I have just taken delivery of this, as you can see, the onboard battery is fully charged, but I only get FPS of around 30 and the screen image is rather dull. When I reach over and plug the charger into the mains, the screen gets much better looking and the frame rate jumps to 163. Seems to me the RTX3070 only works when its plugged into the mains. I have tried various power/performance settings and it makes no difference. I also have issues with the HDMI port not detecting my VR headset though the usb port does, and the HDMI port only giving an option for a refresh rate of 59 and 60 Hertz. ASUS then told me performance is reduced when disconnected to the mains in order to save battery life, but they were unable to tell me by how much. I sent it back and obtained a full refund.
