I'm talking to a dealer and they said they'd put $3000 over MSRP. I'm gonna fight for less but hey, compared to the horror stories of that past year or so $3000 ain't a bad deal if that's all.
@@andrewstravelupdate5298 you can't wait on a brand new car like this, somebody that's more excited or has more money will come along and pay the dealers asking price.
It’s sad that $40k is considered a bargain nowadays, feels like I was born too late to actually have enough money to get a cool car before they’re gone :(
Naw just work overtime and get money. That’s it find a job in manufacturing or some warehouse that’ll pay you $40k a year and then work overtime that’s all you need. In a way it limits everyone from getting what they want. You gotta strive nowadays
Just work on your credit bud. It’s rare for anyone to buy a car cash. Start with a 20k auto loan and work your way up. Everything is about credit in the US
@@bryansantillano yeah and with that salary, get shanked by obligatory labor tax and eat ramen for a year not to mention paying your bills and roof over your head… nah you totally need more than 40k-50k. More like at least 70-80k for (a very minimalistic lifestyled) comfortable living.
Y’all in the sub-comments forgot to think about the additional markup these cars are going to get too. This is definitely going to start at the very least 45-50k at stealerships if you’re lucky (or live in Canada with their MSRP laws)
@@abhish69 Economics exists. If you own a house, your home is worth $50-$100k+ than it should be in this market. Homeowners aren’t upset about that, and they would expect full value for their house when they sell. If you plan on trading in a vehicle, pre owned vehicles are higher in value to their immediate availability. Car owners will expect full trade-in value for their vehicle. The easy solution is this: if you don’t want to pay the market value, don’t expect somebody to pay market value for what you’re selling. Economics is as real as supply & demand. But don’t worry, you’ll still overpay for the next iPhone or Nike shoes, and your Starbucks drink priced at $7-$8 is made below a $0.75 value. Cars though, amirite?
Or carbon driveshaft. Starting to wonder how much value it is tho seeing as it's a 40k car that you'll need to put money into so it's actually fun to drive... 400hp with open diff RWD? Car will also need aftermarket intercooler if the cooling from the red sport is anything to go off
I agree, but it's also a bit of "greatest hits" from the parts bin. In reality, it's a 370z with a better motor and facelift. Oh how Nissan has fallen over the years but I like this one.
$40,000 is a bargain? Hell, no! But the Z has always been pricey. Only difference is now dealerships aren't willing to give away the type of good deals and incentives they use to. Back when the 350z first debut at dealerships I was one of the first in my city to have one. Got my Daytona Blue enthusiast edition for a little over 30k. My grandmother consigned and I was able to get it out the door with no money down. I was only 20 years old at the time making $10.25hr as a heat treat operator in a hole saw factory. About 80% of my weekly checks went towards my car payment, insurance and rice mods. The other 20% was spent at Circuit City. Was basically surviving off of the McDonald's dollar menu and Wendy's value meal coupons, but was well worth it. I miss those 99cent frostys lol. So yeah, 40-50k for a Z is doable even if you're living on a tight budget.
He did everything that Doug Demuro did! And it only took him 1 minute, rather than doug slowing walking through everything for a half hour. I like this guy
Just quick fyi this is the 48k sport model btw, the 38k one has smaller wheels, brakes, no ducktail spoiler and no lsd. Still the 38k base model undercuts the base 2.0 supra by a few thousand dollars while giving you a little over 100 extra hp. If you’re cross shopping the base models I’d say the Z is the way to go
Buy it (or the future it) in your late 20’s for cash... If you literally only invest the typical payment for a car in this range, you’ll be a millionaire in retirement. Plus, interest on top of a depreciating liability isn’t exactly winning with money 👀
This prob handles better around corners, and yeah thats if someone wants a v8, this will get better mpg n be around the same speed, now what we dont know is how it'll hold up long term because of how garbage Nissan has been getting lately.
@@cartere9981 its literary going to cost more to maintain because of the turbos naturally aspirated usually costs less in maintaining it also you can probably find a gt even lower price than this
@@anti4107 I'm guessing you learned from scotty that all turbo engines are bad lol literally the only "extra" maintenance would be changing oil at 5k or less which you should anyway if you tuned one of these twin turbo v6s you'll be at least 30-50 horsepower more then a FBO mustang so unless you wanna mess with adding a supercharger I'd rather have two turbos like I said bud
@@FructozeProductions this isn't a new engine nissans engines are solid so don't know wym by garbage when their v6s are some of the most reliable unless you're referring to the cvts which their sports cars don't have anyway.
