What do U think is better regarding temps & build quality? Asus tuf or gaming x trio ? Both same price and I don’t care about power consumption or looks , I just don’t want to have problems like the gigabytes 30 series that JaysTwoCents reviewed in yesterday’s Video
Do all of these come with a pcu connector? I opened mine and it didn’t come with one. I am trying to install it where my two 2080 TI used to be and now I have 4 plugs to try on the one. Also the pcu plug looks different on my than yours.
Instead of using the small 12VHPWR cable that come with the GPU, I would rather use the Gen 5 12VHPWR PSU Cable that comes with all the new power supply ATX 3.0 because they are longer and you can connect them straight from the power supply to the gpu without any additional connectors or cables. I just thought it was more convenient and easier that way. I don't know how you feel about that. Lesser cables from the back is good to me
@mobastic or you can buy the 12VHPWR cable separately if your power supply supports it. Just one long single cable made everything convenient for me, and the back of my computer doesn't look like a cluttered mess anymore
OC is the overclocked version straight from the manufacture.. basically means ur paying them extra $ to go into the settings and mess with things that you and a few youtube vids can do. Not saying overclocking is bad but I prefer to leave gpus at stock, especially if they are newer cards like these. BUT if u got a reg stock card and the same card just the OC version... the OC version will use more power/ be a little warmer, but have more performance. GPU tweak 3 is just "complete control over 3D graphics performance and monitoring for ASUS, ROG, Strix, and TUF Gaming graphics cards." but the OC version gets that too.
Performance mode will let the fans spin up to keep the card running cool all the time. Quiet mode keeps the same power target and top-end settings, but offers a less aggressive fan curve for quieter operation at medium temps.
