Having a review that talks about both the positives and the clear issues as minor as they could be is a breath of fresh air. I was getting tired of seeing reviews which only said how amazing the device is (which it is) but not mentioning the clear QC issues ASUS has Excellent video! And thanks for featuring my Reddit post lol (the first one showed)
Thanks for the review I may as well get the steam deck OLED refurbished to spend $800 not including tax for issues is ridiculous during inflation and economic crisis in America and England
How did you sell yours? I picked up the Ally X and I don’t even want my go anymore. 1600p resolution is useless and most games run like crap on it regardless of the resolution, would think that 800p would make it better.
@@lorenzothomas2612 the legion go runs every game great bro probably never updated his driver or bios not to talk about the legion go beat the rog ally x in most games glad you want to sell it tho because you dont deserve that power 😂
I still have that issue on my right trigger which sounds springy, and when I press down on the dpad, it has an annoying squeaky sound after 4 weeks of use. never had issues on my OG deck til this day
I had both. It’s sort of a hard choice. What sold me the Ally X was that it had way better PS3 emulation and not having to tweak modern games to get them to run well. I do miss the OLED screen though, but the sharpness on the X screen is great and better than OLED. I also duel boot with bazzite so I can steamOS and game pass…. But still that OLED screen is missed.
@@John__117 I’ll say get the Ally X now. For one simple reason - the battery life (80whr). The new releases from other companies I’ve seen so far that are planning to get released next year, doesn’t even come close in terms of battery life. Ally X gives the best of both worlds, performance and battery life. Oh…the 24gb of Ram? Ultimate game smoothness 👌
