That is a possible scenario. Or it could be that they had a fight, and his being very intoxicated started to get physical. And she who was also intoxicated, tried to get off the boat and got into a lot of trouble. Either way wagner would have to answer to the police. But if you know anything about Los Angeles of those days, wagner was very well wired into the powers that be.

@JC-kk5wg 8 месяцев назад
After reading the materials available for this case and other similar cases. Knowing people and motivations after years of living I concluded Robert Wagner during an argument struck Nataile knocking her out. He then pushed her unconcious into the water. He untied the skiff and pushed it away from the the yacht Splendor. Natalie regained consciousness quickly but was not able to get into the skiff in ink black freezing cold water. Natalie screamed for help and was heard by a woman on another boat. That woman called the harbor master but no one answered the phone. So instead of trying to get more action she just went to bed. Unbelievably she did not try to get help to search for the screaming women. I found this shocking as well.

I have a completely different take than most people. Natalie Wood was a hot mess. She said she was raped by a well-known actor when she was very young and that changed her. She drank a lot and was quite volatile. It's highly possible that she slipped and fell overboard while she was drunk. Maybe Wagner and Walken prefer that her death seem a mystery to allow her some dignity in her death, rather than admitting that she caused her own death. Walken was smitten with her, so I really can't see him staying quiet, if Wagner had anything to do with it, but I can see both of them remaining quiet to preserve her dignity.

I do as well. Natalie had problems. That's just fact. She had a reputation for losing her temper, arguing in public. Her alcoholism was a big problem . I've always believed Chris would have squealed to the police if he saw Robert murder her. He wanted Natalie.
@andrewmiller4885
@andrewmiller4885 7 месяцев назад
Thats an interesting proposition you have put forward. I personally hope you are correct. I sincerely hope Wagner cared enough about Natile to "allow her some dignity in her death", as you so nicely put it,,,,, if in fact she fell overboard due to intoxication. No one has put that theory forward before as far as I know, and it's very feasible. However, water doesn't cause bruising. Natalie was found with clear and apparent bruising on her face and body. Nothing really adds up and the whole tragic story still remains a mystery. I will say one thing though and I have said it before. I don't like Robert Wagner I never really have, there is just something about him that comes across as disingenuous. Both On the screen and off. Thanks for your comment though, there IS good sense in it, and that may well be what happened.

I read a comment not that long ago on a video about this same topic and this person said they work around Robert Wagner but wouldn't explain any further. They saw him every few days and they said that for all his money and fame he didn't seem to be a chill, relaxed man. He was unhappy and had anxiety. Didn't sound like he slept well either. The writer truly thought he was haunted. Another comment I came across said that they knew RJ when he was a teenager and he acted or came across as a young gay man. His parents were well off and he flaunted himself as a well dressed gay person. I have no way of knowing if these original posters were telling the truth but they both seemed likely to me.

The problem is almost like the Casey Anthony case You know he did it but since they can't tell how she died they cannot say that he did anything in my opinion was he did something when he was smashed drunk blackout or not couple hours after that he decided to have people search for her and maybe he doesn't remember what happened but he must know that he had something to do with it there's no other way this could have happened she did not like the water, she was terrified of the water it was very late at night, getting a buoy off of a boat is not an easy task, she was not experienced whatsoever in boating, she was drinking, she was in her nightgown and the captain of the boat would always take her somewhere, she would never go by herself... Doesn't make any sense he was very angry he crashed a bottle of alcohol before both of them went into the cabin and started arguing That's when the captain knocked on the door and Wagner gave him a look like get out of here then the captain said everything was silent and so he went to the door again and that's when Wagner said she is gone. I'm almost positive he will go to his death without admitting anything.

She has some common points with Natalie portman. Both started acting as kids. Really good actresses. Wood died when Portman was born in 1981. Both of russian descent. But I think Portman is more balanced in terms of character.

I think that they should look at the captain of the boat. If Mrs Woods wanted off the boat because her husband and her co worker was having a heated argument then she would have went to him and he was drinking too maybe he wanted something for helping her leave and they got into a little fight and she tried to get in the little boat and fell and he said that he went to the cabin when they were fighting and then he went again sometime after they had stopped fighting and they found that she was gone then. If they Wagner and Wood did fight in the cabin then she might have gotten him to lay down and he went to sleep and she went to the captain and she was in her nightgown so she could have just went to bed and Wagner fell asleep and she got up. She might have not wanted to get off of the boat she would have at least got some clothes to change into if she was going to leave with boats around them. I think that the Captain has more to do with it. And if you are the Captain of a boat then you are the one who is going to be making the decision not the man that pays you. The Captain is the one who says what and when but he said that Wagner didn't want to turn on the lights to look for her ok he was upset that she left but as the Captain of you think that someone is overboard you have to call. I don't care who is paying you.

According to some sources, the reason they divorced in 1962 was because Wagner had a Valet/Butler who was a very personal close friend. Natalie walked into the bedroom of their house and found Wagner and the Valet standing next to him. Wagner was groping the Butler's buttcheeks. Natalie became enraged. This revelation would have ruined Wagner's career. Natalie was not a malicious person and she agreed to divorce citing "Irreconcilable Differences". Years later, they worked through their differences and remarried. The rest is a matter of public record.

This vid wanders around and never says anything new about the case. That was a small yacht. If there was an argument on deck resulting in Woods being knocked into the water, everyone on board would have heard it. Yet everybody's account differs. Woods was drunk. She very well could have stumbled and fell, fear of water or not. When you are drunk, you do stupid things.

@@HartmutJagerArt I don’t know it all at all, I am of the opinion that Robert Wagner was responsible for Natalie Woods death, based on the fact she was petrified of water, the bruising to her body, and the fact that the Captain of the boat testified that the had argued furiously. Until Wagner comes forward with his testimony NOBODY will know for definite. But rather than go to prison in his dotage I think he will leave a posthumous testimony. Christopher Walken is also keeping stum about the incident, presumably to avoid anyone being put in prison.
