I was waiting from 2014 to 2018 to get interview appointment.Finally when I got appointment everything was very good during interview and I expect to get decesion in next couple off weeks, but I got phone call on a day when I should pick up my decesion , that gonna be mailed to me. That was on Avgust 2018 and still nothing . After that I changed two states because off job, every time i updated my new address on time. I really don’t know why is taking so long. Do you maybe know what I can do to push them a little bit ?? Thank you in advance 🙏

Hi Alena, I have received my Receipt Notice for affirmative asylum and I'm waiting for biometrics and interview. My child is enrolled in grade 1 in a public school District. Does this constitute unlawful use of public benefit, which can bar asylum?

Hi, I had my interview date rescheduled by my lawyer because he was supposed to be on vacation with his family on the scheduled date. It took 2 years for me to have the date. Now it is rescheduled is it going to take another 2 years?

A pending I 130 in a preference category does not convey any status to the beneficiary. One can file for a work permit only when i 485 is pending.

Can a person "waiting for asylum interview" apply for DV lottery?

Yes, sure, but the person has to have a plan on how he/she is going to "collect" on that lottery. the only feasible option would be if a person also maintained non-immigrant lawful status and could adjust status.
