Nonononono. They got off to easy. I'd sue them for years of emotional abuse fraud and theft. They got off too easy. They got to walk away with no real punishment at all.I'd destroy them for the shit they done to my father.
Oh, they got their punishment. For people like these two their punishment was getting nothing from OP's Dad's will. And having lawyer fees to pay due to the frivolous lawsuit they filed. This was the worse thing that could happen to them.
To be honest, your father is showing you the task of being an honest hardworking human in this day. You can have a strong loving heart but also learn how to shut the kindness of to protect yourself.
OP should have had his dad's lawyer with him in court as he was a part of this whole situation. The father had let his lawyer in on everything that he was doing, hell the lawyer had drawn up a fake will for OP's father and was present when the father had explained everything to OP. As a party to everything, that lawyer should have been with OP and his Aunt in the court, both in a professional manner and as a witness. Also, the father was an idiot, ignoring his family for work and when his wife left hoping on the first pretty face that opened their mouth. Married someone only interested in his money, whom he threw around money for her and her daughter. These two had "GOLD DIGGER" stamped on their forehead and he was more interested in them than his own child. It wasn't until the night before he died that he tried to inform and make up to his son, and then the innocent son was left to clean up the mess left behind. OP was left to handle the mess that resulted from the will, not the father, nor the lawyer who wrote two wills, the real and fake who both just skipped out on the trouble that they both mad with their own actions. It was only thanks to themselves and the judge that OP and his aunt were finally left in peace to enjoy their lives and their property after cleaning up others mistakes. Hope the only two innocent parties, OP and his aunt, can now enjoy the rest of their lives in peace.
If I was OP I wouldn’t give the actual name of the area that I and my aunt moved to! Imagine if he had and the “steps” had seen it, chaos would have ensued!

He did that because he found out how they were toward the end when he knew they were stealing he was probly sick and tired and didn't want to deal with it and if they knew ahead of time they would have made his life hell I don't blame the dad one bit like the video said he did it for the family's safety as well because after he was gone you know OPs family wouldn't have to be around those lying thiefs anymore

It wouldn't have even mattered if they didn't have that footage. The judge even told their lawyer that he was stupid to take the case, since the stepmother and stepdaughter had no proof for their claims. The will was legitimate and legal. It should have never come to court.
I think it was because they got caught stealing the money that the Dad didn't put them in the will and did everything how he did. It was unfair of him to put that on his son but he was ill at the time so i think that is why he did it the way he did it. If they had got wind of the real will they may have done something to him or claim he was not of sound mind before he died and shut the son out. I think that is why he wanted to wait until he died before they found out and did the fake will. There must have been more to it than just catching them stealing too. Thank God for the Aunt, because of her not only did she get video footage of the stealing, she also had all the evidence for the son, the aunt protected them both the whole time.
Your father should had given them a $1 a piece in the real will. Then they can’t protest the will in court. Good that your Aunt on the texts to the video has evidence of them stealing money. Accusations against your dad was no evidence of being abused. Now your dad can rest in peace knowing the toxic mom and daughter is out of your life for good.

Surprisingly received a pension plus half his inheritance between my mother and my part. My step siblings have hounded us ever since. They lost in court twice and 30 years later, with me in a different country, and the scars of several physical, financial and emotional attacks, I do not dare to be in the same room with them. Other relatives have threatened to rip me a new one, so I have never returned to my home country since we wrapped up the second court victory. I will not give them the satisfaction to end me. My father was a monster and left us with this legacy of grief. I would beat him to a pulp if I had him in front of me.

Sadly, if his father lawyer was worth anything.. the will would have been so airtight.. that even if they brought the court case.. they would lose more than they could gain. On top of that, he should have been already there to defend OP in this.. as it’s the will they were arguing.. and he’s a player in drafting it. That said.. a story we’ve heard all too often in life..
If he did have dark secrets whatever they were well he's gone whatever they think they can do to harm him they can't do anything to harm him the dead or Dad it's not like they're going to be able to bring him back to life and torture him because well good luck with that I think that they're just torturing themselves with the fact that they can't do anything and they're trying to get to you through that so I would ignore it

Mate, why do you keep writing these stupid "fluff" stories? Or, if you have someone else write them, change the writer to someone who knows the Law. Most of what is said/claimed in this story is WRONG! Who was the Executor of the Will? His Lawyer or the son? That is the person who has the Legal responsibility to organise everything to do with the Estate. So, if the Wife thinks she has been dealt with unfairly, she simply Contests the Will. She does NOT sue the son! A major problem with this story is that it is so light on any details. We don't know how the assets of the father were owned. Via Trusts? Companies? In his name? The reality is that, when he marries, the wife becomes Joint Owner of marital assets. Unless other legal provisions have been put in place to change that. So, the whole garbage story about the new wife and her daughter "inheriting" is just a fluff piece to generate emotional Clicks. If he does have substantial assets, the Executor would normally be the Lawyer, NOT the half-wit son. The whole "having two Wills, a fake one and a real one" is just garbage. The only Legal Will is the current one. In fact, if the Lawyer has officially given the Wife a copy of a "Fake Will", knowing it to be Fake, the Lawyer will be in BIG trouble for attempting to deceive a rightful heir of the marital assets! Enough of a problem to get struck off! Do you see why I get irate at these stupid, idiotic stories?
This story sounds fake. It's too convient, too well timed. 'don't worry son your in the will and I never loved the woman I married' then drops dead. Feels very B grade Hollywood.
