No one wants to hear this, but people were better off with vicodin prescribed by a doctor. Opiate addiction is awful but cracking down on legal opiates has only lead to a wave of fentanyl deaths. Endless amounts more and more its heartbreaking.

Ppl who need pain medication need 2 b able 2 access that at their dr, instead now ppl r turning 2 the streets due 2 drs not giving the medication they need 2 survive. Maybe things need 2 change so that ppl can get the care they need an can get that from their dr instead of having 2 turn 2 the streets. It’s ridiculous. This needs 2 b fixed so that ppl like my grandma didn’t have 2 die in agony. Only when she was finally put on hospice was she given anything 4 pain a was forced 2 suffer the last 5 years of her life in daily agony a pain. Her at 87 years old sn refused anything 4 her pain. It’s our body not the DEAs so we should have a say in how we r able 2 manage chronic pain. Our bodies, our pain, it’s really choice not any1 else. Laws need 2 change so that ppl who truly need the help can actually get the help & care they need from their dr & not b forced 2 turn 2 other means jus 2 survive an have any kind of productive an manageable life.
