At least 44 horses killed while trapped in burning Logan County barn 

Trainers tried to save as many animals as possible when a barn in Logan County burned over the weekend.
The blaze started just after noon on June 8 on SR 638 near Belle Center. The barn was home to Brant Performance Horses.
Owner Brandon Brant said his family and employees rushed to clear horses from the barn. One of their trainers suffered severe burns while trying to save even more animals.
