evil...
You guys remember the mid 2000s, when we would get mind blowing gothic post-apocalyptic cinematics about upcoming games that would get cancelled and never released?😅
@@MontroseChloe love when people waste money and time to animate a cinematic trailer about a game we don’t even know the genre of. Would’ve taken less effort and more useful to show off what’s in your actual game instead of getting a animator to waste for cinematics that only show the setting not the actual game.
@@Jeddy78 He's got a point though. Its one thing to have a minute of cinematics as a teaser but five minutes of cinematics with no gameplay? Its cause for concern in this day and age.
So happy to see the comments about “no gameplay” love to see it. The gaming community has to remind these studios what we want actually and not the investors.
People need to remember that this is a teaser. Anything with "reveal" in its name, your 99% of the time not going to see gameplay. Not a hard concept to understand. One would think people would realize this and understand this over the years. A gameplay trailer will come out later. 🤣
The studio is a shitty company called funplus currently facing 3 class actions for their microtransaction based mobile games which operate as disguised gambling casinos. Shitty through and through.
It's a Chinese mobile gaming company called funplus making it. It's microtransactions and disguised casino that will be sold as a game. Strictly avoid.
This looks like a game where the devs saw a lot of cool looking things in other games and decided to throw them all into the same game and hope for the best.
After watching this video. This is what went through my head. Scorn, Starcraft, Warhammer 40k, Resident Evil, Cyberpunk and Diablo are grouped together for the finals project. None of them did anything until the day of the project. Worst part, they are the 1st team to present their project
@@MontroseChloe you can do it from an stablished franchise, but making a trailer like this without any idea of what genre, style or whatever the game will be is kind of pointless
Looks like a crazy mix up of all kinds of stuff. I'm not sure what all is going on, but it does all look really cool. When will we get some gameplay footage?
It should really become an industry standard that first reveal should include gameplay OR at least be in-engine. Later trailers, including teasers for specific parts of the world, those can be more cinematic. But then again maybe after the example set by watchdogs and aliens colonial marines even that would be tarnished by the claim of: this is just early gameplay footage subject to change guys!
Not to sound mean, truly cool trailer and thank you animation team, director and staff for that awesome work. So where is the in game footage? Or anything about the game at all?
The DNA changing scene and the music style they chose for it reminded me of the Raimi Spider-Man DNA transforming scene minus the spiders crawling on the dna!
To all the Gaming Industry, The only Cinematic Trailers we accept are from Rockstar studios and for everybody else you gotta show us the actual gameplay so that you don't give us false hope. -Thank you Sincerely A Gamer
